I am a medical professional and this company exhibited dangerous unprofessional behavior. I was not told to have my contacts out for a good time prior to my consultation (so true measurements of cornea could be had). The main information was provided to me in a 15 minute iPad video. They never said anything about leaving my contacts out for any period of time prior to the procedure. When I called them, the gal at the desk said "24 hours." Days later I called again and a male at the desk said "that should have never been suggested, it should be one week." The eyes should be out of contacts for at least two weeks prior to the surgery. This type of switching of information is totally uncalled for and could have led to potential issues for me. If you do not have glasses, order glasses first and do it the right way instead of rushing into a procedure on vital organs. Come on guys. Do better. read more

My best friend was in the market looking to get some new eyes haha or I guess to fix her eyes. She did a lot of research, told me about LasikPlus vision, and asked me to go with her for her consult. The location being in Scottsdale, could've gone one or two ways: great or bad. From what I've witnessed from the check in process to financing and figuring out payment options, the staff was great. Everyone was kind and friendly. My friend decided to get the surgery and they were quick to accommodate as soon as the next day. The day of the surgery, the staff was still very friendly and informative. They gave her everything she needed the day of, including prescription drops. What an experience I've had this far. After visiting a different lasik center before this one and comparing the two I had to chose lasik plus vision center. The customer care and service is always what makes me come back to any business. From walking in to the Technicians/-assistants. I finally took the plunge and decided to get evaluated for Lasik. My trusted optometrist gave me three referrals. I researched the three options and after reading the great reviews for Dr. Perry and his team, I scheduled my consultation with LasikPlus. It was great news to learn I was a candidate, even with with high prescription of -5.75 and -7.50. I scheduled my procedure for three weeks later. I was so nervous! Elaine was wonderful in calming my nerves and even called me a few days after my consultation to see if I had any follow up questions. We chatted and she really put my mind at ease, especially once she mentioned she would be in the procedure room with me! The night before my procedure, Dr. Perry called and asked if I had any questions and said he looked forward to my appointment. I had opted for a late afternoon appointment, since it is advised to take a nap as you soon as you get home (Trust me, TAKE THE NAP). On the day of my procedure, I was as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs! From walking in to walking out, the entire staff was kind and comforting, putting me at ease. I signed my paperwork (which they send home with you on consultation day, so I had basically memorized it), paid my bill, and then was given my "gift bag" of after care instructions and eye drop medications. Next, I went through a few more eye exams to check the health of my eyes pre-procedure and finally, it was the wait for my turn. I observed other patients who were going in and coming out of the procedure room smiling! Once I was in the procedure room, things moved so quickly, I hardly remember. I didn't even have time to be nervous! Dr. Perry quickly examined my eyes and then dispensed the numbing drops. The first machine created the flaps and that was the weirdest part because I could feel some pressure, lost vision for a moment but felt NO pain. For both eyes, it was done within 3 minutes. Dr. Perry talked to me the entire time, counting down how long I needed to focus on the light and encouraging me that I was doing well. Next, I was walked over to the next machine, as my vision was extra blurry. Dr. Perry let me know my right eye would take 22 seconds. Elaine said some patients find it helpful for focus/distraction to count the number of flashes of the green light. I found that to be helpful and I actually counted out loud - haha. Not going to lie, there is a weird smell but I was already anticipating that. We then moved on to my left eye which took 18 seconds. Lastly, a couple drops were placed in my eyes and it was all done! Dr. Perry looked at my eyes through a machine one more time and gave me a super cool pair of sunglasses to keep on for the rest of the day. The surgical staff and I took a selfie and I was done! The not awesome part: I had a 45 minute ride home. Even with the super-stylish sunglasses and my eyes closed, the light was bothersome. I created a tent over my face with papers. My eyes became like water faucets. It