I'm 65. I've been to many eye doctors over the last 50 years. I was impressed with Dr. Hall's professionalism and quality of care. He had very good knowledge and ability to evaluate my eyes. He spent a good amount of time discussing my prescription with me. Also, he's got the latest in computerized optical diagnostic tools. If you want scans and photos using all of these newer devices, it costs an extra $80 to get all the tests done (beyond the normal exam price) so a complete exam with scans and photos is around $160 but this is a bargain. I think he's an excellent doctor and a very good deal, pricewise. Also, you can usually schedule an appointment within a few days, you don't have to wait weeks. read more

He is very knowledgeable and has up to date, high quality equipment. I had heard that he was particularly good with older people - and he's been great for me. Found a problem on it's way to developing, so got it taken care of before it became an issue. He will refer you out if he suspects something is going on that is beyond his scope. read more

I've been going to Dr Bradley for quite a few years. It is a small enterprise inside our Costco here in Santa Rosa Ca. About five plus years ago I fell and hit my head on a concrete floor After the fall I couldn't see clearly. I saw Med Drs who's specialty I was "All things Optical" No one could help. Finally the light went on and I went to see Dr Hall He examined my eyes as usual. He noted from my info that I'd had an accident and couldn't pull my eyes into focus. While I looked through his eye testing gizmo and magic happened. Instead of seeing double I could just one "p". Magic? of course not but experience and knowledge . This is the eye doctor inside Costco. Small space but efficient I did have to leave my mobility scooter just outside the door as it was too small to accommodate it; the office staff were very helpful and one of them was very attentive and helped me get around without my scooter. The doctor I saw was a lady she was nice and made me feel comfortable I felt I got my money worth and that I was a human being to them Definitely recommend They are independent from the Costco optical center read more

This a re-review. Last year my Autistic daughter had an appointment with Dr. Nazari who is also in Dr. Hall's office. Our experience with the Dr was wonderful, however, there was a young girl in the front office who was extremely rude and disrespectful to my daughter who was trying very hard to hold still while her eyes were being measured. After sharing our experience with Dr. Hall, it seems he made a staffing change, and the girl is no longer there. This year, we had another appointment and it was the best experience my daughter has ever had at a medical appointment. The guy that measured her eyes was so incredibly sweet and understanding. The entire experience was better then we coukd have asked for. The girl answering the phone was so nice, and Dr. Nazari was again absolutely wonderful. The entire staff was phenomenal and very patient with my daughter. They were friendly, professional and went above and beyond to make sure her experience was positive. read more

I went to see Dr. Hall for a contact lens prescription. A previous optometrist I had seen elsewhere wanted to charge me $150 for a contact lens fitting because I had already used my vision deductible that year on new eye glasses. I called Dr. Hall's office and was informed that the same fitting would cost $99. It was very easy to make an appointment and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. I was pleased with Dr. Hall's service. He was professional and personable. He answered all my questions about contact lenses and even gave me two different brands to take home with me to try. I would definitely recommend him to any of my family or friends. read more

I took my children for an eye exam, was never told that I would have to pay full price. After the my children exam the receptionist told me it was $228 and that I would have to bill my own insurance. I have never in my life had this happen. I think they need to say over the phone that visit are paid and full and that they dont bill insurances. I will never go back because its pointless to have insurance and not have an optometry office know how to bill. I will never go there, Costco optometry in Rohnert Park knows what they are doing. The optometrist theres is awesome but sorry I cant go someone where they don't communicate about not taking insurance prior to your visit or starting your visit. read more

