I am a former sleek med spa client. I had a few treatments left so i went to laser cosmetica for these. Each time i went for a treatment i was told that if i wanted to continue treatments after my package ran out it would only cost me $50 per half hour session. ( apparently it was a special deal that they had for former sleek med spa clients). My package ran out and i went in bright and early on a saturday morning for my first $50 treatment. Before i even check in completely I'm told i need to buy a new treatment package for $1000! I told the person at the desk that 3 different people told me about the $50 per treatment moving forward.(The person at the front desk was one of the people who told me about the $50 per session! I guess she has a short memory.) I refused to be sucked in to a bait and switch so I guess i won't be going to this place anymore. I did give them an opportunity to redeem themselves - the manager has my name and number - if she calls me and honors the $50 per session that was promised to me i think i would be comfortable changing my opinion on here - but as it stands - bad business practices far outweigh any good treatments. I have never Yelped before, but I feel like I need to let people know about this place. I had an AWFUL experience there tonight! My account was transferred to Laser Cosmetica when Sleek Med Spa shut down their Massachusetts locations. As I was brought into the treatment room, the woman asked me what I was there to get done. Her not know and not holding my file in her hand should have been my first clue that this was not a good company to be at. Next, she informed me that they only scheduled me for a half hour and I needed an hour. Now, I had scheduled an hour and told the technician this. She merely shrugged her shoulders and said, "It's been happening a lot." I looked past this and continued to lay down to start the treatment. As I lay on the table with my shirt off and the technician started, she decided this was a good time to ask, "Now, you know you have to pay for this treatment right?" I'm a life-time member of Sleek and paid all of my money upfront so therefore don't pay anymore. I told her I was never informed I'd have to pay more money, which was the second time she simply shrugged and said that this also happens a lot. The only thing she could tell me to do is go talk to the manager upfront. When I went to speak with the "manager" she told me someone should have...and that was it. No apology, no attempt to try to make the experience better. The only explanation she wanted to give to defend the business was that my appointment WAS scheduled for an hour and that the technician was wrong, NOT her. Everyone just kept passing the buck to the next person. If you are looking to get a laser treatment, GO ELSEWHERE!! This place is extremely unprofessional and unorganized. read more

Well! They up and closed their doors per the other reviews. No notice - no phone call. I only knew because they posted on their facebook page. I am out $800 and my mother over $1500. My treatments were working so well too and Im very disappointed. Ive filed complaints with the BBB and ripoffreport.com and am contacting the state and perhaps an attorney. I just want my money back. They did the same thing Sleek Medspa did. read more

Same experience, I was also a Sleek costumer. I can never reach them on the phone, no one ever call me back!. The treatment was unprofessional. The crew is not nice. Not to mention, the first time I was transferred to Roxbury, I had to rent a car, drive for almost an hour and to find a close office!!!, when I told them, they didn't even apologize. I am not a life time member, I will finish the treatments I paid for and will look for a different company. There are a lot of options out there. read more

Have already written a review. Do not even think of making an appointment at Laser Cosmetica. Very unethical Company. Closed their doors the first week of March without notification. I already paid for services that I never performed. Have not received an explanation and have not talked to a real person regarding my request for a refund. Have filed a complaint with the MA Attorney's Office. read more

This place closed without notice in February and there is no news for the customers who have unfinished but paid treatments. They are not cheap and they own me over $1300 of treatments. I still received ads 2 months after the office closed. This place is a scam and I'm reporting it to the BBB. I am also looking at lawsuit at this point. read more

I showed up for my appointment today and was left waiting for 20 minutes after my appointment started, then they decided to tell me the office was shut down and my appointment was cancelled. They said they were moving to Braintree and I could reschedule my appointment for when they open at the end of April. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!! Horrible horrible horrible management. I had no problem with the technicians. Unfortunately as I was leaving they were also leaving because they were laid off. :( read more

My experience was very similar to other reviewers. Horrible experience !! WILL NEVER EVER go back to this place. Just praying all the time to finish up my previous package so, the nightmare of working with this place will finish. VERY unprofessional, rude, and simple worse you ever can imagine!! PLS STAY away from this place. Had I have an option to get my money back I would not hesitate BUT, I am stuck and have to finish my package. HUGE WASTE of money. My photo appointment were re-scheduled and cancled 3-4 times. all appointments there are late or has been booked short so, they can not complete the treatment !! Now, this is third time they are re-locating without informing their customer!! I am thinking to file a complaint with state general attorney for their rip off practice !! Terrible experience! They switched locations three times while I saw them, sometimes just a few days before my next appointment. Each location was a nightmare to get to on public transit, unless you splurge on a damn taxi! The service was unfriendly and uncaring, and I felt like I was very unwanted there. My treatments also didn't end up working, but that's just my personal experience. All in all, it was a waste of time and money, and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. read more

I received laser and chemical peel treatments at Laser Cosmetica in West Roxbury, Boston. I was not happy with their chemical peels. Plus, a few times their employees were rude and disrespectful. Also, there were times that my appointments somehow got canceled, so I drove 45 minutes for nothing. For awhile, I was feeling like I was wasting my time and money but an incident few days ago was just too much to keep receiving treatments there. I was not only yelled at by a manager but she also slamed the door in my face. When I walked out the door that day, I told myself that I refuse to get treatments there again. Usually, this type of behavior is not ok anywhere but I guess, at this place this way of speaking and treating clients is normal since her boss covered her, so did everyone else. Also, the woman who did my laser treatments told me all type of things that were going on there, which I wish I knew before signing up for that place. I, myself met many clients in the waiting room that were unhappy about one thing, or another. I am definately going somewhere else where clients are valued. And I DO NOT recommend anyone to get treatments at Laser Cosmetica. If I will also have problems getting the rest of my money back since I paid for all my treatments in the beginning, I will keep Yelp posted. read more
