Do not go there, the doctors avoid doing any real work, they will schedule you register you in, make appointments call you in seat you and after they will eventually tell you to reschedule for another day. BS the doctors are profiling and avoiding patients, That is illegal for a clinic to do. The doctors get paid by patients and so they will reschedule you and bill you only not to attend to your medical needs, it's negligent. They shouldn't be a doctor if that be the attitude. The front desk staff is rude and not so bright. This has happened to me more than once Dr Monma Eunice has consciously denied me treatment, I had appointments. She works only one day. Lasante is using poor peoples insurance, over scheduling and not seeing them, just for numbers, proof of intake and $$$$$. Those doctors don't Care, it's just a money grab on poor people's behalf. They Will Check You In, but Not Check You Out. It's a Fraud of a Clinic. They Lie to patients and the staff is scared to do the right things. I left a similar review three years ago on the LHC Google page and here I find myself leaving a review with the same issue. My prescription refills are frequently late and require me to take time I don't have from work to continuously call LHC to have my prescription sent to the pharmacy. I've been attempting to have my RX sent to the pharmacy for a week now, to no avail. It's due today and have had to call over ten times between the last three days. I'm told I'll be given a call back, it'll be sent today, it was sent etc. I put my request in with more than enough notice every month, and still they cannot seem to get it out in time. It's a controlled substance so to be frantically trying to get my refill in this manner is not compliant and simply careless for patients. I was given several conflicting responses today by the operators and I was just told "they will not send it today because it's a controlled substance". This isn't what I was told in the morning by another operator who said it was sent to the wrong pharmacy. I've put my travels, and other family members travels on hold because I need my prescription. Ive been given the run around for a week, and finally told I will not be assisted. And that I have to call THEM, AGAIN, tomorrow. I don't understand how they function this way but it's alarming for various reasons. If your doctors will be away there needs to be a policy and procedures where any fill in doctors can attend to time sensitive prescription matters for your patients. And a better line of communication between all staff involved that we, patients, are forced to go through. I don't appreciate my time being wasted, being told several differing statements about the status of my RX, and being told to deal with it. This is my health, my life, and I don't need to deal with anything. Your organization needs to do better. Or be investigated. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! The WORST medical "treatment" I have ever received. Completely unprofessional and barely trying. Firstly, the reception area is a joke, as soon as you get off the elevators you are suddenly cramped into a (no exaggeration) 10 x 10 foot space with a bunch of other dissatisfied, confused, and disgruntled people. There is no order to anything, reception area is loud with people playing videos and games very loudly on their phones. No staff says anything to them though everyone is visibly annoyed. Just chaos and loudness. Every time I visit I arrive early and end up waiting 1.5 hours to see anybody. You don't actually speak with Dr. Valery but instead deal mostly with rushed nurses and med students. Then the doctor comes in for all of 3 MINUTES, doesn't talk to you just quizzes the med student about what they were told, spits out some medical jargon, then throws some prescriptions at you, and is out the door. Complete disregard for the patient and no empathy whatsoever! Every time I have visited I am left sitting in the room after the doctor comes in neglected for an hour waiting for someone to tell me I can leave. On many occasions I have had to come out of the room to ask someone if I can leave. Nobody ever knows what is going on. I came in for a pain in my side recently, was supposed to be a simple visit to get a referral to a physical therapist as I thought it was a muscle pain. Dr. Valery suspected it was an internal issue and sent me for X-Ray and ultrasound. For TWO WEEKS I went back and forth with Dr Valery's office and the radiologist with Dr. Valery's office telling me they haven't received my results the whole time waiting in pain. By the morning of my diagnosis appointment I discover that they have ONE PERSON that deals with all the faxes and she was gone for TWO WEEKS and they had NOBODY TAKE HER PLACE. So two weeks of backed up, crucial, potentially life changing medical faxes at a DOCTOR'S OFFICE with NO CORRESPONDENCE !!! I would like to take a moment to thank Dr Valery-my Primary Care Physician