Dr. Hall is the best optometrist I've ever been to. He legitimately cares about his patients eyesight and is very thorough, caring, and does a great job! Even though his appointments (like all eye doctors) are packed back to back, he still makes the short visit very personal and addresses every concern possible. As long as I am in the area I will visit him for all of my eye needs. Bonus tip: Even though his office is located inside Costco, you need not be a Costco member to use his services. Just tell the front door person that you are going to the optometrist and they will let you right in. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Hall on 9/21/2021. Dr. Hall insisted that he needed to dilate my eyes because my eyes are "abnormally round". I did not request this service, but did not object, trusting his authority. Dr. Hall dialated my eyes without explaining how I would be impacted, asking if I had someone to drive me home, or if I had somewhere I needed to be after my appointment. He proceeded to dilate my eyes and then asked if I had sunglasses. I did not so he made sure I had a paper pair as he said it would be very bright outside. At the end of my appointment he expressed concern that I may have glaucoma and insisted I return for a follow-up appointment. (I have no family history of glaucoma and have never had an eye doctor propose this previously). I left the building and my vision was very very blurry, and afraid that something was wrong with me. I walked outside unable to see (even with the paper sunglasses) and proceeded to sit in my car for two hours until I needed to pick up my daughter from preschool. Still, my vision felt more blurry than I was comfortable to drive, but had no choice. It was an incredibly frightening experience. Yesterday (09/31/21), Dr. Hall's receptionist contacted me to confirm a follow-up appointment. When I stated that I would not be returning due to negligence, Dr. Hall contacted me by voicemail (which I have as an audio file and am able to send upon request). In the voicemail, he started it by laughing and insisted that the reason my eyes were blurry was because of my vision...blaming me. He said it was very abnormal and he reminded me that he gave me paper glasses (which did not help at all). I've researched this and have found that after dilating one's eyes, it's normal for vision to be blurry for up to 4 hours. He never gave me any level of informed consent around the impact and never acknowledged negligence around this. read more

Sorry I tried to save money by going here. I the first prescription I got, the near vision was off. I went back with my glasses (ordered from Zenni...love them) and a copy of an old prescription. The optometrist (not Dr. Hall, an employee--she doesn't have a card, so I don't know her name) first started to explain that I ordered glasses online and they were probably no good. I showed her the previous prescription; she started back-pedaling and had the optical shop check my new glasses. They confirmed that they were made correctly; she said that wherever I'd had them done, they did a good job. So she started re-doing my near vision prescription. Instead of just re-doing the reading portion, she made changes to the entire prescription, leaving me feeling completely uncertain (I felt like the far vision part she gave me was spot-on). Both times I had to have her go over the written prescription with me verbally because of scribbled out sections and poor handwriting. Thankfully Zenni let me reorder glasses (LOVE THEM). Sadlly, something still feels off. I keep taking them off to look at things close up. In what seemed like a blatant cover-our-asses move, she insisted on doing a referal back to to Kaiser because I have the same thinning of the retina that every near-sighted person my age has. I knew she was probably wrong when she assured me that my Kaiser health insurance would cover it (I guess I'm a bit skeptical of her prowess as an insurance expert). So $130 bucks later after Kaiser confirms that everything is absolutely normal (and two wasted afternoons of billable time), I'm sitting here with glasses that still don't really work well. For the same money I could have just paid outright for a good exam at the high-end opthamologist I used to go to when I had vision coverage. Complete waste of time and money. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Hall for 10+ years. I live in Fort Bragg and travel to Santa Rosa for my eye appointments. Yes, it would be easier to see a local eye doctor but he has provided excellent service, the price is so reasonable and he is very professional. He has always provided me a very thorough exam for my eye glass matters and contacts. In April of this year, (2012) I decided that I wanted to have Lasik eye surgery. I had seen the signs advertising this at his office so I asked him about it. He explained the procedures. I had surgery in May and i couldn't be happier! The care he and his staff have taken of me before and after my surgery is amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Hall for any eye matters. He is a great doctor! Kim B read more