didn't really "hurt", as I have heard some people say that they felt burning or stinging. My eyes felt very light sensitive and leaked like crazy. Once home, my wonderful husband walked me into the house and put me into bed and I slept two hours in the sunglasses. Upon waking, no pain, no stinging, nothing!! My vision was cloudy but it was unbelievable how much my vision had improved only 4ish hours post-procedure. Dr. Perry called me that night to check on my recovery and see if I had any questions or concerns. What great service! The next afternoon, I went in for my follow up with Dr. C. She went over the healing process, what to expect, and answered any questions I had about my newly-developing vision. We both seemed very happy how my vision was coming along in only (a little less than) 24 hours. She verified that I had made follow up appointments with my eye doctor for a one week and a four week follow up to continue to monitor my healing and vision progress. She said to feel free to call with any questions. The best part? She gave me an awesome t-shirt! I have to say, this has been an amazing experience with LasikPlus. I really wish I hadn't waited so many years to make this decision! If you're on the fence, just go for a consultation and see how you feel. I get it; I was scared too but I am so glad I did it. It's totally worth it! Like other's have mentioned, the hardest part was not wearing my contacts in preparation for the procedure. I hated glasses but it was worth it to not have to wear my contacts anymore! TL;DR: Get Lasik here. There is a reason this practice is rated so highly. They are wonderful! In the begging the appointment was great but as time went by and more eye test were ran it got weird with their office. They started rushing and one lady got very rude with me. It was upsetting actually. The environment changed suddenly and their professional attitude changed. I don't even think the lady that took me on the last test even did it right. My procedure at LasikPlus yesterday went perfectly well. I am so grateful to Dr. Gabriel Perry who not only did an excellent job yesterday, but who also took the time to call me after my bad experience at a different center to offer guidance and support even though I wasn't his patient at the time. If you or anyone you know is considering laser eye surgery, here is my advice after having had both LASIK and PRK, and having procedures at two different centers: 1. Whatever procedure you choose, you should do it at LasikPlus in North Scottsdale. Dr Perry is the best. 2. I prefer PRK over LASIK because no incision is made into the eye. Yes, it has a longer recovery time, but I think that's worth it. The integrity of your eye will never quite be the same after LASIK, and if you have severe trauma to your eye later in life the flap can cause issues. If you do get PRK, make sure the center you go to removes the top layer with a liquid that dissolves it, rather than an outdated method like a scraper. 3. If you do LASIK, make sure it's all laser LASIK. Sometimes centers will use blades to cut the flap which is an outdated and less accurate method. They will not tell you this directly, and you may not find out until it's too late, so make sure to ask how they cut it. If it's not with a laser, go somewhere else (i.e. see point #1). I've had to wear glasses/contacts ever since I started being unable to read the alarm clock next to my bed in 5th grade. My prescription settled in at a -6 which is strongly nearsighted. After having been absolutely hopeless without glasses/contacts for 25 years, I feel relieved and a strong sense of freedom to once again be able to see on my own. I highly recommend laser eye surgery to anyone who doesn't have perfect 20/20 vision. read more

Dr. Perry is awesome and answered all my inquiries about iLasik as I was very nervous about the procedure. He's really the only one you should care about being good as he's the one doing your surgery! The staff was alright, not as friendly (but not rude) as these posts portrayed them to be. I read on their website that the cost of lasik is dependent on your prescription and eye health, so I was super surprised to be handed a cost estimate about a minute after I walked into their facility. The total price--for those wondering--is about 2,500 per eye and about 100 for meds. So not really based on your prescription as they say. PRK may be different. Prior to the procedure, an older white male re-examined my prescription and I sensed a bit of hostility from him. I perceived him as frustrated (probably because there were lots of patients that day). The surgery itself is like 10 mins and doesn't hurt whatsoever. I did feel Dr. Perry spreading my eye tissue back. It was so weird! There was also a weird smell during the surgery which reminded me of the dentist?? MAKE SURE