Very Disappointed with this Restaurant! I live in Cherry Hill not far from the Promenade saw LaScala's Fire when I was at the Apple Store told my GF hey we should order from here one night!! Maybe a month or so after that we did and I'm sorry I did! Chicken was Dry on my Parm Sandwich, Pizza was horrible, Salad with Grilled Chicken had no seasoning and was also Dry!! My GF's Mom also joined us that evening for Dinner and she said the same thing it was Horrible! Not Cheap Either 4 of us Total Bill $80 and Change if I Recall we did take out. Shocked cause the Place Looks like a Very Nice Establishment!! So with that said NEVER AGAIN.... We've had two meals here so far, both have been good. The space is open and airy with minimal decor. The atmosphere is casual and the service is attentive. We've eaten outside and in, both times with good results. Italian is the fare and they do it well. The sauce is light and zesty. Stay away from the calamari (very chewy) but definitely get the brussel sprouts (delicious). This is a BYOB restaurant so bring your favorite Chianti or Brunello di Montalcino and enjoy! read more

Anytime I think of LaScala I get hungry and happy. This is such a great spot for a quick bite, nice date night, or girls night. From the awesome menu options to the flavorful food and awesome staff, LaScalla is always a hit. I've been here a few times now and I've tried so many things, all so delicious. The Brussel sprouts, the truffle mac and cheese, the honey ricotta, the seafood pasta, salads, and pizza, oh so so so good. The one thing I have yet to try is dessert. I had never been here before. However, my son went with friends and wouldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was that he and his friends had ordered. So, off we (the whole family) went, and he was spot on! Every appetizer we had, GET THE CALAMARI, was delicious. The entrees are huge and last for 3 meals. The wait staff was excellent (thank you for for seating us where we wanted)! Our water glasses were never empty. We shared desserts and they were also tasty. I placed an order through Uber eats for a grandma pizza, calamari, and a Ricotta board. The calamari was cooked well, but a bit bland. The Ricotta board was delicious! Unfortunately I had ordered the pizza for multiple people assuming that for $17 it would be of a decent size. Little did I know that pizzas from this place are all personal size and as a result did not have enough food for everyone. From what I can tell there is no sizes listed for their pizza on Uber eats, or on their website menu. I suppose I could have called ahead of time to ask the size, or looked up a picture of their pizza online. As a first time customer, i can't help but feel a bit deceived by the omission of the size from the menu. read more

The worst food for the highest price! We were shocked tasting what was poorly prepared,overcooked pasta. A pizza the size of a frisbee for 18.00! Chicken wings that were dry and overcooked. Nothing we ordered had good flavor. Kind of shocking considering the prices. Then you cannot spend more than 100.00 ! Totally ridiculous. So conflicted about this place. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch a few weeks ago. They've redone it since my last visit here and it's absolutely beautiful inside. But the amount of flies in this restaurant was OUT OF CONTROL. They sat us at a table in the back towards the middle. There were SO many flies buzzing around, landing on the tables and chairs around us, landing on our table. I was so disgusted waiting for my food I barely had an appetite. My boyfriends food came out 10 mins before mine which was frustrating. A few mins into him eating I asked our waitress if we could please move to a different area because the flies were insane. She was very nice and said yes. My food finally came out and it was very good, and my boyfriend really enjoyed his food too. It was unsettling to eat around all the flies but nonetheless. We got a salad with a chicken cutlet on top and a seafood pasta dish. I would maybe consider coming back here in the winter when hopefully no more flies. read more

As much as I wanted LaScala Fire to be amazing, it did not meet my expectations. The presentation is beautiful and the crisp white tables, plates and walls make for a great Instagram backdrop. But the food overall is lacking flavor and left much to be desired. We started with he Margherita pizza which was delicious. I wish the top would have been a bit more burnt and crispy. He cheese to sauce ratio was good with big slices of mozzarella cheese. The sauce is amazing. We wanted to jar the sauce and buy it for Sunday pasta (unfortunately they do not jar the sauce). However. The pizza cools down very quickly and the cheese cools quickly making it not the best unless you can eat the pizza fast. Next we had the ricotta board which is ricotta cheese layered with honey and served with focaccia sticks. The ricotta is cold and overly sweet with the amount of honey added. Had this been a warm baked ricotta drizzled with honey, it would have improved but the cold ricotta in a jar did not do it for us. The calzone is incredible. We did ours meatless because we don't eat pork and it was still fabulous. Oozing with cheese and sauce we loved this. The worst thing was the calamari. It took the longest to get and was cold the minute it hit our table which did not make sense. The fish was like plastic- tasted over cooked and hard. We could not even eat it. When we sent it back the chef did not seem to pleased but the calamari was terrible. It's a dish we often order at many Italian restaurants and it should not have been severed the way it was served to us. My dad had the baked eggplant and loved it. Said it was very good and what he expected. LaScala Fire should be known as a pizza place and that's it. Go for the pizza or calzone. Every thing else left much to be desired. read more

It's busy, so it must be good. Our appetizer that everyone raved about, the ricotta board, was simply chilled ricotta with honey. Chicken parmesan was warm. Sauce was bitter. As I bit into the lasagna, I mentioned it tasted like uncooked frozen lasagna. I was right, cut open the middle and it was ice cold. Since the cheese on top showed no signs of being cooked, I can only assume the food is microwaved. If you want to gather for a snack and a few drinks, this might be the place to go. I've always had a great meal here. I love the ricotta and honey board. Ive had the octopus salad here which I would have loved without the celery. It was so bitter and too large to work in this salad. I'll know for next time just to ask for the salad without the celery. My only issue I have is how they often leave the door open in the summer. I've seen way too many flies flying in and out of there during the summer and it rubs me the wrong way being that the chefs are cooking right out in the open there. I love this place and have enjoyed many wonderful dinners here. Tonight, my husband and I ordered a salad from the hostess stand as he made me dinner at home but wanted a good salad to accompany it. The hostess (blonde bob style haircut) gave us an obnoxious look of shock as we only ordered a salad and told us that we could have saved her the time of writing it down had she known that was the ONLY thing we were going to order. I had to walk out because of her rude facial expressions. Then my husband overheard her asking why everyone is looking at her as she was referring to some new wait staff.
