The service room was sparse and clinical unlike my usual place which is a bit warmer with TVs to distract you. The woman who did my service was young and seemed bored. Taking off required language rather than engaging with me like a person whom she wanted to have as a repeat client. At the end, the receptionist asked if I wanted to give a tip which I wasn't used to because my go-to place doesn't accept tips. I also don't understand why they need to scan your driver's license before your appointment. It felt unnecessary, uncomfortable, and somewhat invasive for this type of service business. Speaking of unnecessary and uncomfortable things, can someone please tell me what, "By the grace of God," in all caps, means in the context of aesthetic services? It's written huge on the wall behind the reception area. Overall, the promotional free session did not change my mind and they did not gain a new customer. I prefer my experience and prices where I normally go.

Please keep in mind to get to the entrance it is a fair amount of stairs, I am unsure if there is there an elevator or not. The office doesn't open until 9 but I was booked for 9 am and knew I had to come in a little early to sign the medical documents. The very kind receptionist was happy to see me at 8:50 am and helped me to sign the documents. She kindly brought me water while I waited for the esthetician to be ready. My consultation with the esthetician made me feel cared about as she took in my skin concerns and products I use. Sometimes during this process at other spas, one can feel judgement for their personal routine but she was so kind and genuinely wanted to make sure I had a good routine. She had excellent techniques and my skin was so clean and hydrated. She did give me extractions that I was nervous about but I know I needed it, she had the perfect touch to my skin as she was trying to make it as painless as possible for me. At the end she gave me some recommendations for my future skincare and I hope to see her again soon so she can reassess my skin again. Overall I had a great experience and would love to book again.

An update that they've almost made an apology, but it is a "sorry but we're just going to keep gaslighting you".

I was extremely nervous and terrified to start the tattoo removal process... on a very large piece on my leg. I had done my research on it, and was VERY hesitant... Mostly about the cost.... I went in for a free consult with Vanessa, one of the staff members at Laser Away in Novato... Immediately she made me feel better. She gave me my estimate which made my heart sink to the floor..... It is NOT a cheap process.... I was expecting it to be a lot of money... But not nearly as much as she had told me... However, Vanessa helped me out in whatever way she was able, to help make this work for me. She really showed that she cared, and wanted to help me make this work for me. Which she absolutely did. After I finally got all the financial loans taken care of for this process, (thank goodness I have good credit........) I scheduled my appointment. I made the mistake of researching peoples different experiences with laser treatments... (If you are considering tattoo removal... do not Google image search) I had seen some major blistering, some real horror stories.... some people having blisters the size of golf balls! So naturally, I made myself even more nervous. I have a very high pain tolerance, but golf ball size blisters?!?!?! Was not looking forward to that... But was prepared to handle anything to get this tattoo off my leg. I just had my first appointment several days ago, and I had brought up my concern of the huge blisters to the nurse.. She said she had NEVER seen any patients react that way at Laser Away. She said how every patient can and will react differently.. and blisters are definitely a common side effect... but nothing like that. So again... the staff at Laser Away has never failed to make me feel better about my decision to start this process. The process itself is really not that bad... But I have a high pain tolerance... The nurses could NOT believe that I did not need to take a break during the whole thing.. Especially cause my tattoo is a large one.. I would say that it does hurt more than getting the actual tattoo.. but it is quick... It took about 5-7 minutes to go over the whole thing.. and basically feels like a tiny rubber band snapping repeatedly. The after care hasn't been bad either... The nurse told me to just keep is wrapped up with the ointment they gave me for as long as possible. She said that if blistering does happen... put the ointment on and wrap it up and forget about it... Out of sight out of mind. She said they will go away but they need to on their own. So far I haven't had any blisters, but again, its only been a couple days. It basically just feels like a sunburn. All in all, so far the experience has been a pretty good one... Its going to be a long one for me, probably longer than a year to get this tattoo removed.. but I am excited I started.. and am happy with my decision... And that is mainly thanks to the staff at Laser Away!! I highly recommend this place! read more