TO CONCENTRATE ON THE GREEN LASER. I was struggling during my right eye (as it went first) and it resulted in taking more time to stabilize then my left eye, but then again it could been other reasons why my left eye healed faster. My left eye was my weaker eye too, so no clue. When I was done, I actually was seeing blurry and then they're like "okay you're done" and then you gotta walk yourself out. So I was sort of struggling to call my ride, haha. About 30mins post surgery, that's when the burning began. One whole hour of burning eyes until I managed to fall asleep. After that, no pain! About a month post-op, my eye stability is improving and I am definitely see much clearer. During night time, my eyes struggle a bit to adjust, so idk if that's a caveat. Still really satisfied though. read more

I got LASIK the day after my screening appointment because my brother had gotten it two weeks before. Luckily, he filled me in on all the details for what to expect during the procedure itself - and there's a very cool surgical theater where other patients can watch the surgery and know what they're going to go through. (Observers can't actually see the patient, just the equipment, because the patients are obscured by the staff or arms of the machines). After hearing all the things that could go wrong, I was very nervous (even though they are VERY unlikely) but as soon as I met Dr. Perry and his surgery staff I knew I was in good hands as far as the actual surgery being performed. He was very encouraging and calming during the process, and it was great to hear that on that day they were performing the procedure on more than 20 patients! Overall, I'm very glad I got this procedure so far. Also, I just wanted to make a quick shout out to Elaine for being AMAZING. She performed the screening measurements on me and was so fun, and let me be a total nerd about what was happening. She has a huge amount of experience (being an OG LASIK patient herself) and went the extra mile to show me my pictures and explain what the information meant. read more

I went in to get my lasik yesterday and was very nervous considering it was my eyes being worked on... the staff was incredibly calming and reassuring despite my anxiety. I went in and the procedure was fairly fast but not rushed at all. Dr. Perry walked me through the procedure before he did each step which helped ease my anxiety even more, and it was even faster than I thought! Today I went in for my follow up appointment to test my vision (less than 24 hours after the procedure) and found out I now have 20/10 vision (the best vision you can have as a human without using binoculars/magnifying devices), I could not be happier!! I received Waveform Lasik from LasikPlus and Dr. Perry about 7 months ago. Most importantly, my vision is perfect, I don't need glasses, have no issues with dry eyes, halos, or any other side effects, I am thrilled. Getting Lasik was the single best decision I made in 2018. Now as to why I chose LasikPlus, the staff are friendly, the pricing is transparent, and the end results are better than expected. I shopped around when searching for a Lasik provider, and received 3 quotes, unfortunately they were not easy to compare on price. The other two involved some level of haggling, extras such as plugs and warranties were pushed, and eye drops were not included. Overall I believe LasikPlus was likely the middle price of the three, though they were the only ones to present a single all inclusive price. As to staff, everyone at LasikPlus was friendlier, more knowledgeable, and generally seemed to care about patients rather than pure efficiency compared to other locations. My only minor complaint is I wish they better emphasized that after the numbing eye drops wear off that it can be an unpleasant experience for a few hours. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Let me say that Dr. Perry and most of the staff are quite lovely prior to the procedure and during the procedure. The post-operative care is horrific, of course you've already paid $3K+ so there's no longer any incentive for patient satisfaction. The net net is I'm beyond frustrated with my post op care. Literally, feels like a part time job following up with the Scottsdale office to get the MD to respond. I've called countless times over the last month and half to get an eye drop RX resolved the first script my insurance wouldn't cover the next one took weeks for the MD to call in Xiidra. And now several more weeks for me to get them to call in the pre-authorization. Whenever I call I always have to go through a call center I can never speak with an actual person in the office. My guess is bc it's a literally a factory of scheduling pre-op, and doing procedures which leaves zero time for post-op follow up if you're having problems with your vision. The MD