since the age of 17- and his team for always taking the time to listen to my concerns and making sure I pause for a moment to prioritize my health!! It's not always easy, but having a Physician with such a broad experience with autoimmune diseases etc...'really makes it an easier journey- (especially in my case)!!! It motivates me to take the best care of myself!! I recently had no other choice but to slow down because of a medical crisis! I knew something was different when I was not able to lift my 4Y old daughter at only 37lbs- and felt like I was walking uphill after going on my normal evening walks, as an extremely active person at an average weight.I immediately called Dr Valery's office,and was able to see him the same day. The feeling of dizziness,weakness and fatigue throughout my body was something I could barely explain,even after consuming 3-4 cups of coffee I would come crashing within an hour! For context, I've always been self-employed and have had expensive, garbage Obamacare insurance since 2015. Then COVID hit and I was allotted Medicaid and have been on Medicaid for 3 years by the grace of god. I started going to LaSante because they took Medicaid and wasn't sure what to expect. You can tell by my old review that I loved it. So it's been two years and I STILL love this place. Now they have a psychiatric nurse practitioner! She is young and smart and takes Medicaid and she works on the weekends! Truly that is a unicorn among psychiatric prescribers. Every psychiatrist in NYC is a barely-alive elderly man who charges $500/hr if you can even get an appointment, which you can't. She assesses for ADHD in KIDS, which any parent knows is a godsend. The staff is still super polite, every doctor I've seen is friendly and competent. I recently saw the podiatrist (because why not, my feet are gnarly and my insurance probably ends this year) and she was like, yep you have bunions here is a prescription for orthopedic insoles. The dentists are great too. Wait times are usually minimal. No doctors office is perfect but this one is pretty great. read more

Do not go here. The doctors DO NOT CARE. They put forth ZERO EFFORT. They will do only enough to to bill your insurance. After waiting an hour and fifteen minutes to be seen, the assistant came in and asked me more questions than the doctor. I went in because my knees hurt badly. Dr. Mckenzie didn't look at them, test my range of motion, nothing. Another young woman came in to draw my blood, and asked if I was given a referral for imaging of my knees. When I said no one told me anything, the phlebotomist got the doctor for me. When he finally returned to the exam room, he asked me if I was given the referral. I said no. I said I want to see a knee specialist and asked for guidance on how to fix my knee pain. He said get braces and take Tylenol. Which I'm already doing. You'd get better care from Webmd than these useless individuals titled doctors. I also saw Dr. Gold during my visits here. He's just as bad. If you value your health avoid this place like the plague. Dr. Valery thinks he is god and his word is bond and that he can't be wrong. He absolutely hates when people self-diagnose themselves and takes it as a personal affront. I have been struggling with candida overgrowth for exactly 2 years now and when it first presented itself I told Dr. Valery that this is what I have and he insisted I was wrong. Two years later this condition has wreaked havoc on my life. I now have an overactive thyroid, eczema, difficulty breathing, sinus infections, toenail fungus, insomnia, blurry vision, allergies, and the list goes on. Oh and when my test came back for an overactive thyroid, guess what??? I was never notified. I was only notified when I went back to the doctor almost a year later for my growing list of ailments. Did you know the thyroid is connected to the heart!?! I again insisted in 2023, a year from my initial doc appt in February 2022 where I insisted I had candida overgrowth due to having a white coated tongue, that I was suffering from Candida overgrowth and was again shot down by Dr. Valery. This is almost 2 years to the date of my original appt in February of 2022 where I told Dr. Valery, I had eaten at a food truck, to which he never treated me for any food-borne illness yet treated me for too much acid in my stomach which is the last thing someone with candida overgrowth needs or someone dealing with food borne illnesses needs. It wasn't until the fall of 2023 that I insisted on a stool sample and it was discovered that I had ecoli in my system. The ecoli gave the groundwork for candida to thrive in my system. It has now invaded my whole body. It has taken a toll on my mental health and when you tell Lasante Health this they literally will look at you as if you're crazy. If I knew how easy it is to be a doctor I would have gone to medical school. Because these people don't know anything beyond the book that is put in front of them. