It takes a lot to get a rise out of me the way LaserAway has. I'm normally a very mellow, patient person & the last thing I want to do is come off as a Karen but my experience at LaserAway has been truly all around terrible. From the beginning I never felt heard by my consultant when I told her the reason I was coming to get treatment (medical). I only needed one small area & somehow got upsold to do way more than I had come there for. Every time I declined it was like I was talking to an annoying car salesman that wouldn't accept no for an answer. I finally accepted whatever she was trying to sell me just so I could go on about my day. HUGE MISTAKE. Horrific customer service. I'm left in awe after every interaction that a business could be ran so poorly. Working in patient care myself - you're taught to roll out the red carpet for everyone - ESPECIALLY those that have already made complaints. My appointments have been rescheduled past growth effectiveness last minute, multiple times due to "nurse call outs" or "understaffing". Finally got it resolved & my first appointment back they had me waiting 30 mins past my scheduled time to be seen, so I just walked out. I get it - things happen, but when you've been blatantly disrespected & disappointed by a business on multiple occasions - you reach a breaking point & there's no coming back from that. I've left out other instances that have caused dissatisfaction because I refuse to allow LaserAway to rob me of another second of my life but I'll leave it off on this note: I hope you guys figure something out & fast because if things continue the way they are, good luck staying in business. read more

Disappointed with the inability to cater to those who do not fall under their offered "packages!" I phoned today inquiring about a very simple IPL procedure we have been receiving from another company, but moved recently. Additionally I was looking for bikini & underarms. Didn't even get to that because the Manager was a little too "know it all" for me. I've been in the services business for nearing 25 years- when you don't at least attempt to cater/build custom for clients they go elsewhere and can be incredibly valuable clients. If you're here because you feel skeptical, trust your gut. This place feels very scammy. Like they purposefully tell you you'll need more treatments then you actually need and they mark up the costs per treatment only to sell you a "special discount package" both of which are supposed to make you feel like you're getting a good deal. The sales people are very pushy and outright rude. I called to get a quote for tattoo removal and I was honest about the fact that I was just trying to see if this was the route I was trying to go. For a 1.5" x 1.5" tattoo, I was told I would need 16 treatments, each 8 weeks apart. Treatments are $199 but if I book right now they are $69 each but funny enough on Groupon there's a 3 pack of treatments for $92. What in the actual #%*. So in theory they could be $30 ish but your going rate is $200? That's seems a bit psycho at best because that's there's such an insane range in price for the same exact treatments. I also measured the tattoo and then was told it was quoted for a 2" x 2". Very weird overall. I have to ask several times what the cost per treatment would be. Then when I repeated that I was just shopping around the sales person asked "well is it too expensive for you or what's the issue?" Very aggressive customer "service." Don't let this place take your money or scam you or frankly touch you. If you really comb through these reviews you can smell the fake reviews a mile away. This place is not it. Yall Laseraway Carlsbad has literally saved my skin. When I got my first "big girl" job I wanted to get laser hair removal and they were one of the few places that were able to make it very affordable using the payment plans they offer. Not only has my hair removal been successful, but they have helped me heal my acne scars/achieved the skin I've always wanted. They are clean, professional, and the nurses are fantastic. They get the treatments there, they know the ins and outs, and they have some of the best laser treatments you can find. My clear/brilliant and hydrafacial combo has been my absolute fave, and people complement my skin everywhere I go and I haven't even used my full package yet. And that's the best thing too is that they don't expire, so if you just need a touch up you have that in hand. I just was able to get a botox package with them too now that I know I can fully trust them with my skin. Now some of the small cons are that when you go for your first consultation with the laseraway people via online or on the phone, it can be hard to tell if they are actually from the in-person location you selected, and in my first experience (which was to purchase the laser hair removal) which was a zoom consultation they were not from my location, and they were just from the laseraway company in general, so it felt a little bit "selled on"/not personable. I would say it is way easier