I went to laseraway in Novato for laser hair removal in the bikini area and ended up being burned and scarred for life instead. Not only do I still have hair, but they lasered me where I had no hair and burned me instead (see attached pic). I cannot never wear a bathing suit thanks to LaserAway. I don't want anyone else to go through the physical and emotional trauma I have been going through for 2 years now thanks to the burn caused by Laseraway. So when they say it is safe for all skin types please be VERY CAREFUL. They just want your money and do not care about their clients. They took no responsibility for the fact that they injured me physically and emotionally me. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO LASERAWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCARRED FOR LIFE. read more

I had a good experience but without discounts they are way too expensive. I also would have liked if they could do a touch up shave right before the service. It's hard to be thorough in hard to reach areas by yourself. In the past I had gone to another laser hair removal place, and they would make sure all the hair had been properly shaved for you prior to using the laser. read more

On my most recent visit, Abigail was my nurse-- I am a wuss with needles and pain but with her I barely felt anything. She was also very kind and patient. BEWARE!!! These people are shady and unprofessional scam artists. I bought a package of 12 in 2017 and was told that that would definitely be enough to get rid of my tattoos and that I would even have credit left over. It's been five years. I did everything right and did everything they told me to do including waiting longer in between sessions. My sessions are up and they are nowhere near gone. I invested a lot of time and extremely disappointed. When I came in and asked to talk to someone about it (Novato) the woman at the desk was extremely rude and made me feel like it would be a battle to be heard and it has been. (Oh, I should tell you about the time they stuck me in the employee room to wait for some numbing cream to kick in. There was a white board that had some notes obviously from HR. I S#!t you not it said something like this "KEEP TATTOO LAZER ON LOWEST SETTING UNTIL CUSTOMER COMPLAINS OF NO PROGRESS". I'm not even kidding, I wish I took a picture of it.) Also, I'd like to add - I've had my lips done here twice, the first time came out great. The second time almost two years later, they turned out awful. I had duck lips and migration, lumps and they looked different every five minutes, constantly moving. I'm not sure if it had something to do with the fact that they used something other than Juviderm (didn't ask me if this is what I wanted) or if it were the nurses. Each time I've had my lips injected it has been a different nurse, they all have very different techniques and inconsistent aftercare instructions. I also brought this up to the woman at the front desk. She looked like she wanted to jump out of her chair and grab my neck! She told me I couldn't just walk in there and expect to talk to someone and made me come back in 45 minutes? I came back to talk to someone and she convinced me my lips were fine - which they weren't but at that point my head was spinning, I was uncomfortable and wanted to go home. They said there was nothing that they could do for me and that I had to talk to someone on the phone about it.. Still waiting on that phone call.. Hopefully this helps someone. Good morning, I just wanted to reach out and inform you about a visit I had here at your novato location. I had come in and had a consultation with a nurse about how much Botox I would need to get on my forehead to just get away one single line. I was quoted at 75$ and also didn't get approved for any type of payment plan because my credit isn't very well. About a week later I came in with one of my close girlfriends and had another consultation with her, Emmie my friend and I sat there for over an hour and a half with this woman telling us and guiding us on what to get. So we both decided to make appointments that coming up Wednesday because we were having a girls night Thursday night. I haven't been out since January of 2017 because I have a brand new baby girl, and yes I have been having to lug her around while I was trying to make this appointments. I got here on Wednesday and was told that I didn't have an appointment. This is after my friend had confined both of our appointments. And also talked to a lady on the phone that morning. I walked in and was told that only my friend could be taken in and I wasn't able to be helped. I have a baby for crying out loud. Then I am told by a nurse that I can NOt he helped because I am breast feeding. Luckily I did some reasearch and had been saving up breast milk in my freezer so I can supplement for my daughter for a couple of weeks but I was told I need to be confirmed by another nurse Jenny in order to do so. Then Jenny then said no I can NOt be approved. Why wasn't I told this weeks ago at my first consultation. Where I also fed my daughter in front of the ladies as we all chatted in the lounge with other customers about my daughter and how cute she was. My aunt comes here once a week and spends a lot of money here, I also have a lot of friends who come