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Vivian (an NP there). I've called her many times and messaged her through their portal many times- she has not gotten back to me on either of them. A few minutes before the appointment, SHE TRIED TO CANCEL THE APPOINTMENT. I'm sorry, but a few minutes is not acceptable. I've been trying to have her send over an alternative prescription to my pharmacy because my insurance does not cover the one she initially sent over. However, she ignores ALL forms of contact. Also, the company RARELY picks up their phone- it's really frustrating. They say they'll call back BUT THEY NEVER DO. My insurance isn't the best-paying and it showed with how she treated me. Unless you have a well-paying private insurance, her manner towards you will be rude and dismissive. The cherry on top was that my virtual appointment with her was less than 3 minutes. They have blocked me on social media for reaching out inquire about why my appointments were canceled after several attempts in person and over the phone. All because I was adamant that the dentist and the assistant wash their hands in front of me. They were insistent on using hand sanitizer - the hand sanitizer stations aren't even in the room. Why is it so difficult for health professionals to wash their hands at the clients request? Especially during this pandemic. There is a big difference in sanitizing and cleaning. Although sanitizer will sanitizer your hands the debris is still present. Absolutely disgusted by this facility! And I will be filing grievances! read more

I had never heard of LaSante Health Ctr. but was directed there recently by my insurance. The staff was amazing. I admit, at the front desk, the first person I encountered wouldn't take me so I was standing there for a bit while the other person there was attending to someone- but that worked out fine because then I spoke with Kat at the front desk and she was SO helpful and after seeing me wait expedited my being seen. The nurse practitioners were especially amazing. Caroline & Katrina were helpful and Katrina was very thoughtful with a great bedside manner. The head nurse, Anita, was unbelievably one of the best medical practitioners I've ever been seen by. She's better than most doctors. She asked thoughtful and mindful questions, she not only listened to the responses but then had a thoughtful & accurate analysis to follow. So often, as women our concerns are dismissed or invalidated, but Anita not only acknowledged them but addressed them with the best bedside manner, humor, candor, mindfulness, all while getting everything done so I left feeling great and for the first time as a female, really seen, heard & treated. I couldn't recommend LaSante Health Center more and plan to return. read more

My baby was scheduled for an appt here at 9 am June 3 2022 with Dr Joseph. This office has two email addresses and my phone number. The receptionist lied saying this office "tried to call" me to say the time changed to 10 am, and said if I waited they could "squeeze me in". Hold up, if they'd changed my appointment to 10 am, then why would the Dr need to squeeze me in?! No, they did not change my appointment time, Dr Joseph just wasn't there for whatever reason. All messages I received confirmed 9 AM 6/3/2022 and there were no voice messages, my voice messages folder is not full. IF they tried to call and couldn't reach me, they could've and should've emailed or texted me the change in time; rather, they sent two emails and several text messages stating they looked forward to my daughter's appointment at 9 am 6/3/2022, with a few requesting that I confirmed same. I told the receptionist that I couldn't wait because I have my own appointment at 11 am. In response she snapped, "Well the Dr isn't here!" She didn't offer to reschedule or anything. Furthermore, that is the last time this miserable receptionist will snap at me; the first time was on my way to my baby's first appointment here, the Uber was stuck behind a school bus, I called and I wasn't even late, she repeatedly yelled at me to be there or my baby wouldn't be seen. Then I got there on time and had a long wait anyway. Also, when I scheduled the appt I specifically requested and was reassured that they had all of the vaccines I told them my daughter needed, but they did not! I had to schedule another appointment for my baby to get one of them, wasting more time. Apparently Dr Joseph is the only person there who keeps track of pediatric vaccines, she'd just returned from maternity leave, no one bothered to check before we got there. The providers themselves are fine but the actual office sucks. They call themselves a low income clinic and take Medicaid plans, but clearly have something against poor people. They advertise all their different doctors and want you to get all your healthcare services in the same clinic, but won't let you see two providers in one day. So, if you do