The team and Dr.Perry are so patient and kind. He truly cares about his patients so much to even call me after hours to make sure everything went well. (Granted I was passed out and missed his call). They truly made me feel like I was part of their family. I was so hesitant and scared to do this and I've been putting it off for years. It's so crazy to me that I can drive and see street signs now without needing glasses, something I haven't been able to do in the last 10 years. The procedure was quick and painless. I just remember looking for the green lights that they told me to look for. Waking up in the middle of the night when the numbing wore off that hurt really bad, but thanks for the Tylenol PM being offered I fell right back asleep. I woke up the next day feeling much better. It was definitely worth it. They load you up with eye drops, which is extremely helpful because my eyes feel super dry, which is to be expected, but it's not unbearable. This is also something that will go away with time. you will definitely have the urge to rub your eyes, do not do it. Feels like a bunch of dust or sand just went into them, just load them up with more eye drops. If you've made it this far through my review, I noticed some negative reviews prior to my surgery that they were just in it for the money. I would like to personally say I completely disagree, I told Dr.Perry one of my main concerns was the blinding lights at night and he told me the lasik will fix my astigmatism and my ability to see, but if all I want to do is fix the lights that has to do with my pupil size and that he would just stop now and not proceed with the surgery. I truly feel like he gives expert medical advice and for him to even give me the option to not proceed before following through with everything gave me even more reassurance that they weren't just in it for the money. I never write reviews this long but for something so important as eye sight I felt like this was necessary. From start to finish the experience at LasikPlus was efficient and effective! I had been wanting to get LASIK for years and finally decided to take the plunge. The consultation process took about 90 minutes and throughout the process they were able to provide ample information and answer any questions. After scheduling the procedure they communicated the post-op instructions and requirements to prepare for the day of the procedure. The day before the procedure Dr. Perry called to answer any additional questions. The day of the procedure everything went extremely smoothly and they reiterated the post-op instructions and provided everything in a bag making it very effortless. After putting in numbing eye drops the procedure was less than 5 minutes and could barely feel anything. They send you home with some really cool sunglasses and tell you to take a nap for 4 hours. Not going to sugar coat it, the first 2 hours were awful with watering eyes and burning. It started to get better for me after that and at 4 hours it just felt like having some dry contact lenses in. Dr. Perry called that evening right around the 4 hour mark to make sure everything was okay which was a really nice touch. I went the following morning for a post-op appointment. I had to wait quite a while because there were a lot of people. Some people came in after me and were called before me which was a little frustrating. However, I was out within 45 minutes total so can't complain. My vision is even better than when I wore contacts and it's only been one day. Can't recommend getting LASIK more especially from Dr. Perry and the team at LasikPlus! read more

I had a terrible and frightening experience. I had an appointment scheduled for 3:15 PM, but I wasn't seen until 5:10 PM--and there were still 5 more people waiting after me. From the beginning of the surgery, the doctor did not confirm whether my eye was sufficiently numbed before starting the procedure. I felt extreme pain, to the point where I cried out and kept moving. The doctor didn't ask if I was in pain--instead, he simply told me that I was moving too much, causing the eyelid speculum to fall off. He then continued with the surgery while my eye hurt so badly that I couldn't keep it open, and tears kept streaming down. Even after the surgery was over, when the doctor checked my eye, I still couldn't open it--he had to manually pry it open for examination. On my way home, my ears were ringing nonstop, and my eye was in excruciating pain. I felt extremely uncomfortable and heartbroken, wondering why this had to happen to me. I was terrified that I might lose my vision. It wasn't until the next morning that I could finally open my eye and see blurry shapes. I felt so relieved that I wasn't blind. I really hope doctors can pay more attention to their patients' feelings during surgery instead of rushing to finish the procedure. I asked them why I experienced such excruciating pain during the surgery. Their explanation was that "everyone feels things differently--some people feel nothing , while others are more sensitive." But I know with absolute certainty that what I felt wasn't just "discomfort"--it was extreme, unbearable pain. If you asked me to rate the pain on a scale from 1 to 10, I could tell you without hesitation: it was a 10. I hope none of you ever have to go through an experience like mine. If you feel pain during a procedure, tell the doctor stop immediately! read more

Both my Husband and I had lasik here in 2017 and 2018. I did highly recommend Dr. Perry until my Husband needed a revision. I am so Beyond Mad and disappointed with this office now. It took over 9 months to get an appointment to get a revision, which is sold as part of the package when you first get lasik. 9 months! Then we are told that they refuse to call in any medication to help when you get the procedure. They did 100% call it in the first time we both had the surgery. I personally believe that they do not want to do any revisions as they don't make the center any money. With how long it takes to get an appointment and an actually date for the revision, I now firmly believe that they don't want anything to do with you as a patient once you've had the original lasik. Even through our lasik turned out good, I was wouldn't recommend this center and Dr. Perry anyone for the reasons I stated above. The office staff has been rude and they don't return phone calls. They will if you are a new patient but that goes to the fact new patients are paying and existing ones already paid years ago. Go somewhere else where they actually care about you as a patient and person. read more

