I've stopped going to business because of racist remarks against myself and my country And will not support them. They are incredibly the cleanest most up kept spa I have ever been too. I called last minute for a full lash set and Mia fit me right in. She was very welcoming and her salon is beautifully clean and decorated with curtains separating each room. I had brought my own pillow because I have restless legs but I was pleasantly surprised that her table is cushioned with an incline for the legs! That made the long process so easy to endure. I'm sure she caught me snoring and when I told her, she just said "we call that purring". I love her and I am going again for my third refill, which is a first for me. Walking in as my first visit, I was warmly greeted. I was excited to see my lash room, a curved bed with comfort leg support, quiet and spa-like music and a water feature in the distance. My technician put a rolled towel under my neck and wrapped my forehand in a wam towel. Clean facilities. Friendly service. I was so relaxed I actually fell asleep. I loved going to lash goddess for a facial wax! Mia was very personable and attentive to my specific requests (i.e. brow shape). Also, the type of wax that used barely hurt compared to other waxed I've received, which is a HUGE plus to me. This was my first time at this salon and I wasn't sure which lash service to book, so Mia took the time to discuss the different options with me and evaluate which style would look best on my natural lashes. She had a feather light touch and the salon was very relaxing. I got a full set of lashes. They began falling off aggressively within the first two days and within 7 days they were almost completely gone. Very unfortunate when I consider how much I paid and the time spent laying there that I can't get back. I think they need better glue maybe? The positives are that my lash technician was friendly and the lashes were really pretty when I left... they just didn't last more than a week. Note: I know how to care for lashes after so that was not a contributing factor. read more

As a recent transplant from California, I got the luck of the draw with Leslie! I've had numerous experiences in salons, spas, etc, so I have a wide body of comparison--Leslie is in an elite group of professional stylists who exhibit the enviable combination of enthusiastic customer service, extraordinary attention to detail, and at once both warm and professional. Had a back facial and brow/lash tint. My back has been fully refreshed, cleaned, scrubbed, examined, purified and even massaged, all in one service. Highly recommend this, but it is still second to the tinting experience. Leslie fussed over the color to make sure it was right, then never left me, while applying the stuff to even my shortest, lightest lashes, seemingly one by one. I went in with about four lashes on each lid and came out with dark fringe! When I've had this done elsewhere they've stuck the paper moons under my eyes, slap-dashed some color on, departed, returned, then rinsed it all with the squeeze of a sponge and sent me out the door. Here, this was a service with a capital S! She even gave me a compact hand fan to dry the involuntarily tears my eyes produced (don't worry, it's worth every stinging second of it!). If you've never dyed your brows, it is one of the most youth inducing treatments around and makes your whole face look better. The cheerful environment at the salon is like being inside a Tiffany's gift box, only in this case, YOU emerge as the polished gem. Thank you, Leslie, I'll be back! (P.S. I first got eyelash extensions from Mia because I was going to a family reunion at a beach and wanted to look good for just that week. I used a groupon and considered it to be a one time thing... Well, a year later, I am still going to Mia every three weeks and absolutely love her AND my lashes. Her studio is warm and comfortable and her skill is terrific. Her personality is awesome. She prides herself in her work, and it shows every time I walk out of there. I have known her to attend several conferences over the last year to expand her knowledge and inventory. She is prompt, skilled and attentive. And, her adorable dog (that is all of 2 pounds soaking wet) is the icing on the cake :) I most highly recommend Bella Mia! read more

I purchased a Groupon for a lash tint and curl for $75. I made the appointment with Mia but when I arrived I learned a person in-training would be doing my lash service. The end result turned out great and I loved my lash curl and tint, which lasted around 6 weeks. The process itself was fine too - the studio is small so you share the room with the other customer (that Mia works on) at the same time (no big deal). The assistant was super nice but just needed a bit more practice (the chemical kept leaking into my eyes & when I sat up at the end, it felt like it poured into my eyes. Thankfully, Mia was just an arm reach away & had me lay down so she could dry them better. The assistant's hands had the faint smell of smoke (I'm sure they were clean, it's just so hard to get that smell off). If this service lasted longer than 6 weeks, or was around $50 vs the $75, I'd definitely do it again. I miss my days of no mascara but still having darkened lashes with constant curl! read more

I first began as a client of Mia's through the purchase of a Groupon. I had never had lashes applied before, but thought "why not?" As a previous reviewer said, Mia does run the business out of her home, so it isn't the "traditional" experience of a spa. But I kind of like that. Mia is just so sweet and real, so attentive to her clients, and very willing to answer any questions. She makes herself available. If you are looking for a spa like atmosphere with a bubbling waterfall, champagne to sip while you are waiting, and people with an air of "aren't I important", then this probably isn't the place for you. If you are looking to have a genuinely caring, competent practitioner to work with, then Mia is your gal. I have been going to her every 3 weeks for about seven months now, and I have been completely satisfied with the results. Having been a client at spas throughout the Omaha area for a variety of services over the years, I am familiar with the available range of services and prices, and my experience has been that what Mia charges is very reasonable. Bottom line--Bella Mia is for people who aren't as concerned about the atmosphere as they are about getting a quality product from a genuinely nice individual. I could not be more pleased with my experience! She does such a quality job and my lashes always last until the 3 week mark for my next fill. I love the music she plays (sort of a jazz feel) and I love the décor. This is not a spa but just a comfortable atmosphere with girly vibe. (Think of Pier 1). And I love love love her 3 legged little dog (toy poodle maybe? definitely an older little dog). She is so calm and sweet with little bows in her hair. I LOVE when the dog occasionally lays with me throughout the exam...very calming. This probably won't happen unless you really bond with the dog first and want her to lay with you. I am pretty sure she does more eyelashes for the money in her fills than other places based on my mom's experience at Fringes. The hardest part is laying still for whole visit. And for the one reviewer who said Mia was rude...I seriously cannot ever in a MILLION years imaging her being rude; she just may be the most kind hearted person I have met. I just cannot fathom what that reviewer is talking about. I would recommend this place because she is such a great quality person who loves what she does and it shows through her work. read more