that I've been working with is beyond condescending telling me she's so busy, she's had personal family loss etc. every reason for not calling me back-none of which should even be shared with me. I don't care -I run a business and customer service is everything-If I can't get back to someone I delegate that to someone else rather than providing excuses as to why you can't return a customer/patient's call. Here we are several months post-op still having issues with my vision, can't get an RX filled and can't seem to get anyone in the office to return my calls. Took the survey on the website and filled out my info and said I qualified. I came in and went through all the tests but in the end said I wasn't qualified based on the information I filled up on their site. You could have told me that from the start online and before the appointment instead. Drove 45 minutes for my time to be wasted. You said I had a scar in my eye. I went to my eye doctor and he said there was no scar. I'm assuming the doctor didn't want to take any medical risks so you made up some story to turn me away. Also, doctor won't work on one eye at a time. I wanted to do one eye but was told that it is common to do all or nothing. Just be honest upfront. read more

Sadly disappointed in this place. I had PRK in 2008 at the Scottsdale location with Dr. Perry. I was very happy with the results and it comes with a lifetime touch-up plan. Fast forward 15 years, I am in need of a touch up. I tried to schedule an appointment in May 2021 and was told that I needed to get an eye exam first (understood) and make an appointment within 6 months of the exam. I had my exam in August 2021 and submitted the results to LasikPlus. I followed up a few months later about being contacted for an appointment. They told me that they were backed up but not to worry about my exam "expiring". They said to expect to hear from them no later than March 2022. April 2022, still nothing. I called again and they finally put me in the queue to schedule an appointment. Finally, I have an appointment for an evaluation on June 1st. The evaluation cost me $75. I was told that the doctor would review my results and I would hear from them by the next Wednesday if I am a candidate and what the recommended plan would be... so June 8th, I would know. Today is June 29th and I haven't heard a peep from them. I am not begging them to be their patient anymore. Many bad reviews lately. I wonder why this place is going down hill. Based on my recent experience, I would not recommend this location in Scottsdale. read more

I am beyond grateful that I found this place. I first heard an ad on ALT AZ 93.3 FM saying that LasikPlus surgery was $250 per eye. Being a high school teacher with constant astigmatism, I thought, "Why not?" So I scheduled a day during my fall break just to get a quote. I thought that I could save up for it knowing what I was headed in to. When I went into LasikPlus on Monday, they have you fill out your basic information on a computer and then run you through tests that you typically take during an optometry exam to see if you're eligible for Lasik or PKG. Depending on the severity of the prescription, they'll base that on the Lasik you receive. Although my quote was not $250 per eye, it was completely affordable thanks to a discount for having health insurance AND being a teacher. Sincerely, I was entirely grateful. Although there is not a payment program through their office, they do offer Care Credit with a 12-month no interest program. My monthly payment is therefore completely covered by my HSA. I seriously thought that I'd have to say "no" or get berated by my husband not to break the bank since we have a 19-month-old, a mortgage, two cars, and paying off student loans. Not the case. So, after that initial meeting on Monday, I was scheduled for surgery at 3 p.m on Wednesday. I had done some research and read that it is really uncomfortable (maybe even painful) after Lasik, so I opted to get it done as late as possible so I could sleep through the uncomfortable feelings. When I went in at 3 p.m., the staff redid a few basic tests just to double check the prescription. (Which I entirely appreciated.) I waited about 30 minutes after that and then went into surgery. To be honest, the surgery is sort of a surreal process. Dr. Perry greets you before you enter the surgery area, introduces himself, etc. And then we walk into the room full of surgical staff. They ask if they can Facebook live you (which I'll tell you about in a minute). And then, Dr. Perry does the procedure. It takes about 8 minutes all in all. They numb your eyes, enter this plastic thing in your eye to keep you from blinking, place you under the machine, you see blurriness, you're told to focus on a light, you here these beep-beep-beep sounds, and you're done. They cover