I go there for my appointment... and they said that they no longer go out Groupons for repeat costures... IT DOES NOT SAY ON GROUPON. Their excuse is that Groupon don't allow that, which is not true. I have seen plenty Groupons that have that disclaimer. What they are doing here? I can tell u... they have the repeat Groupon customers come in. Tell them that excuse that they do not disclose at all on the Groupon nor on the schedule call. And when u arrive... they double the price. Since you are already there and probably is doing this for a reason of special occasion. Now u are trapped and pay double. I'm not even going to review anything else since they are super scammy and dishonest with their business practice. This is unacceptable! Get out of Groupon or have the disclaimer on the site, and on the calls for appointments. I could tell they deal with this all the time, they have an excuse they keep repeating and clearly works to double their prices once the unknowing customer walks in and now is stuck Now idk how to get my money back and I walked put of this place that instead of honoring the service they charged me for, gave me a headache to get my money back, while they know this is happening because of them and their greed to take the thing off Groupon. They rather add a headache to someone's day than remove a deceiving advertisement from the app and lose exposure. Think about whom u are supporting when u get your services. THEY ARE THIEVES. Don't go here. UPDATE: I got my lashes done by another place. And the Groupon app returned my money as credits... I was gonna delete the app since it enables scammers like these. After 5 additional minutes passes I asked does Safie know I'm here? She asked another lady who works there and she said oh she has someone else in the room. The receptionist asked oh two people came in at the same time. I was just a bit taken back because the communication for a client was non existent - no greeting, no explanation of check in just no acknowledgment. When Safie did come out she said you can go to the room in the back and get undressed again no greeting. The room was on the smaller side and I didn't see any place to hang my clothing. I waited for an additional 5 minutes for Safie to come to the room. When she came the she asked if I was getting a Brazilian which I responded yes, and she said I gave you time to undress and I indicated I couldn't locate a place to hang my clothing. She closed the door and showed me the hook on the back door. I would have never thought to look there as the door was open when I came to the room. Someone should have given me instructions want me to the wrong as it was my first time in that location. Safie, services were good but a bit rough and I've been sugaring for 10 years. I visited this business in its old location and had a better experience before they moved here.

I have loved this salon for years and been a really loyal customer. I'm not sure what's happened…read morerecently but the quality has declined. My lashes don't last more than 3 days. Literally half my lashes fell out less than a week later despite avoiding wetting them unnecessarily and not getting them wet at all within the first 24hrs, per usual. This has now happened at my last few appointments. I'm sad to say I feel like I need to find a new salon. That said everyone is really sweet and I hate to have to give negative feedback.

She was right! also got the numbing spray which I'm sure helped. Sugaring is not as nearly as painful as regular waxing. The wax felt smooth, moisturizing and not hot at all which is a game changer for me. Kim worked so fast and was extremely thorough, I was done in about 10 minutes. Can't wait to go back! Although i got lucky, Glam Body is usually booked weeks out so appointments are really a must! The salon is really beautiful and clean, the staff is really friendly and kind, and the ambiance is very calming. As mentioned this was my first time sugaring so my body afterwards didn't really react well (wouldn't have known without trying it) but during the process I really enjoyed how calming and safe the esthetician was with me given it was my first time. Samran knows how to slay those arches and get you back to think full brows that require no penciling in. She even suggested I use a tiny brush at night with castor oil to make them strong and full. (Either way always call before you purchase Groupon's, sometimes they just post for advertisement). The salon was as busy as you would expect a salon to be on a saturday. However, without an appointment I only waited an hour. David talked me through other options and products to assist me through my "Rome Crisis." The entire Keratin process took about 3 hours, which i expected. The salon was great! Friendly, relaxed and everyone seemed to be a regular customer was treated like family. Ive been to other New York Salons and either everyone is up tight or they treat you like cattle. David and Ella's was amazing!!! So far my hair is pin straight. I am not a fan of the texture and feel but i'll wait until i wash it to really tell. I'll also post after Rome to let everyone know how it went. LAST AND FINAL NOTE: Ella's Salon is actually a salon that was located in an area that was devastated by hurricane Sandy. I was leaving to backpack Europe for two months (no blow dryer, straightener or serious $$ to spend at one of my previous Keratin salons) and stumbled across the Groupon for Ella and David's. I called to see if they had availability and David said to come in that Monday (I found out when I got there he had come in JUST for me that morning.. AWESOME) and he said they would still honor the Groupon deal without me purchasing it (saves them a fee!). (You are also offered a free mani or pedi OR a trim with the deal). David was amazing and I will 100% be back to get the treatment done again. Best part: I have not once touched a straightener since this treatment and use a blow drier occasionally. A little over two months later and my hair is still air drying with just a little bit of wave. I have had the Keratin treatment done 5-6 times before at expensive salons and I would be pulling out my straightener and blow dryer around this time. Not sure if it's what David uses or how he does it.. but I don't see myself needing another treatment for a few months from now. Paid half the price I normally do and looks to be lasting twice as long. Nothing bad to say about this place at all and can't wait to return!