and more personable to just get a consult in person at a location instead of online. Whenever I got treatments recommended by the front desk girls/nurses at my actual location that I go to, they are SUPER genuine and really care for your skincare needs. The payment plans are under a "loan" category, so it can feel a little strange but I assure you it's not since you can set it up to where you usually pay waaaaay before any interest accrues on their date they give you. The products are fantastic, my fave is the vitamin C serum and the sheet masks that they have. The brightener cream and regular facial cleanser didn't work well for my skin type/texture, but the microdermabrasion scrub was also a winner/contender in terms of the skincare products they have. They constantly change my appointment time without consent or notification, often less than 24 hours notice, yet they have a cancellation policy that punishes the customer for rescheduling. Always a great experience. I have had several IPL, Clear and Brillant and now a couple Thermage treaments. All staff has always been so helpful and friendly. Went for the first time getting armpits, bikini line and lower legs lasered. Front desk staff was very kind and attentive. I was met by Lauren for my treatment and she was great! She made me comfortable and explained well what I was to expect during my treatment and what to expect afterwards. One result I did experience was a rash of sorts. Bumps slightly larger than bumps from a razor "burn" and it was very itchy. I was let known that this might occur so I wasn't too stressed about it.... I simply took some Benadryl and put some cortisone cream which both gave relief. The rash lasted about 4days. All in all, a good experience. read more

LaserAway Is the gold standard, and this Carlsbad location is the best. I went to one of their botox parties 5 or six years ago And bought a few of their specials For laser hair removal. Since then in the last few months, I have done my lips, which I just love. They look like my lips but just better. I did it in 2 rounds of treatment about 3 weeks apart. Kiku did the first one, and Maddie did the second. I also signed up for a round of IPL Treatments and I've done two so far that are evening out my rosacea and age spots. Predatory business practices: I got a tattoo removal session scheduled since a tattoo artist told me I'd need to get my tattoo lasered to get it covered up, I found another tattoo artist who said he would just fix it for me. LaserAway cancelled immediately. Fast forward to my wife who got some laser hair removal. They said she'd be a good candidate for cold sculpting. It was expensive as heck.. I even told her to go back and try to get a free session because neither of us could tell the difference. She didn't... but a certain lady who is high up here told her she should try 2 more sessions ooh it's only $100 monthly payment no interest (it is for like 6 months). My wife doesn't work so when I got the bill it was for ~$6000. My wife immediately was freaked out and said she had no idea it cost so much. It's ok accidents happen right? We both agreed we should cancel... well I call the office: "You can't cancel", call corporate: "You need to talk to the person who scheduled the appointment", call office to talk to lady who scheduled: she would go out of her way to ghost us... finally got ahold of an empathetic customer service rep who told me I could just cancel the financing for this. Believe me though it freaked us out to think about paying a $6000 bill especially with everything being so expensive these days, paying rent, paying bills, paying for our three kids to be in school, etc. On top of trying to scare us out of cancelling, I'm pretty convinced the lady who got us into this situation would reschedule/cancel appointments constantly after this which seemed like a power move to me... my wife even got some text that said she would have to pay a cancellation fee if she didn't respond?? It was an emotional journey and it feels like they preyed on us not being informed of our consumer rights. Glad I could just cancel the financing instead of having to get a lawyer involved. The unfortunate thing is: maybe we would have paid $6000 for the cold sculpting when we felt comfortable to not when we were forced to. I was absolutely planning to come here for laser hair removal, which I was quoted at $3000... if they didn't pull their sketchy antics on us they would have had our money and we would have recommended LaserAway to others. I can not vouch for them and feel I have I'm still very salty towards this business. To the business owners, I know it might make sense to practice aggressive business practices to help your bottom line... in the short term it's good sure, but in the long run you lose thousands of dollars, existing customers and prospective customers we would have sent your way when you're shady. That $6000 service you tried to sneak us cost you about $10k. I'm going to find somewhere else when I pull the trigger on laser hair removal. One