I've been visiting the same optometrist for the last 25 years without any complaints on my part whatsoever, very happy with their services. However, a move placed them 3 hours away so I thought I'd give Costco a try and ended up with Dr. Hall. Good first visit, seemed personable, quick exam during which I explained what I wanted, i.e. new reading glasses a bit stronger than my present ones. I made it clear that I used my present reading glasses and would use the new ones only for reading, not for distance, not for driving, for nothing else. I wear contacts during the day which serve me fine and only need the reading glasses at night when I take out the contacts and then put on my reading glasses to yes, read. After the exam, I went next door and ordered my new glasses based on the prescription by Dr. Hall. 2 weeks later I received the reading glasses and they looked and felt great. Only one problem, I could not read with them, great distance vision, but to read anything I had to maneuver them around to see anything at all, i.e. useless. I then made another appointment with Dr. Hall to get the glasses corrected. This time, he was much less friendly and very brusk and told me immediately that he did not "make the glasses", he could only prescribe them based on the exam. Yup, very true, but obviously the Costco optometry center which provided me with these glasses had them made according to Dr. Hall's prescription rather than guessing...I pointed out to Dr. Hall that I came to him for the exam and the prescription and expected the right glasses based on them. He kept repeating that he doesn't make the glasses and that he had nothing to do with "the people next door"....very strange. He then gave me another exam, produced another prescription, slightly different than the first one and sent me back to either "the people next door" or to any other place I wished to go. Next door I went and asked for my money back which I got very promptly and efficiently and in a friendly manner. I have no gripe with "the people next door" but only Dr. Hall, who never offered me my money back for the exam or apologized in any way for the glasses which I could not use or took any responsibility whatsoever. I have been seeing Dr. Hall annually (or more) for about 7 years and his optometric exams are thorough and accurate. Detailed answers to questions are the norm, I regularly feel that his exams exceed the thoroughness and detail of any optometrist or opthamologist I have ever been treated by. The receptionist is rude! She should understand that she is the first person that the customer associates with and her attitude determines how much business they get. She didn't greet us, and wasn't very interested in scheduling our appointment. And then when we got there on the day of our appointment, again, no greeting, no smiling, no thank you's. The doctor himself is alright. I feel like he rushes through things and he thought it was necessary to dilate my eyes just so they could make an extra 20 bucks (I'm 25 and perfectly healthy and just needed a stronger prescription for my reading glasses). It was such a horrible experience. On top of that, Costco charges $18 if you bring in your own eyeglasses frame. Wtf! Never going back, I'm sure the receptionist already burned my file since she hates her job and everyone that walks through the door. read more

The first time I saw this doctor, he was wonderful. The second time I saw this doctor, he would not answer direct questions, and he rushed to the point I didn't even have time to blink my eyes. The entire exam must have taken five minutes. Meanwhile, the new receptionist never answers the phone- and admits to the fact! Dr. Hall is a terrific optometrist that is efficient and accurate. He really cares about patients having great vision and has treated my entire family for 10 years. He even helped me through a laser eye surgery several years ago, which was terrific. Thought I'd finally write a review of this horrible place. I literally tell all my friends to stay away. Granted, it is cheap. But save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere. I had to call at least TWELVE TIMES on different days, at different times to get a hold of their rude receptionist. And yes, I did leave a message but they didn't care to get back to me. I've had so many irritating experiences here (since about 2010) that I finally gave up this time and went to a Walmart optometrist. The one in Windsor is much nicer and cares a lot about her patients. The actual doctor here is alright, and saved them from one star, but be prepared to deal with difficult people in that entire office. Let me just finish with one of my most annoying experiences. I had my prescription updated in October. A few months later I walked into Costco to buy some more contacts, as I was about to go on vacation. The counter outside this office said my prescription was expired and therefore couldn't sell me anything. They effectively ruined my vacation because I was stuck wearing glasses. Thanks a lot guys. Get it together. Start answering the phone and update to the 21st century and get a working record system. Thanks for nothing!! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Hall for 2 years now after a decade with my previous optometrist. After my first visit he switched me to a different brand of toric lenses that he stated are the most current technology and will allow my eyes to breath better. I was skeptical at first because I was comfortable with my old lenses and my vision was decent. The new lenses wowed me with how much more comfortable they are and I rarely use eye drops now for dryness and irritation like I had been. I just assumed it was part of getting older and the price you pay for wearing contacts. I was wrong, and wish I had switched sooner. I now bring two of my sons to Dr Hall as well. read more
