Dr. Bansal and his team are truly phenomenal! I've been wearing glasses and contacts for over 20 years and decided I finally wanted to pursue vision correction surgery. I came in for a consultation and after a thorough eye examination, I was notified that due to my high prescription and thin corneas, I was not eligible for Lasik, SMILE or PRK but was eligible for ICL (Implantable Collamer Lenses). I had not previously heard of ICL so the optometrist explained to me that it is a newer (at least in the U.S.) procedure during which micro incisions are made on the eyes and permanent lenses are inserted. The cost is significantly more than the other types of procedures ($11,800) but I was able to pay for half and then finance the other half through CareCredit. I was able to schedule my procedure for the following month after my initial consultation. Dr. Bansal was very transparent during my pre-op appointment and notified me that due to my high prescription and a genetic deformity in my right eye, I would not be able to get to 20/20 vision but would get close. The procedure itself was a breeze and completely painless. I was given Ativan and numbing eye drops. The longest part was waiting for my eyes to completely dilate in the surgery waiting room. I actually fell asleep in there until I was woken up and notified that it was surgery time. The procedure took less than 3 minutes per eye - it was extremely quick! I did not feel any pain, but did feel a little bit of pressure. The most uncomfortable part was having to stare up at an extremely bright light while Dr. Bansal performed the surgery. As soon as it was over and I was wheeled into the recovery room, my vision was already clear! My contact lens prescription was -9.00 in my left eye and -7.00 in my right, so the fact that I could already see pretty clearly right after surgery was incredible. Recovery has been easy. I did experience some blurriness/cloudiness and fluctuations in my vision for the first couple of days, but my vision gradually became more clear. At my one-week post-op exam, my vision was 20/25 in my left eye and 20/30 in my right which is better than what I thought would be possible. I now wake up in the morning and can immediately see and it feels like a miracle. It's now been two weeks since my procedure and I feel comfortable driving. I am absolutely thrilled by my corrected vision and am very pleased with the results! If you're on the fence about getting vision correction surgery, get it done at LaserVue! I'm now able to see clearly at both mid and far distances, including night time vision, and can see vivid colors that have escaped me for more than 10 years. I recently had eye surgery having Cataracts removed, then having the a Panoptix multifocal lens in my right eye, and a Vivity EDOF lens in my left. I am a commercial driver, driving in both day and night hours and was very concerned over some videos showing patients description of Starbursts, Halos, ect.... My results were great! I see bright clear colors and I can read things I previously needed strong readers to see, and my night and day vision is very clear! Just thought I'd let folks know, it's well worth the price to be able to see like when I was young. And just FYI, I'm over 60. read more

I've been dreading writing the review for some time now because the front desk staff is friendly and made my experience better than my actual Lasik procedure journey.... anyway, here's my experience: I started my Lasik journey in 2018 and in that time I've had to have Lasik surgery re-done in my right eye (after 6 months from my first procedure) to get to 20/20 vision. That's not even my complaint, my complaint is that my left eye is still not at 20/20 vision and I kindly had explained that to the doctor. His response was: "normally people don't complain when it's slightly off..." Well, also normally people don't spend close to $5,000 to have a mediocre Lasik surgery experience. I am disappointed, when I did my research for the best Lasik surgeon in my area (Napa, CA) Dr. Jay Bansal was the top recommendation. If you are assessing the best surgeon for your Lasik procedure, you may want to look elsewhere.... Lastly, this review is not to bash anybody, it's simply to express my experience and hopefully save somebody else from future troubles for a costly and delicate procedure like Lasik. read more