I've been coming here for a while but never felt quite compelled to write a review until I worked with a particular nurse, Sheila (sp?) the last two times I came here. The first time that I worked with her I continued to reiterate that I still hadn't seen the type of results I was expecting even after having a couple sessions completed already (something I mentioned to the previous few nurses I treated with, it's someone different almost every time). I was already expecting her to continue to reiterate to me to be patient and complete all of my sessions, but this time was different. Sheila took the time to listen and sympathize to my concerns, she then made a decision with me to titrate the settings to something she believed was more suitable to my skin type. Lo and behold, after that first treatment working with her, I saw immediate results that I had yet to see with my previous treatments in total, and absolutely no unwanted side effects. Not only that, she pays super close attention to details and takes the time to do small things to make the treatment comfortable and effective. She's not too much of a talker, but her work speaks for itself. She periodically will check in with me to see if I'm feeling ok and/or having any pain. She offered me an extra robe when she noticed me catching the shivers. She even took the time to personally shave random stray hairs that I would miss on my legs. Whenever I had a medical question, she always had a well-thought out response and was clear and honest with her answers. And, I appreciate that she was able to recall things we talked about before, which made me feel like she really cared and did not just see me as a number. I'm towards the end of my sessions now and I wish I could have worked with her sooner. Definitely try to book a session or two with her if you get the chance. This totally would've been a 5-star review if they had this sort of consistency with their clinicians, but I just wanted to share my appreciation of a nurse that definitely goes above and beyond. I had a really disappointing experience at LaserAway with an associate named Paola. She called me repeatedly trying to sell me Botox, and when I didn't pick up, she left multiple voicemails. I had an actual appointment scheduled, and she left a message saying I needed to call her back about it -- so naturally I assumed it was to confirm my appointment. When I called back, it turned out to just be another sales pitch for Botox. On the day of my appointment, I got a call just 30 minutes before my scheduled time telling me it was canceled because the nurse wasn't in. This was the second time this happened to me. I had already left for the appointment, so finding out that last minute was frustrating. When I called to express my frustration, Paola was extremely rude and showed zero empathy for why I'd be upset. She was hostile and dismissive -- a completely different tone than the friendly one she uses when she's trying to sell me something. After multiple cancellations and constantly feeling like I was being pressured into upsells rather than actually cared for as a patient, I decided not to go back. I found Bare Skin Marin in Larkspur instead, and their staff is far more experienced and genuinely friendly. If you're looking for a place with reliable scheduling and staff who aren't just chasing a sales quota, I'd steer clear of this location. read more

I have been getting laser treatments at this location since 2016 and I just went to my last appointment. Most of my appointments have been very pleasant. Everyone, from the people at the reception to the nurses are always nice and welcoming. Just a nice service overall. The main reason I'm writing a review is because I had what I consider awesome customer service at the end of my treatment. I had a few sessions left that I had already payed for but I'm moving out of the country so unfortunately I wasn't going to have enough time to finish them. When I asked one of the people at the reception if I could use my left over session for something else or transfer them to a friend, he seemed a little reluctant and doubtful that I was going to be able to. Thankfully, the second time I reached out to them Amy got back to me and told me it was no problem :) I wasn't able to finish all my sessions like planned but I was able to use them for something else on my last day. These are the things that I really appreciate as a customer. I would totally recommend this location and I would go back for more treatments if I was still in the area. read more

all I can say is Laser Away has been so far a amazing experience from the services provided by the highly skilled amazing Nurses to a environment that is fun and relaxing plus all Pink my favorite color. I highly recommend this place it a great start if you thinking about any major cosmetic surgery this is definitely a safer then going under the knife. For myself if anyone going to have an allergic reaction it would be myself! the down time to for has been zero I leave there seeing results that keep getting better and better as time goes by! the only thing I'm BUMMED ABOUT IS I WISH I WOUDL HAVE KNOWN ANOUT THIS SOONER! as far as pricing goes it's extremely reasonable. if you consider how much razor cost u or waxing etc multiply that and the procedures are less then then i would spend on facial products that really work or even razors in a year! plus they have amazing financing to allow any person to let that inner youth out again! I had a disappointing experience at Laser Away Vintage Oaks in Novato, CA. Initially, the consultation with nurse MG (can't post names or they can remove review) was thorough and professional, but things quickly went downhill during my Cool Sculpting Elite session. The treatment room was messy, and the equipment was malfunctioning, leading to an ineffective session. Nurse KG seemed rushed and unsure about whether the procedure was even working. To make matters worse, I received conflicting information from staff about when I could reschedule, and the facility refused to provide clear answers regarding my treatment or a potential refund. The unprofessional manager, RR, acknowledged the poor service but insisted that refunds were against company policy, despite being unable to provide documentation to support this claim. Overall, I felt misled, upsold, and left without confidence in the service or the equipment. I would not recommend this location based on my experience. read more

