Seeing Seattle from that height gives you a completely new appreciation for the city and its surroundings. What made the visit even more enjoyable was the staff. Every employee I encountered was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. Their warmth made the experience feel even more special, and it was clear they take pride in creating a positive atmosphere for visitors. One observation I did have relates to the elevator experience. It has been two years since my last visit, and unfortunately, the elevator's video system is still not functioning. I remember when the observatory first opened, and the video played during the ride up--it added an engaging and memorable element to the experience. Without it, the ride feels noticeably less enjoyable. Interestingly, others seemed to feel the same way. I mentioned how long the video system has been out of service while riding up, and a couple riding up with us--visiting from Australia--commented that it would have been nice to have something to watch during the ascent. As an alternative, it might be a wonderful opportunity for the elevator operator to share a few interesting facts during the ride up. A brief, engaging introduction--highlighting that this is the tallest building in Seattle, along with a bit of history about its construction and facts about its tenants--could really enhance the experience and help pass the time in a meaningful way. Additionally, with all three video screens currently not working and visibly cracked, addressing this issue would make a noticeable difference. Either repairing or replacing the screens--or even temporarily covering them--would create a much more polished and welcoming feel for visitors and help elevate the overall experience. You can't beat the view though!

The experience felt much more laid back, with fewer crowds and plenty of space to take in the views. It is also technically taller than the Space Needle. The observatory floor goes all the way around and has lots of helpful information and displays explaining what you're looking at, which made the experience more engaging than simply taking photos from an observation deck. There's also a café w/ bar upstairs, making it easy to relax and spend some time enjoying the scenery. One of the biggest advantages is that you get incredible panoramic views of Seattle including the Space Needle itself, which makes for some great photo opportunities. We got lucky and it was a beautiful afternoon and were able to watch the sunset from there. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the overall value, this ended up being one of my favorite stops in Seattle.

It is definitely not as tall as Sky View or the Space Needle, but is much less crowded and still offers amazing 360 views. It's also cool that there are people who still work in the historic building! They don't open before noon, so plan accordingly. Staff was super friendly and upbeat, and you do need an entry ticket to get to the observation deck bar/restaurant. If you go early on a weekday, you basically get the place to yourself for a little bit, which is super cool. Worth a visit if you're in the area!

Richard advised that He'd been working with & for your company for ten years now & we were both SO impressed very & highly impressed by ALL the wealth of knowledge he had up his sleeve! LOL, I then also asked him, LOL, perhaps the dumbest question of ALL time which he has ever heard during his tours - Richard had been informing us about how Seattle had held the World's Fair ... LOL, but I was still plagued by interest, thus I asked how a city gets chosen to hold a World's Fair & good old Richard, God Bless Him - tried his best to answer! After the tour, my partner Chris was like - Ruben, you are SUCH an idiot for asking something SO stupid! At any rate, BRAVA! Richard ensured we were entertained throughout the entire tour! There's a VR car ride, an alien bull ride (must-do), and a diverse range of contemporary art across different mediums. I think it's worthwhile for everyone because it is interactive, engaging, and easy to enjoy even if you're not "into" art There's also the Mirror Mirror exhibit, which is basically an interactive photo competition inside the gallery. You take your photo in front of the large mirror installation and submit it for a chance to be featured in their rotating display. Visitors vote on their favorites, and the selected images are showcased in the space. My photo was actually featured for a few weeks, which was such a cool surprise and made the whole experience feel personal -- I feel like I'm a part of the Seattle community now! The gallery itself has a warehouse feel -- it reminded me of the Brooklyn art shows I've been to, and it's cool to see that kind of industrial, contemporary art space outside of nyc. Tickets were around $25 per person, with discounts for students, children, and seniors. They're open about half the week. This was one of my highlights of things to do downtown.

9/2/26 This is one of the most beautiful displays of glass…read moreblown art that I have ever seen. I was only in town for a little over 2 days and this was a bucket list tourist destination. I bought a combined ticket with the space needle included and it was a great deal. It was a little crowded on my visit but it was remarkably quiet inside as everyone including myself seemed in awe of how intricate and colorful all of the glass sculptures were. It was a special visit that I will never forget.

Beautiful Glass Art and Conveniently Located Next to the Space Needle…read more This is a beautiful museum with a prime location directly adjacent to the Space Needle, making it a very convenient and fast stop to add to your Seattle itinerary. While the glass art is stunning, it is a relatively quick walk through, and I find that I do not spend a lot of time here during my visits (which can be good or bad). Tickets are not cheap, and it is not the most engaging option for younger children. That said, our kids did thoroughly enjoy watching the live glass-blowing demonstration, which was a fantastic highlight -- we ordered a pizza (took about 10 min, which was perfect timing for us to wait for the next demo and grab front row seats) and were able to feed them during the show. Overall, it is a worthwhile, beautiful stop if you are already in the area and looking for a quick dose of local culture, though families with very young children may want to weigh the ticket price against the short visit time or alternative options.

We rented the entire space and had our ceremony / reception upstairs with a cocktail hour downstairs (along with laser tag during the reception) for a wedding of about 200 guests. The event was seamless. We worked with Heli and she is a true professional and absolute delight. She was responsive throughout our planning process and helped us immensely in making our dream wedding a reality. We'd highly recommend, without hesitation, Block 41 to anyone considering! Had a candlelight concert here. Everything was great. I think it was organized by FEVER. I saw…read morecandlelight concert promoted in other states and it was more fancy with dining option (like in Florida on their instagram page) but since ticket was $35 I thought it wouldn't be anything big. Also there wasn't enough candles as it was in other states. The chair we sat was very stiff and it hurt to sit for 1 hour or maybe I am too skinny lol I guess all this imperfections is Fevers fault because Block 41 its just an event space. Good thing that we coud change seat and come closer because a lot of seats were empty. Overall was good to be out. Overall its a good event space with bathrooms and 2nd floor. We had to sit in the masks and it was hot even tho it was evening. I hope next time it will be optional to wear mask or not.

The Fisher Pavilion had booths selling merchandise and food along with an indoor and outdoor stage. It is a nice festival to check out and immerse in Japanese culture. Visited the festival for a couple hours on Saturday and watched OKK Taiko, Rain City Sumo, and Taiko by Chinagu Eisa.