the other eye and move onto the next one. It's all very anti-climactic and safe. Even though it was blurry and uncomfortable after surgery, I went straight home and took a sleeping pill at 5:30 p.m. and slept until 3 a.m. When I woke up, the pain (more like stinging uncomfortably), was totally gone and I could see!!! I seriously felt like I had a super power. I put in my drops per instructed, went back to bed and woke early the next morning for my follow up appointment at 8 a.m. If I didn't say it before, I'm going to say it again: Perry's staff is incredibly helpful and kind and funny and warm. Seriously, he has a great management team. Well, it turned out that I now have 20/15 vision (what?!?!) and now I just need to do my follow up in a month. I even got a "Guess What I'm Not Wearing?" t-shirt. Love it. I took my 19-month-old daughter to the zoo right after that follow-up appointment, kept my eyes hydrated, took my other eye drops as instructeed, and have been wearing sunglasses outside. I am pumped for this normalcy that I should have done AGES ago. Seriously, I didn't wear glasses at my wedding and couldn't see. (Hate contacts.) Oh, side story: After my Lasik, on the way home, I shared my Facebook Live video of getting Lasik on my FB page. When I awoke at 3 in the morning, I checked my phone and had so many people say how much they want Lasik and how they didn't expect the procedure to be how it is. Sincerely, in a time with Red for Ed and educators getting the short end of the stick, I am recommending Dr. Perry and his team to EVERYONE, especially teachers since he takes care of them. So happy to not have to wear glasses throughout the rest of my 30s. My husband (a fellow astigmatism dude) is next! read more

If I could give 100 stars I would! I am a BIG baby when it comes to pain. I was super scared and anxious doing lasik but Dr. Perry reassured me the whole time. I was still skeptical of the recovery but I followed their instructions. Everyone I spoke to that went in the day I went was feeling back to normal the next day! One of my eyes was bothering me a little more than the other and so I was given a prescription for an additional eye drop to make me even more comfortable through the process. Like I said I'm the biggest baby so my experience was unique but they make sure they take care of EVERYONE. Dr. Perry personally answered me when I was at the pharmacy and needed clarification. Their free consultation had little or no sales pressure but was packed full of information to help you make an informed decision. They have some financing options but I went with using FSA which I would recommend if you have FSA or HSA available to you. The final results? The next day I'm seeing about 20/15 which is amazing. Will NOT do business with them! When I called to make my appointment at this Scottsdale Rd location I asked for a price range for having Lasik done. They quoted me $1,095 to $2395.00 per eye. So I made the appointment hoping it would be in the lower price range. When I got there they asked me to fill out paperwork and said that they would give me a quote when I was finished with it. I asked how they could give me a quote before doing my eye exam and she said price is based on each office and the equipment they use and that the price for this office is $2,395 per eye. I asked why they didn't tell me that when I made the appointment and asked for a quote. She didn't have an answer for that. Very deceptive and dishonest way of doing business. It's been about 3 months since I had my lasik done. It is probably one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. The staff is very welcoming from the minute you walk in until the end of your appointment. Dr.Perry was amazing he calls you the night before and the day after. I did have eyelash extensions at the time and he manage to keep all of mine on during the procedure which was great. My vision was -8.50 in both eyes and now I can see 20/20. I am so thankful I checked this off my list. I would recommend Dr Perry and his team over and over again. I went in for my consults and you do multiple tests and they say if you are a candidate or not. I am an extremely active person and my eye doctor had said I would be a great candidate as I sucked at wearing my glasses and I will say the hardest part of that consult was finding 3 days to go without contacts. The day of my procedure, I went in, they retested my vision, and then I waited. I thought I was ok but every second I got more and more nervous! It's my eyes when they called my name I expressed how nervous I was to Dr Perry and his team. He has a calming voice and said yes lots of people are and made a couple of jokes but honestly everyone who walked in and out seems so calm I don't know but I appreciate him not telling me how weird I am You lay down on the first table