Lisa is the absolute best at eyelash extensions. I've been getting eyelash extensions for the past 3 years and I'm very picky about who does my lashes. Lisa is meticulous about placement and has an amazing gentle touch. I can go for a good 3-4 weeks and look great in-between refills. She has the perfect mix of being polite and saying hello but is not too chatty and gets down to business quickly focusing on her art. Cladia is also excellent for eyebrows. But if you come in 2 hours earlier, we'll give it to you. So... if I come in two hours earlier, I get to pay half price?! I get it's some gimmick to get people in at slow times, but it is WAY unclear and the price difference is too much. I'm not going to pay double what the APPOINTMENT BEFORE ME paid, that's really stupid. So I call and ask the owner to call me back, I'm very upset. No call back!!!!! Eye lash extension is my fav addiction for the past 3 years...its great to wake up and not have to worry about defining your eyes with eyeliner or mascara...I love them!!!! The place is beautiful. It is tastefully decorated with 5 comfortable beds and down comforters to keep you cozy while you're getting your lashes done. Being comfortable is key. I wanted to love this place and was so excited to try. However, as sweet as Claudia is.. it was the most pain I have ever been in at a salon. To add to it she completely took 2/3 of my brows off and they are now thin Nike check marks which is sad compared to the full brows/shape I had going in. My boyfriend however, thinks is very funny. Erica Burke was informative, helpful, knowledgable, down to earth, and helpful with all questions I had from basic care afterwards, to changes in my daily makeup regimen post new lashes! I decided to try Lash L'Amour because of all the great comments I read and I was not disappointed. I had my first experience with lash extensions a couple of weeks ago at a different boutique and was totally underwhelmed by the experience. Being Asian, my natural lashes are thin, straight, and downward pointing. The lashes the other salon used were way to thick and heavy for my natural lashes and the end result were longer, straight, downward pointing extensions. It made me feel like there was something constantly in my eyes and I felt like pulling them off and swearing off lash extensions all together. Not the result I was going for. I was a little gun shy, but since I am getting married in a week, I was willing to give it another shot. I found Lash L'Amour and can now say that I'm officially converted! Cynthia was awesome and managed to transform my previous lack luster set to a beautiful, full, natural looking set with her talented hands. The atmosphere was relaxing and I felt instantly comfortable. She started by cleaning my lashes and taping my lower lashes down so she could work. She ended up having to strip off most of my older extensions, which were perfectly fine by me, and then began to apply a more curly and appropriate length. The end result was amazing and it feels completely natural. I'm so thrilled that I will definitely be going back! Even the removal of the tape from my lower eyes were gentle and painless. I got my first dramatic set done by Erin and I was so impressed and happy with the results. I don't have full/long lashes so it was a dramatic change. It took about an hour and I fell asleep for most of it. It was comfortable and the atmosphere was very spa like and relaxing. Erin was very informative and answered the many questions I had. I got so many compliments on them and I don't feel as self conscious without make-up, the long/full lashes make such a big difference. Even some of the lashes fell off which is normal because we our lashes naturally fall off and grows more, I still had a lot still intact before my first re-touch which was 3 weeks after my first visit. I had my first re-touch with Cynthia and she made it even fuller. If you have never had lashes done before and is interested, I would highly recommend it but only by the pros at Lash L'Amour. read more

I used to go to a lash extension place in Boston, but about a year ago I looked for somewhere closer to home and for (perhaps) less money. Lash L'amour in Newton looked very clean and cozy, and the owner (Cynthia) was very courteous over the phone so I decided to try it. Was I happy the first time I used their services! I was asked what kind of look I'd like to have with the lashes, and received exactly what I wanted. I used Lash L'amour for about a year, and maybe once or twice I wasn't sure about the results (lashes too long, etc...) - and Cynthia fixed them. Also, usually there is not too long of a waiting line - if at all, about 10 minutes. It happened that we had to relocate to a different state, and obviously I had to look for another lash place close to where I live now. So the person that helped me was the owner itself from Lash L'amour! She definitely didn't have to do that, but did it out of generosity. Besides good product and prices (they have packages deals), I appreciate good customer service and curtsey, and this place has it. read more

I have received nothing but excellent service and results from all staff at Lash L'Amour. I go to the Newton Centre location which has a very serene environment. Getting my lashes done provides me with a bonus I call "the lash nap." I am relatively new to lash extensions but I am very pleased with the experience and have had no complications from the glue which I hear can happen. There are billing issues with this salon. My credit card was on file due to the cancellation policy. Services for another client were being billed to my account. When I called, they indicated that they would rectify but the credit did not go through. Instead of fixing the mistake for me, I had to rectify the incorrect charges through my bank. Although I have no issues with the services at this salon, the aggravation to correct their billing issues is not worth it for me. read more

LOVE Lash L'Amour. Everyone is so friendly and nice. The technicians are incredibly precise and the experience is really spa-like and relaxing. They also offer mani/pedis during the lash application process, which makes Lash L'Amour a one-stop shop. I easily fell asleep while getting my lashes done, and by the time I woke up, I had a great mani/pedi and nice, natural looking lashes. They also offered me a free back massage (which may have irritated my newly applied lashes). My only gripe is the maintenance. My lashes started falling out a week after the application and started irritating my eyes. I love the way the lashes look and the convenience of Lash L'Amour, but lash applications are just not for me. read more

I made an appointment for a shape and tint. I was running behind due to unforeseen traffic, it happens. I attempted to call the salon twice and I received their voice mailbox both times. I then received a call from the receptionist a minute later and told her I was one minute away, which I was. I was 8 minutes late, walked into the salon and was barely greeted me with a smile. I felt like I was inconveniencing them and it was as if I had missed my entire appointment and they were doing me a huge favor by still taking me. I still had 18 minutes left in my appointment. Debbie told me she could do the shape or the tint but didn't have time for both. I was irritated since I came from Boston but I understand, it was my fault I was running late. I told her I would do the shape. I was done by 4:06 with 9 minutes left in my 30 minute appointment. I'm pretty sure she could have done the tint. I have had the tint done there multiple times and it doesn't not take more than 10 minutes. There was no one there for a 4:15 appointment waiting for her. I went to the front and checked out with the same stone cold faced receptionist who asked how everything was, but it was clear she didn't care either way. I will not return to this location. There are plenty of brow places who I would rather take my business to. read more

I had a great experience here with a beautiful lash lift from Erin! The salon was warm and inviting and clean. Erin did a beautiful job and my lashes are curled and beautiful. I had tried the Newbury Street location first, and the lift didn't take. The salon stood behind their guarantee and redid the lift free of charge. It came out perfect the second time! This is my first review on yelp EVER, as i am usually an understanding person and i don't like to complain. However after seeing all the great reviews on yelp i feel obliged to do so. I have never had eyelash extensions before but often wear strip lashes. I went in for my full set and had a great experience initially, the staff is friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I nearly fell asleep during the procedure! My wave of disappointment came when i looked in the mirror. I told her i wanted them extra long but it looked as though i had nothing on my eyes. (i have round/almond shaped caucasian eyes). I shook it off and figured i will get them filled more at my follow up appointment. I loved how they looked after my follow up however the lashes fell off without my natural lashes a few days later (despite purchasing the 25$ cleanser and taking care of them meticulously) . It has been 2 weeks and i do not have a single lash on my eye. Its as if she didnt use enough adhesive as the lashes are only supposed to fall off with your natural lashes. For 300$ you would expect spectacular results. I have told all of my friends to stay away and am advising you to as well. Im positive that there are cheaper places that do a better job. read more