actually see multiple doctors here, you have to come back day after day, which is the opposite of convenient. God forbid you have a job. They provide no other reason than "company policy" and "insurance" meanwhile I can see 3 or 4 providers in the same day at different clinics with no issue. Certain specialties also have a months long wait, or they call you to reschedule a previously made appointment, and then you end up with 2 in one day and they make you cancel day of. Additionally, some of the front desk staff here is awful. I called once for a refill on a prescription, which they made me spell 4 times despite the fact that it should be in my chart, and then when I actually spoke to the doctor she said she couldn't even make out the drug because the spelling was completely butchered. Then, today when they cancelled my appointment because I'm not allowed to see a therapist and dentist in the same day apparently, the entire dental front desk staff was rude, slow, and clueless. Unless this is your only option insurance wise, it's so much easier to go anywhere else. read more

I made an appointment to get my first COVID vaccine here. I thought the lobby area and elevators were uncleanly. When I went up to the second floor I had to wait in a line, and then it took me 2 hours to finally go into the room. They take you into rooms in groups and are very disorganized. When I was in the room, a nurse happened to walk by the open door and asked what I was in there for. I said the vaccine and she looked at me very confused. I was very hesitant to get the vaccine here, and I didn't think the room looked very clean. I then made the mistake to return for my second vaccine and same thing- there are screaming children running around and it took me 2 hours with an appointment to get the vaccine. I will say the staff is very friendly, especially the security guard. But I would not get anything other than a vaccine here. read more

The customer service at reception falls well below expectations. Staff is apathetic almost robotic treating clients like an item to check off thier to do list. My internist Dr. McKenzie is excellent, very thorough - explains everything. Labs are uploaded to your patient portal so you dont have to call for info. I take my health very seriously and I expect the same from health professionals. I recently scheduled and appointment with a front desk clerk, I was very specific about the type person I wanted to be my primary care provider. That request was not honored. During that visit I had blood work done and requested a prescription for a mammogram. Ten days after my appointment I noticed that I never received a call or letter with the results of my blood tests. I called on 11/30/2020 (my blood work was taken on 11/19) and was told by the receptionist that they did in fact have my blood work results... nobody called me. I scheduled a call with the FNP for specific time, she called before the scheduled time and I missed the call. I called back 7 times with no answer. The 8th time I called someone picked up and said "La Sante. Please hold" and never came back on the line. I called again at 5:20pm looking for some answers and was told that my appointment has been moved to 12/3/20 @ 1:15pm and the FNP had already left for the day... her work days must be abbreviated, I thought to myself. My issue with it all is had I not call at 5:20pm I wouldn't have known I was rescheduled for the following day. If l didnt call on Monday 11/30, I wouldn't have received a call with my results. I also never recieved the prescription needed for the mammogram. Communication is important especially in regards to ones health. Do better La Sante people's lives depends on it. read more

I have been to La Sante multiple times for a variety of health related issues, from vaccines, sexual health testing to injuries, and each time I leave feeling well taken care of. Dr. Valerie is one of the most charming doctors I have ever met and NP Ofiong is so full of life that her energy left me feeling uplifted after my visit. When I have been unable to visit or needed to have a follow up, the front desk scheduled televisits for me which was very convenient. Their team is efficient and amazing. There are times I was not able to get the appointment date and time of my choosing however the manner in which reception responded was professional as they tried to find ways to accommodate me. I did not get the name of the gentleman I spoke to in reception when I called in December but he was beyond professional. Also, Jamila at reception is also extremely professional and follows through with her promises. I live in Harlem, but I make it my duty to trek to Brooklyn to receive their services as I know I am in good hands. I truly appreciate how convenient they make everything for me and the comfortable environment when I visit. I have never used their dental or optometrist services but something I look forward to in the future. read more
