Botox injection caused eyelid droop, no correction offered I had a Botox appointment at LaserAway and the injector hit a nerve during the procedure. Shortly after, I developed noticeable eyelid drooping (ptosis), which has caused facial asymmetry and functional issues. I returned to the clinic 10 days later seeking help and was told that the issue cannot be reversed or corrected, and that I would need to wait for the Botox to wear off -- up to three months -- while living with a visibly drooping eye. I was told I'd be emailed about prescription eye drops to temporarily lift the eyelid, but no actual corrective treatment was offered. Botox does not simply "wear off" overnight, and being told to wait months with a medically caused facial issue due to injector error is unacceptable. There was no meaningful accountability, no solution, and no reassurance that this would be prevented for other patients. This experience has been distressing and has affected my confidence and daily life. I trusted LaserAway with my face and expected competent medical care. Unfortunately, that standard was not met. The people at this place are super shady. I was quoted just under $10 per unit of Botox as a discount for my first visit, and I prepaid. She said the tattoo was so faded it wouldn't even take all 5 sessions, so she promised I could transfer that $ to another service. I said oh what about the coloring, I heard this orange color can't be removed? She said no problem they have the best and newest lasers. None of this was true. I have a permanent brown splotch where my barely noticeable old tattoo was. I will never wear a bikini again. I will always feel ashamed of my body because of what they did. I had such a good experience here I never write reviews but felt I should for this! This is my third time getting lip filler at laser away, but first time at the Oxnard location which is easily now my favorite. Daniela A did my lips and she made it such an easy and comfortable process she counted down before each injection, measured constantly to ensure symmetry, paused and showed me multiple times to see what I wanted before doing more and really took her time to make sure it was something I was happy with and was specifically what I was looking for. She also was so good about being realistic about what would look good without overfilling and migrating while working with my goals, and very realistic about the risks of lip filler as well as changing the needle so it would stay sharp enough. Both times before at the other locations were good, but this one was amazing and she went above and beyond! They barely swelled or bruised, the photo is from three days after and I love the results of about a half a syringe. Also, I had sprained my ankle an hour before my appointment and both the girl at the front who took me back was just so incredibly kind and got me ice packs for it and found something to wrap it around my ankle with and went so beyond the minimum and Daniella was also so caring about it which feels rare lately for people to be so nice and meant so much. read more

I called about their tattoo removal service and got a free consultation via over the photo right away. They have you send photos via text in which they send the photos over to the "nurse" who determines how many session they think you'll need based on the photos. So, they recommended the package deal of 6 treatments which cost almost $1600. Within a few day from the consultation I had my first appointment. The reason for the three stars is Pros: 1. The woman who talked through the consultation was very very nice and kind. As we're the receptionist at the front desk. Though I will say, there's not a lot of room for them and everyone is kind of talking over each other when making appointments for other clients and whatnot. 2. They always had me in and out of my appointment. They took no more than 15 minutes (including the wait time). 3. The office is very well kept! When you walk in it super clean, minimal, bright and all good vibes. Cons: 1. No more than a week later I saw they were offering a 70% off deal for laser removal. I called and asked if it was possible for them to apply it towards my purchase but they advised since I already purchase the package they were not able to. I think I already had one session done at this point otherwise I would have just cancelled the purchase and turned around and bought a new package. 2. I mentioned before that based on the consultation and photos of my tattoo, 6 sessions were recommended. The tattoo the I got removed was so light I didn't think it would take 6 but I'm not the professional so I took their suggestion. When I asked what would happen if it didn't take all 6 sessions, they never gave me a direct answer. They would beat around the bush and say things like, "oh, well, we would have to talk to our manager" or "we can't really say since we don't know at this point if you will need all six or not." Or "you can always apply the remaining amount to another service we offer." Sure enough, it took 2 sessions. Fortunately, I had only paid half of the $1600 upfront because later on down the road they would not, for the life of me, give a a refund for the remaining amount which was $265. They said because I got such a good deal and purchased a package, they were unable to refund me. I even explained that I have multiple sclerosis so a lot of the services they offered would have to be approved my my neurologist and I wasn't something I was interested in. But NOPE! They didn't care! So I sat on the $265 for a few weeks before I decided to use it for one more tattoo removal session. I didn't really need it but there was nothing else I wanted to use it for! Maybe I could of sold it to someone else! Idk! I just think it's pretty crappy that they said I needed 6 sessions when I didn't even need half that! I