Over a year later and I still remember exactly how bad my lash lift experience with Haylee was. I booked her for a pre wedding pampering session after a brutal planning year, and the glowing reviews made me think I'd be in good hands. I wasn't. From the start, the hygiene was questionable. Her phone was sitting on the service bed right next to my head. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was for timing, but it already felt unsanitary. Once the lash solution was on, I had my eyes closed for about 10 minutes. During that entire time, I could hear her behind me scrolling through her phone. The moment the timer was up, she went straight to touching my eye area. No gloves. No sanitizing. I have no idea if the phone was clean, but her hands definitely weren't. The results were just as disappointing. The lashes near the inner corners were completely untouched and still pointing downward. I pointed it out immediately, and she brushed it off as "normal". Then I looked at the side profile and saw the curl wasn't a curl at all. It was basically a sharp 90 degree bend. Nothing like the photos on Yelp that convinced me to book in the first place. What really bothered me wasn't the hundred bucks. It was realizing I walked in with perfectly normal lashes and walked out with a problem I didn't have before, all because I paid someone to make them worse. read more

I've had maybe two expensive facials in my entire life... at least I thought I had. After a ton of research on yelp and through various sites, I decided on Halee based on reviews and prompt availability. Now I finally learned what a real facial is. Let's break this down by stars. Star #1: Scheduling: prompt, clear and concise communication. Was super easy scheduling an appointment. Star #2: Atmosphere. Quaint, light, relaxing and inviting. It's a medium sized room within a facility and everything was cute, sassy, organized, and super clean. Minimalistic and concise equipment that all looked modern and updated. Bed was extremely comfortable, heated, and there was a proper place to put your things. Sudden extreme comfort coming here. Naps are a risk factor. Star #3: flexibility. I didn't know exactly what I needed, but I was able to schedule 3 services: facial (of some kind. I was originally thinking microdermabrasion) lash lift, and teeth whitening (wasn't sure if I needed it). There was no charge in changing the services I ended up receiving. Star #4: knowledgable. Halee impressed me as soon as I arrived. She told me what to expect and when I admit I was naive to facials, skin care etc. she told me she would take a look at my skin and let me know what she thought. The way she explained everything made me realize the magnitude of how much there is to know about products, skin, reactions, results and more. I have never in my life been more fascinated about skin care and the depth of the cosmetology world. It's amazing. Star #5: results. Halee advised me not to do the microdermabrasion facial because my thin skin would react negatively and because my concerns of hyperpigmentation were mild. Instead she gave me a cleansing facial and in the end... my face looked waaaaay more even toned, clear, bright and vibrant. I felt I looked 5 years younger afterwards and my face felt so hydrated and healthy the remainder of the day. Even days later it feels great and I've received many compliments already. In general, people often tell me I look 10 years younger than I am, but now I really feel like I do which has been such a positive lift to my confidence. I literally did not know a facial could do that. Speaking of lifts, the lash lift is something I will 100% continue to do. Instantly larger more open and youthful eyes. I look forward to returning for my next one in a couple of months. As for the teeth whitening, Halee didn't recommend it. She said my teeth are fairly white from the products I use at home already so results from the treatments would probably be minimal. Which leads to the final star.. Star #6: Genuineness. I wish I could give a 6 star rating because Halee truly deserves it. She absolutely wants the best for her clients and will go above and beyond to care for them, advise them, and get to know them. I was (and still am) very naive to skin care, however Halee has helped me so much by pointing me to products (not upselling but actually making recommendations for my type of skin) and I am so appreciative to have an expert in skincare I can turn to. I love the results, I got my teeth whitened and am so happy I did it. The process did take about 1.5 hours but it was very relaxing and it was nice to have some time for myself. It's comfortable and she's very attentive with checking in. The sessions are about 20 min each, and if needed continue with the sessions until you get the desired results. Before I even made an appointment, I shot her an email just to inquire about her services, and she responded so promptly! I shortly made an appointment, and Halee was on top of everything. Ok ...so it's been over three years now that I have been going to Halee! Love this gal and she knows what she is doing and talking about! I know others have their own lash stylist and cheaper but I want quality! I used to get classic extensions but as I got older, my hair and brows and lashes have all thinned. Since classic extensions are a little heavier, she suggested Russian volume extensions as its lighter and more natural looking! She was right and I have done it ever since!! Also, some people that got extensions done, they take two-three hours? Who really wants to spend that much time?? To me, that means they are inexperienced and have to slowly put the lashes on. The glue and experience makes the difference. Halee does it within the hour and it stays. She recommends how to care for it and how it will last long. But if you workout a lot and/or sweat a lot like me, they may last a month or three weeks. I try to wipe the sweat off so the sweat won't break down the glue but that is my fault! I need to workout so I can eat what I want, right?!! ;-) Halee is finally opening her own shop a couple of stores down! Grand opening May 12th! I had my appointment with Flossy earlier today for a lash lift. It was my very first time but I was super excited. I have pretty long eyelashes but my curse is nothing keeps them curled , I've tried EVERYTHING, eyelash curler , heated eyelash curlers, any and every mascara name and brand .... nothing works my eyelashes just never stay curled. Sueanne is a lash queen and will beautify you like it ain't no thang. Halee is amazing!! I'm so glad I found her because she really knows her stuff. My face is extremely sensitive and I suffer from dry skin and break outs all the time. I needed some real TLC on my face and it was Halee to the rescue. She consulted with me on what she was going to work on and was gentle the entire time. After my treatment, I was glowing! You could probably see your own reflection on my skin if you squinted. I was glowing for days and days. She recommends hydrating a lot after any treatment and I noticed that my break outs appeared less noticeable even after one session. So much so, that I had to follow her when she moved from Hayward to San Mateo. She takes the time to tell you the best way to take care of your lashes in conjunction with any issues you are going through with your skin or any other services you might be receiving such as microblading. My previous technician did not do that at all. I get endless compliments on my lashes. There were a few times when I had scheduling conflicts and she accommodated my changes. When Halee had her grand opening for her new shop, she had a raffle drawing. I was the lucky one that won the raffle prize for teeth whitening and I finally put it to use. I had it scheduled so I would do my lash touch-up first. Which I'll add I wanted to do something different with my lashes. I showed Halee a pic and she told me it's a "C" curl and I usually get a "D" curl. So then I just told her to do whatever she wants and I trust her. The results were great and exactly what I wanted! Back to my teeth...It's amazing to see the before and after difference. It was such an easy process and she checked on me from time to time to make sure I was ok and comfortable. She also put lip balm to make sure my lips wouldn't dry out between sessions. It's the little things that count! If you're considering this service, just do it! You won't be disappointed. My husband noticed immediately how white my teeth got and he wants to do it too! Halee also gave me instructions and a care package to help care for my newly whitened teeth. I love that Halee continues to add more services at her shop which makes it so convenient and I'm willing to try it out because I know she wouldn't use a product on her clients or offer a service if she doesn't believe in it.