This place has exceeded any expectations. The staff here are so professional, and I always feel like I'm hanging out with my girlfriends. Joleen helped me get set up for everything! She is beyond awesome! Joleen explained everything, even answered questions I didn't even know I had! She even makes sure I am able to earn points towards more services! I had a disappointing experience at Laser Away Novato, and I feel compelled to warn others. The staff was unprofessional, and the service was far below expectations. I encountered faulty equipment, which not only disrupted the procedure but also raised safety concerns. To make matters worse, the treatment rooms were not properly maintained--cleanliness seemed to be an afterthought. Another serious issue was the lack of proper licensing among staff (be sure your "nurse" is licensed), making me question the legitimacy of the services being offered. Buyer beware: there are no refunds, and the promotions seem misleading--classic bait-and-switch tactics that leave customers frustrated. I've been unsure about getting laser hair removal for some time, trying to convince myself to accept and just be happy with my body hair. I feel smooth comfortable and beautiful! I have been going to laser away for a couple months now I can say is the best investment I made myself. Each session I go to for laser treatment is about 10 minutes the staff is accommodating I walk out smooth and without discomfort. There always great deals and the staff is always reaching out and very supportive and tries to accommodate any situation. I will be going back for life I am a lifer! I have done waxing, had Brazilians and Sphinxs and done threading and I can say by far laser treatments at laser away are the most efficient and the best value. read more

Taya the receptionist is literally the sweetest girl ever, she always calls me to remind me about my Apts and is very accommodating when I can't make my apt due to my hectic work schdule. I am definantely in love with LaserAway. Since I got their sponsored advertising on Instagram I thought that they were outstanding in the market. They offered such a special treatment to me with a huge support explaining all the procedure and the pre and post treatment. I went to the clinic in Novato with Jaclyn and she was so sweet. Great place to get layered! The machine blows cold air on the area and stops irritation before it even begins. I really like that there's no extra piece being added to the machine that has to touch my skin while getting lasered. I've gotten the same services at another boutique and had horrible reactions every time. At the San Francisco location, my girl gives me numbing cream as well as hydrocortisone for after the treatment. She's very cautious to not hurt me! Love it. LaserAway does it all- from tattoo removal to Botox and more! Not only is this a one stop shop for all you're beauty needs, the employees go above and beyond to make their clients happy. Everyone that works at LaserAway is super friendly, takes the time to explain everything and always makes sure that I'm comfortable. Can't say enough about this location!! My nurse was running a little late, definitely understandable during these times. The ladies at the front desk ate very polite, professional and kept me informed about the nurse running behind. Got my entire treatment even though she was behind, you couldn't tell. Abby is definitely professional and didn't feel rushed. I even got a little sunscreen sample on the way out as a gift for them being late. Great touch, now i have to get that sunscreen, I'm hooked on it! Amazing staff!! read more

I am giving a 5-Star review because my nurse Sheila (normally in Walnut Grove, but was at the Novato location) gave me the most detail-oriented laser hair removal session to date (this was my 4th or 5th time). All the gals are great and welcoming and helpful, but my experience yesterday with Sheila was just extra special and I wanted to give a shout out and thank her. I called them, I was in their "clinic" 4 separate times - they visually say this wound. Their response was non- emergent. I am now day 3 in hospital. Day 3 of continuous antibiotics- due to this unsafe - in surgery practices. Lift and 100 cc does not look like this and now with the fluid gone they are sagging and implants infected. They will be removed in a few hours and I will have to start again with my desired lift in a year after reconstruction and recovery. Again no apology's, no email, no calls.