highly recommend LaserAway in Oxnard to anyone looking for hair removal. Judy is not only an expert, but she is extremely professional and personable. She sincerely made me feel comfortable, which was a huge accomplishment, given that I'm a mom of 4, in my 40s; and I was super anxious about getting my private areas zapped with lasers. Not because of pain (like I said - 4 kids - none of whom were delivered by the stork) but because typically, no one my age, nor my size, wants to bare their lady bits to a stranger. It was a positive experience, because Judy made it painless for me (physically AND emotionally). She walked me through the process, so I'd know what to expect, and she made time for my questions too. She managed to be simultaneously thorough and quick. Truly grateful for how easy she made it. I had multiple areas (face, underarms, and lower regions) that she took care of for me, and she was clear about after care and patiently explained what to expect in the next couple of days too. Everything top to bottom (pun intended) was frustration free. She told me they could do the laser treatment and then told me about some payment options. She then checked my credit to see if I was approved. After waiting to see if I've been approved she then told me that after further looking into it that she couldn't do my laser treatments - But hey! Ive been approved and have a line of credit with them! What makes me most upset is the way she responded to my reaction. I didn't get mad rather than just really worried and she kind of seemed snide about it and said "hey well you can use it towards other treatments" no apology nothing. She got off the phone with me leaving me upset and worried while she seemed in a great mood- probably because she gets some sort of perk for opening credit accounts. I looked online about this and other people said they have had this happen with this company too so I called them back hoping I could just close the account and let them know that's going on. Though I have never had a service, I paid over $1800 for a service, I paid for this service after I received MULTIPLE calls and texts from their staff to book a service and this was a great deal and they would offer you a refund, if you didn't want to proceed or a doctor says not to perform the procedure. The staff is friendly but if you have any hormonal issues, I don't recommend doing laser. For context I am a Latina with dark and corse hair and according to them I was the perfect candidate for laser. I got free underarm with Brazilian purchase and after 6 sessions- there is absolutely no change to what is what previously. There was one girl who was there who was very sweet but they are relentless sellers, they always try to get you to purchase more and more sessions or do buy any other product line. I would get calls about upgrading and once I would get to my appointment they would try to get me to buy more sessions and it made me super uncomfortable. The sessions SEEMED to work but since they space you out 6 weeks, you don't see regrowth because you are consistently going. After my package was over, and I got past the 6 weeks, my hair went to growing back like normal. To whom it may concern, You responded on Yelp to my review of my experience at your location and with your company, asking me to reach out to you here. Please see my review below. I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the abysmal service and customer support provided by LaserAway. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, characterized by poor communication, unfulfilled promises, and an utter lack of accountability. In 2023, I purchased a treatment package from LaserAway for their Oxnard location. After just a single treatment, I decided to request a refund and did so in person. To my dismay, I was informed that refunds were not possible. Despite this, I persevered, engaging in a relentless series of monthly calls over the past year, all of which yielded no resolution. Finally, on May 3, 2024, I was assured by a so-called "corporate" representative that my refund would be issued promptly. However, this promised refund never materialized by the specified date. Since then, I have made more than five additional calls, each time being assured that the refund would be processed by a certain date. To date, none of these assurances have been fulfilled, and I have yet to receive the refund. The repeated failure to honor commitments and the persistent delays in addressing my refund request highlight a deeply flawed system within LaserAway. Prospective clients should be wary of purchasing any packages from this company and should scrutinize every detail of their contract meticulously. LaserAway's handling of this matter demonstrates a concerning disregard for customer satisfaction and ethical business practices. She tried to sell me on doing other areas of my body, but that was not the reason why purchased this package. This was what prompted my refund and to this day, I have yet to see any refund. I needed tattoo removal. I had never done this before. I did a Covid back tattoo so emotions were high... I bought a package and I was off. I have done 16 sessions so 8 on the upper and 8 on the lower half of my back. It's lighter but still 100% there. The pain is nothing I have ever felt before. Started with the sunset hair removal package (Brazillian & armpits) Half way through my sessions I noticed great results so I also signed up for another package (half legs - knees to ankle). It's been 4 months since my last treatment and the hair has completely grown back in my Brazillian and under arms. Have only just started legs so not commenting on those results yet. The Brazilian and armpit hair has grown back thinner which makes it easier to shave but I still have to shave just as much as I did before. The hair is in no way removed.