and I think he could tell my nerves were getting worse and he asked if I wanted something to hold on too, well since I like to pretend I am an adult and don't need a stuff animal I said no I will be ok. I held my sweatshirt and pictured a sweet soft elephant You then walk over to another table and focus on a green light. He told me what was coming and how long I had left etc. Then when I was done he chatted some, made a few more jokes and called that evening to follow up. Yes Dr Perry called, not someone on his staff but him! I forgot to mention early he himself also called the day before. That night I have to admit I am as so uncomfortable and had a rough night but followed the instructions of drops and thankful for my husband's help. I wasn't expecting that but this morning I woke up and can see. Had my follow up appointment and am 20/15 I told the staff about my night and they were so comforting and shared a few tips and promised the hard part is over. **UPDATE** This morning was my procedure and I am overwhelmed to say the least. Obviously I was nervous but Dr. Perry and his amazing staff made me feel totally at ease. In fact for the short time I was in there we were laughing and joking which made my anxiety melt away. These lovely people gave me the greatest gift and for that I am sooooo thankful. Trusting someone with your eyes and a laser is not the easiest thing to do especially when you hate things near your eyes like contacts, eye drops or the accidental finger graze. I know it's only been two days but I'm so happy and I thank God for blessing me with good doctors and good medical professionals the evaluation went very well and the procedure too. Dr. Perry is a gifted doctor. I see so good and the procedure he did didn't hurt one bit. Let me be honest here, so the first 2hrs for me after the procedure were very uncomfortable because I'm a little light sensitive but once I got in my house I was amazed cause I was able to see my two little girls and their beautiful smiles without glasses or contacts for the first time in years. I honestly recommend this to anyone who is a candidate. Don't be scared because these people are professionals and they are great at what they do. Nothing to fear. This was probably the best visit I have experienced at any doctor's office. Dr. Scott was great to work with. My coworker and I are considering Lasik and decided to make it a little more fun than average and went in at the same time. They were incredibly accommodating and even made the whole visit enjoyable, professional, thorough and an excellent experience all around. I highly recommend this place. I should have done this years ago I had my lasik consultation this past Monday. And I had my lasik yesterday! (Thursday). It is now Friday morning and I can see 20/15! If you're reading this you're probably trying to see what it's like to get lasik and if Dr Perry is a good dr! I was FREAKING out all week. I was a nervous wreck, worried about people messing with my eye, if it would hurt, how long it would take, etc. Let me help you out! I started out with -4.75 prescription. My first experience was with the chandler office. I went there for the consultation. I was there about an hour and everyone was SO nice and kept saying how excited they were for me. They scheduled me for 3 days later. The price was actually less than I was expecting (niiiice). I went into the Scottsdale office day of the procedure trying to remain calm! I was soooo nervous. I saw the same faces that I had seen a few days before, which was a nice touch. A few minutes before the procedure, they told me I might have to get PRK in my right eye since I had so much scarring in there from previous eye infections related to wearing contacts. So.. that freaked me out a little but I was ready. But then, when Dr Perry looked at it right before he got started, he said Lasik would be fine on that eye! (phew). The whole thing took 55 seconds!!!! THAT'S IT! 12 seconds each eye to make the flap (I couldn't feel anything at all!!! and then they walked me over to the other chair and it was 16 seconds in one eye and 15 in the other!! AMAZING! You just stare at a light for literally a few seconds and you're done! The night of, my eyes were pretty watery and hard to open but I just went home and went to sleep. My lovely boyfriend got us ice cream on the way home (which I made a mess all over myself because I kept my eyes shut lol). I slept for 10 hours and woke up the next morning and I COULD SEE!!!! I just had my follow up apt 15 hours later and I have 20/15 vision. AMAZING! I would do it 10000 times again. My eyes feel literally fine right now as if nothing even happened- no light sensitivity, no dry eyes (yet). If I can do it, so can you!! It was NOT scary at all! I was freaking out for no reason. Dr Perry kept joking that it would hurt less than my nose piercing and he was 100% right. 