here for their laser hair removal and also Botox. I am not usually the one who will pass on anything negative to any corporations but today I have made an exception and also I have decided to post this on yelp as well. I am going to get anyone I know to post about this terrible service that I've gotten. Also, I wasn't offerent compensation for all the time and gas I spent to go over there. Not to mention the time I spent having to lug my 6 month old daughter around and my two sons as well on my first visit. The other major thing I will complain about was how we were supposed to split a deal that I would get half of the Botox and she get the other half. Then they ended up giving all of the Botox to my friend who did not want that much Botox in her body and neither did I and that's why we split it. Then said oh well they gave it to her and no point in coming back because she took it. Tip of the iceberg was as I walked out, I never got a sorry for the inconvience or even a goodbye have a nice day. Emmie and the lady at the front desk should be terminated for this terrible service and not being knowledgeable for about their products and giving us false information. I want a full refund for this because I spent that money in gas and away from work to be there to end up with NOTHING but a headache. I just had my first laser hair removal treatment ever for Brazilian and underarm. Ashley was helping another customer but still greeted me and said she would be right with me. I was pretty anxious about pain, hearing from other friends how bad it hurt. BUT with the cryotherapy I barely felt a thing. But when I got into the room with my Alexa, who did my laser appointment, I felt more at ease. She made me feel so comfortable and I could tell she was confident in what she was doing as well as knowledgeable. I was partially dreading this, even though I knew the results would be well worth it. But it was seriously next to painless. Only a few spots in the more sensitive bikini areas. I love this Laseraway process. I signed up for 8 treatment for underarms and *ahem* the full enchilada (Brazilian). I just did my 8th treatment and this far it's been great. I did get another 3 treatments bc as they tell you beforehand, it's not a 100 percent reduction. It's more like 70-80 percent. Request Abi- she's the best here. Thank you Abi! From the beginning you work with a clinician to figure out what services would work best for you and your budget. LA takes before and after pictures so you can actually see all the differences the treatment has achieved. And I feel that the way LA provides their services that it's safe and never rushed. And Rachel at the front desk helps me figure out appointments and then calls me when the services I prefer are having special offers. Then there is Karen, my absolute favorite clinician! She is super careful, competent, gentle, honest and an expert in her craft. She also tailors the treatment to what I need......(like if I need a breather, or a count of three....!). Great: The physical process of laser hair removal totally works and is relatively painless - nurses and staff are super pleasant and friendly. Not so great: I am in sales and marketing, so I get that they are pushing big bundle packages to create more reoccurring customers. But I am so tired of not being able to look at a transparent price list and package deals on my own time. I don't need someone selling this to me, I'm going to buy the service no matter what at the amount that is right for me. I have waisted so much time using someone else's 'list price' and calculator math on the phone and in person. Listen laser away - it's a lame old school sales strategy, nobody has time for a consultation or phone call unless you really have a targeted value proposition. You loose trust, credibility, loyalty and diminish word of mouth marketing by being so secretive and difficult about the price options. read more

Beware of this operation. 1) They are unclear and shady about their pricing. I had bought a package for bikini laser hair removal and the cost per service seemed to vary widely. I was told if I bought the package it was cheaper per visit but could never get a clear explanation of the cost. 2) It is next to impossible to schedule an appointment once you buy a package. And then once I did schedule an appointment, they didn't confirm it for the correct dates and times which I had put on my calendar only to discover the day of, that they didn't have it on their schedule. 3) The actual service I received was subpar for other laser hair removal services I'd received from other spas. I honestly could not tell that any hair had been lasered away at all. It felt and looked exactly as it did when I went in. I was first told to wait a few days (usually you can tell immediately but I waited a few days and still no change). I was then told it was a new staff member and I would be credited the service back but I was never told how much I would be credited. 4) At this point, I'd just prefer a refund but I doubt that will happen. Instead I've just been promised "credits" though I haven't been able to get in because it's impossible to make an appointment. And what is my balance anyway, it's impossible to get a straight answer. All in all, I think this place is a scam. read more