After wearing glasses since I was a kid and contacts for 10+ years, I finally decided to go through with LASIK on my 32nd birthday. I flew in from CA and had a consultation scheduled for Friday morning. I was anxious and excited to see if I would be a candidate. After about an hour of testing and evaluation, the staff informed me I was a candidate + offered to perform the surgery right away! They even took $200 for same-day surgery Before I could talk myself out of it, I said yes, paid the fees and waited for my turn. Dr. Perry and the staff were professional and knowledgeable, which made the experience less stressful. The procedure was quick, less than 10 minutes, but the first hour post-surgery was awful. My eyes wouldn't stop crying and it felt like I had something in my eyes. It was so uncomfortable. It took me about an hour with my eyes closed to finally fall asleep. After my 4 hour nap, I woke up with virtually no pain. My vision was a little blurry, but using the artificial tear drops every 15 minutes was helpful. I woke up Saturday morning with clear vision + went in for my follow-up visit where everything checked out and I was all good :)  I am so excited to throw away my contacts + donate my glasses!   Thank you Dr. Perry and staff! Avoid this place Had LASIK done at this place in July 2019 . My vision did improve and then is dramatically getting worse. I have horrible side effects that are making my life miserable- severe dry eye, constant redness and intense halos at night to the point that I can't drive. AND THATS PERMANENT! Went to my eye doctor that did an exam , he said that it wasn't done correctly Called their office , was told that they are NOT responsible for any of the side effects and if I needed to treat them I should talk to my eye doctor. They are there only to collect your money and screw up your eyes for life $4K DOWN THE DRAIN AND LIFE LONG SIDE EFFECTS DO YOUR RESEARCH AND AVOID LASIK PLUS AND DR.PERRY! If I could give them zero stars I would. I had a revision done using PRK. Dr Perry told me I was a good candidate and informed me that the healing time would be a little longer. I was OK with this. I do not recommend anybody using this procedure. Over one year ago from this procedure , I am waking up with lesions on the eye that he operated on; they're extremely painful. I called the office. They answered the phone and said, "Call back in 15 minutes; we're closed." The client, customer service, and Dr. patient care is horrendous. I will be writing a board complaint after today. I can't believe they have no compassion or sympathy. Don't let Dr. Gregory Perry fool you, if this is the way he trains his staff to filter out his patients in pain, this is not a place you want to be. Stay far away! Was never greeted when I came in. Staff ignores you until you are called, meaning no eye contact at all. The girl at the end of my appointment made a rude comment about how bad my prescription was while chomping her gum. She was clearly not interested in caring for me. Apparently I'm not a candidate for Lasik, but there was another procedure that I could explore but never offered any information about what that could be??? There has been a lack of interest in care and high interest in turnover from all levels. My original surgery experience two years ago was great, however, my vision has been bothering me again, so I reached out to them in October of 2020. Here we are three months later & I can't even get them to give me an appointment. I have called a dozen times, got an assessment from an optometrist (at their insistence) and they still won't return my call. Went in on Monday for the free consultation. Everyone was very polite and considerate and I was seen in a timely manner. They gave me pricing, and a discount for having vision insurance, and scheduled me for Friday! Dr. Perry called me the night before my appointment and provided his cell number in case I had ANY concerns or questions. I went in for my lasik and was in and out in about an hour. The procedure itself took maybe 12 minutes but they also did a COVID rapid test before the procedure to make sure I wasn't contagious. I thought that was great, honestly! So after the appointment, I went home to sleep it off. Honestly, I was in a LOT of pain. I'm not sure how to describe it. My eyes burned horribly like I had doused them in sunscreen mixed with strong shampoo and wasn't allowed to wash it out. It took about an hour for me to be able to sleep with sleeping medicine and pain medicine. However, once I woke up maybe three hours later, there was no pain! My vision was a little blurry and I started the eye drops they provided which felt so great on my eyes. I ate something and went back to sleep. Dr. Perry called again while I was sleeping and said if I needed anything to call his cell at any time. I woke up Saturday morning with almost clear vision! I went in for my follow up on Saturday afternoon and they said my vision would fluctuate for three or so months before becoming steady but they tested my eyes at 20/15 while I was there! Could not recommend Dr. Perry and his team more! Having clear vision was worth the hour or so of pain and I would happily do it all over again. To further prove my point, my dog got ahold of the prescription eye drops I needed to use for a week so Dr. Perry drove from the Chandler office all the way to the Scottsdale office to meet me with new eye drops this morning. I had myopic lasik eye surgery in 2004. I had better than perfect vision until I reached my late 40's. First, it was reading glasses (Presbyopia) then I graduated to progressive lenses. My distance vision was still very sharp but I chose to use glasses for driving. Astigmatism and greater difficulty at night was the reason. (Carrying around readers and driving glasses was a pain so I opted for progressive lenses) many refer to those as bifocals but I don't care for that term because it sounds like granny glasses. I read a lot and I was tired of being a slave to those annoying "readers" so I searched for a quality lasik surgeon and I found Dr. Gabriel Perry, DO. His qualifications are impressive. He has performed over 25,000 laser vision corrective procedures. My health insurance also offered an additional discount for LasikPlus! During my eye exam, at Lasikplus-Scottsdale, the technician (Elaine) told me about monovision. She had monovision performed in 2007 after lasik surgery done in 1996. She loved it! She was able to read and drive without glasses (except for night driving). I thought it would be weird to have one eye for distance and the other for reading but I was willing to see if I was a candidate. Fortunately, I was so I scheduled the PRK surgery for July 2018. I only needed one eye treated since my other eye was still 20/20 for distance. The surgery was risky due to the thin preoperative cornea and I am also at risk for developing a disorder, ectasia, that would require an additional surgery. I signed a waiver before the surgery and that really made me second-guess my decision. Luckily, everything worked out fine. In fact, my distance improved to 20/15 in my dominant eye. The healing process has been longer than the one month I anticipated but I am very happy with the procedure. It was definitely strange to see differently out of each eye and my brain has had to adjust to it but I have no complaints. I do suffer from dry eyes much more but it is worth it to me to ditch those "readers". I also noticed halos and some night blindness when driving but that could subside in time. It will be 7 weeks tomorrow since my surgery was performed. My vision is improving every day and I look forward to my upcoming checkup to hear what the Doctor has to say. Once my eyes have stabilized, I may get glasses just for occasional night driving. Lasikplus is awesome and I highly recommend them.