100000/10 recommend getting Lasik!!! I started to tear up at my follow up apt this morning I was so happy. Friendly, fast and great results. I went in for a free consultation and booked my procedure the next day. Dr. Perry was amazing, very personable and professional. I was a bit nervous but he walked me through everything. Post-procedure he called to make sure all was good. I am going to rate LasikPlus 4 stars instead of 5 because they never called to set up my follow-up appointment. I had to call them and when I brought it up to the rep over the phone, there was no apology. At age 10, I started wearing glasses. At age 12, I upgraded to contact lenses. I can't even remember a time when I could open my eyes in the morning and just see. I don't know why I waited over 25 years to simplify my life, but I'm so glad I didn't wait one second longer! The hard part is getting up the courage to finally DO IT, but once you do, LasikPlus makes the whole process pretty much effortless. I scheduled my consultation online and picked the location, day & time that was most convenient. I submitted my forms online, too. The staff at my appointment was very welcoming and everything was well organized and efficient. I was seen quickly and my tech explained each test they administered, asking several times if I had concerns or questions. I thought the appointment would be much more rushed, like cows through an assembly line, but that wasn't the case at all. They really take a lot of time to talk to you and make sure you understand the procedure. After the tests, I met the optometrist, Dr. Rainey, who was very friendly and warm. We went over all the tests and discussed which procedure would best suit my eyes and prescription. He recommended the Wavelight Lasik for my rather strong prescription, a more precise and safer technology and I agreed the benefits outweighed the minor additional cost. Again, I was asked several times if I had questions or concerns. After my consultation, I met with the front desk. Some people would discuss payment options at this point or maybe decide against surgery, but I was very excited to proceed. I made my appointment for surgery the following week and was given instructions and prescriptions. The night prior to surgery, I received a personal call from Dr. Perry, just asking how I was feeling, which I really appreciated. The worst part about the day of surgery was just the wait! I met with an optometrist again, this time Dr. Wayment, to double check test measurements and make sure my eyes looked good. It took a little over an hour from my appointment time to finally meet Dr. Perry for surgery. Let me just say that Dr. Perry is a very intense and direct person, his personality is kind of a contrast to the rest of the office staff. However, I found his manner to be exactly what you want in a doctor - to the point and very confident! The procedure itself was... odd. There was no pain at all, but it is a weird feeling to have unseen circular braces stretching out your eye sockets. Again, not painful, just weird. For me, I felt a lot of anxiety for the duration of the procedure. You don't really know if you're doing it right, so you worry - are my eyes moving, did something just twitch, wait - did I just look away from the green dot???? Arghhh! Dr. Perry assured me several times that I was doing great but I think I still held my breath for the entire thing. Luckily, the entire thing only took like 3 minutes so it's over before you can pass out. (I did take a valium before the procedure and was feeling very calm and loopy prior to lying down, however, once things got started my mind immediately sobered up.) My vision was hazy after the procedure but I immediately saw that my distance vision was greatly improved. My eyes were very watery, itchy and mildly stinging on the drive home. I took a two hour nap, but still had irritation when I woke up. About 4.5 hours after surgery, I noticed my eyes started feeling a lot better. They were no longer watering or red and almost all of the discomfort had subsided. I took all my drops as prescribed and went to bed early with some ugly goggles covering my eyes. The next day, I was able to wake up to a clear view of the morning sky, the trees, and the clouds outside my bedroom window. For a split second, I thought I must have fallen asleep in my contacts. :) I was very pleased with all of the staff at LasikPlus and felt the practice was run professionally and efficiently.The cost I was quoted for my procedure was in line with or slightly more affordable than other providers I researched. I never felt uncomfortable or pressured and I was very comforted by Dr. Perry's wealth of experience, along with the numerous tests that were checked and rechecked prior to surgery. Do It! read more