last thing I will say is look how many 1 star reviews this place has (70) now look at the "not recommended" reviews: there are about 359 1 star reviews hence the almost perfect 4.5 review here. I got Cool Sculpting a week ago! This was my first time ever trying LaserAway. I was so nervous but mainly because i had been running around all day as it was the first day of school for my children and I was in a rush. I looked such a hot mess but i was immediately greeted with such great service, smiles and vibes! The beautiful and sweet Sierra checked me in, showed me around the office and we started to chat a bit before my first session. I was then on my way to the room with my clinician Meexia. Meexia, too, was so beautiful and sweet! She had such a gentle and caring touch when setting me up for cool sculpting. She didn't judge my body type or that I looked a hot mess. Meexia made me feel absolutely comfortable and beautiful in my own skin. The Cool sculpting experience was not bad at all. I may just have a high pain tolerance but i enjoyed the experience. After i got done with the session I started chatting with Sierra again and she was letting me know of all the deals the have going on and coming up, asked how everything went for my first time and sent me away with a smile and excited for my next session. My upper flanks and my bra area were pretty fatty so i was sort of skeptical if I would even see any results with the first session but honestly i have! i noticed a bit of slimming in my bra fat area and the upper flanks aren't as big as before the session. It's not a huge difference as I understand that it still takes time to see more of a difference and i have to keep up with my diet and exercise but it's definitely there! My whole experience was great! That's from seeing the ad on instagram, talking to a consultant, talking to a nurse practitioner, booking the appointment and so on down the chain! read more

I am providing this review for Laseraway after having a horrible experience not only with the service I got from the Carlsbad location but after being talked down to by their regional manager Mr. Brian D. ( out of respect I will leave his last name Out) First let's start with the service itself, which was a hydra facial. Let me give you some personal advice if you want to spend $250 on a hydra facial, do it with an aesthetician and not at LaserAway because their "" definition of a well researched procedure is not what you would expect from a hydra facial. There are plenty of other places where you can spend that money and get a great treatment. According to Brian D they will only treat your T-zone because that is their well researched procedure . When I called to express concern after I got my Hydro facial, you would expect that they would call back within 24 hours as stated in there hold messages . Not the case here I waited several days and talked to several people before one person Miss Laney actually took the time to make it right and then I got a hold of Mr. Brian D. Instead of trying to understand what had happened he talked down to me and let me know that in not so many words the fact that he took time after 7 days to listen to me that at least we are giving you $60 bucks for the $200 or so I spent. Quote the "service is already rendered and I should be happy with even the gesture. LaserAway if you all are gonna make it right then make it right, don't talk down and demean your customer's that care to bring up concerns ( BTW everyone; hardly do I write a review )This review is not out of spite but to inform readers what u can expect if u are ever in my shoes. 3/21/2019 I really don't understand why this office cannot keep their appointments. After scheduling an appointment, they ALWAYS ALWAYS call you eventually to ask if you can come in at a different time. They just called me right now to already reschedule my next appointment. Is it because the aestheticians cannot keep their appointments? I don't get it. It's not like a deal breaker but I just don't get it - when the appointment has been agreed upon, why is it a struggle to keep it? 2/21/2019 Pricing is good. We paid for upper lip and underarm. We are still halfway with the process but I decided to review them at this point. The location is nice as they have parking and nice stores and restaurants around. We end up seeing different clinicians and it's only been one time that my lady was not as friendly. The facility is also clean and well decorated. My issue is their scheduling. We wanted to go together but they always end up messing up our appointments. It's either only one of us are listed for that date or our times are way off. I don't know why this happens all the time but I was expecting for things to be more clear cut. Also, after they get our phone numbers, they keep asking the same questions as if there's no record of our file in their systems. We're always having to wait for so long just to find out how many sessions are left, etc. I mean these are trivial but since it happens regularly, it can become annoying.