I live out of the area in a rural county so travel for LASIKS is required. I could only afford to do one eye at a time, so I've been thru the eye surgery twice. First my right eye in 2019 with truly amazing results. And now in 2021 I finally saved up the money to do my left eye. All of the staff here are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and kind. I was given Adovan while I waited before going into the laser room. What a great idea! I was relaxed and even napped post procedure which is recommended anyway. These folks have it down. It's streamlined, yet it all felt personal and not rushed. I stayed the night so I could go to my post op in the morning and wow!! The changes were incredible. When another doctor looked at my eye the morning after the surgery she thought maybe she was looking at the wrong eye since she couldn't even see an incision. Jay Bansal is a pro. I'm a surgeon myself and was therefor somewhat nervous about getting surgery on my eyes. I did my research and Dr Bansal was who I chose for my surgery. A lot of other places I contacted and did research on were almost hunting me down to come in, calling my number, texting, etc and couldn't even give a rough estimate on a price which I thought was very unprofessional. Laservue did not hunt me down as if desperately trying to sell me something which I appreciated. The staff was very professional but also personable, you don't feel like you're just and in-and-out patient but they actually care about your goals and take time, unrushed, to answer questions. I've gone there a few times now (consultation, procedure, follow ups). They're always on time and very friendly. Dr Bansal himself was excellent. We discussed my concerns and again, it was not a rushed consultation, but I had time to ask everything important to me. He is very professional and cares a lot about you as a patient I felt (and trust me I can see through a fake act). He examined my eyes and recommended lasik. The procedure itself only took a few minutes and afterwards I never had any pain. The dry eyes that some people have for a while before improving and going away never happened to me either. He told me based on the exam prior to the procedure that I was a very good candidate and I feel like this held true. Had a great experience here! I wanted to get LASIK done for a while now because my eyes could not longer tolerate contact lenses and I hated wearing glasses 24/7. My eye doctor told me my prescription hadn't changed in years and so I made an appointment for a consultation. There are two eye doctors at this practice. One of them screens clients who would be candidates for the procedure while the other is the eye surgeon who performs the procedure. The first eye doctor verified my prescription, answered all my questions and then I answered all of hers and she said I was great candidate for this and that it would provide a long term solution for my vision. Several things she noted: they recommend you have the day of the procedure off but you can go back to work the next day, you must have transportation the day of the procedure, you can't drive yourself, and to keep your eyes well lubricated with eye drops for the first week post-op. Afterwards I spoke with the nurse who gave me information on pricing and availability. The procedure itself has two parts and only takes about five minutes and doesn't require anesthesia but the cost includes 6 months worth of followup appointments from two eye doctors to make sure everything was successful. I gave them a $300 deposit and scheduled the procedure for two weeks out. The day of the procedure I gave them my signed consent. The nurse offered me some Ativan for anxiety and suggested that I take a nap afterwards to help my eyes heal. The surgeon verified the correction needed and reiterated before beginning the cardinal rules: don't move your eye during the procedure and don't touch your eyes after the procedure. The first part of the procedure the surgeon put something in my eye so I couldn't blink and then the first laser did something to my eye that completely blurred it so I couldn't see anything. The surgeon said everything went great and that was the hard part. I felt no discomfort but it was interesting feeling the laser blast my eye. The second part I had to walk to a different machine which was tricky since I could hardly see anything now. The second part the surgeon put the same device in my eye to keep it from blinking and lowered the machine onto my eye and my vision quickly came back. In the immediate post-op your vision is 20/20 but you have an "underwater" feeling. I felt no discomfort from the second machine either but it does make a noise that resembles sparks from welding. I got a little anxious when I heard that sound on my eye and I moved a little. Everything was fine afterwards but know that sound is coming when its time for the second part it's nothing to worry about. Afterwards my wife drove me home and I continued the two prescription eye drops that were started that same day before the procedure. My eyes are a little dryer now and I use lubricating eye drops about twice a day. It was a good experience and I would recommend it to anyone. read more

I have been on the fence about lasik surgery for about 2 years now. I finally got the courage to go and just inquire about it. I had a raindrop inlay put in my eye by Jay Bansal one month after I got it the manufacturer went out of business and 10 months after that there was a recall on the product it "may cost corneal hazing" I was never notified that there was a recall on the raindrop I had to find out for myself Dr. Bansill offered me a refund of left less than half of what I paid for it and he would only take it out of my eye if I signed a waiver releasing him of any liability for what could happen to my eye while he's taking it out Not good I recommend not doing business with him read more
