She takes her time, she talks you through the pain, reminds you to inhale & exhale and I love how we talk about many different things during my appointment to help me forget about the laser pain. Im kind of used to the pain but there are some area that are painful. The aftermath of my hair growth is awesome! I have super corse hair specifically underarms and Brazilian, and with my wedding being in may 2022 in the Dominican I knew I didn't want to worry about shaving every single day. I was told that I really wouldn't see results the first time and happy to say everyone was wrong because even after the first time my shaving time definitely went from every day to every 3 weeks! This is after the first time!!! Like what?! Each time the hair was thinner to the point that even if it grew in you could barely see it! I will say that it is painful however I found a cheap numbing spray on Amazon and that made it so much easier and well beauty is pain am I right?! I've been going Satori since last year and is currently getting 2 areas treated and the progress has been amazing. I believe the pricing is decent. I had spoke to different people who had received the same treatment elsewhere and the price seems to either aligned or even cheaper. I like that they have packages that makes it more affordable. They usually also have sales around black Friday. The office is nice and clean and everyone has been very pleasant thus far. They sends text/email reminder when it's closer to your appointment date. I was about 15-20 mins late to my appointment once because of traffic and road closures and they were very understanding was able to adjust my schedule time when I called. Extremely disappointed in the customer service at this location. Horrible scheduling! I've been going to Satori in NYC for years and have had nothing but positive things to say but I would avoid the Philly location. I was 4 minutes late (mind you they have a 6 minute grace period ) and I was told I was clocked in @ 5 minutes late and they refused to see me, even though I was still within the grace period. The receptionist said they only slot 10 minutes per appointment. It is extremely disappointing because the last past 2 times I was there I was not seen until 15 minutes after my appointment! read more

It all started with a Groupon.. Curious about laser hair, I purchased a package for 6 underarm sessions. Over a year later, I have now done my underarms, upper lip, and Brazilian! Satori is clean, trendy, and super accommodating. The hours are late to fit anyone's schedule. The staff is professional and really care about your safety. I came a few times with my dark, Sicilian hair, and they expressed concern about me being in the sun recently, and taught me that my body actually holds heat when it tans, even if it the sun exposure was days ago. The staff is super knowledgeable and will educate you on how laser hair works, about the hair growth cycle, and how the intensity needs to be increased each session. I have came into contact with multiple technicians who all make me feel comfortable and right at home. I trust only Satori for my hair removal needs! P.S. I came here around the beginning of last year (2018) with a Groupon for armpit hair removal. The shop is well kept and sparkling clean. I love how simple, yet trendy the waiting area is. Akiko was very informative on my hair type and how many treatments I needed. Even though I used a Groupon, there was no judgement sensed and she did not push for other hair removal treatments. Honestly, I was surprised she said I needed 6 treatments, because my mom had laser hair removal at another place and she only needed 3 treatments. But the 6 treatments were worth it since I had thick hair. During my treatments, each armpit only took about 30 seconds to laser! Akiko was always welcoming and made sure I wasn't in pain after a few zaps. Beware of the burning hair smell though, which is wiped off immediately after. She also applies aloe to reduce the burning sensation. Appointments were easy to make at the front desk, and they will always call you ahead of time to confirm your appointment and remind you on how to prepare for your treatment. After my 6 treatments, I was happy because I only needed to shave every 1-2 months. I also used to have dark armpits because I shaved almost every other day, but since I rarely do anymore, the color is back to normal. No scarring from the laser either! But then a couple months later, my skin started to change. Turns out I can no long wear normal deodorant because the chemicals were causing the lymph nodes in my armpits to swell, which was very painful. After months of research and testing different organic deodorants, I now wear magnesium oxide deodorant because it is less absorbent and has less chemicals. I still get dry skin/ rashes when using the Mg deodorant but it is not as painful as using normal deodorant. To manage, I usually make sure my armpits are super clean before I sleep and apply a light moisturizer. Unfortunately, this change has prevented me from getting other laser hair removal on my body, hence why a star was removed. But overall, the business is great and so are the people. read more

I was going to a spa in Rittenhouse for laser hair removal but started looking elsewhere after 4 sessions due to the pain and price. I went to Satori for a single session and i can't recommend it enough - in fact I told my friend and she booked an appointment for the following week. 1. It is very affordable and they offer Groupon discounts 2. It is far less painful than the other location i was visiting - this is because their technology has a built in cooling system where cold air shoots out with the zap. The other place covered the area being treated with a messy cooling gel that didn't do much to control pain 3. Immediate results - with the other place it took about 3 sessions to see a difference ($150 a treatment). I opted for under arms here and in just 7 days, the hair shedded and hasn't grown back. Well...the girls at reception seem nice but you can hear them making jokes about customers, half whispering half loud as if customers don't hear them. One time, I paid for service and didn't leave tips because I didn't have extra money on me and was already by the entrance door when they started talking about me in Spanish. One joked about me and both laughed. I don't speak Spanish but I understand it. I didn't say anything at that moment because I already felt uncomfortable for not leaving tips because the tech was very good. I left her with more tips on my next visit.
