What a wonderful dining experience at Laso in American Canyon! We were tired and hungry after showing at the annual Woofstock Dog Show in Vallejo, and nothing that was open was appetizing and the Thai place we wanted to visit was closed for a family event. On a whim, I just decided to check Yelp for what else was open in the area and Laso came up on our recommended. We hadn't had Himalayan food in a hot minute, so we decided to go check them out. Laso is located right by the Fairfield Inn in a run-down parking lot, but the actual restaurant is well-decorated and clean on the inside. We were the only ones there when we arrived, and it was very quiet inside. We were greeted immediately and our server was warm and welcoming. I started off with a mango lassi, and we went with the steamed beef momos as our appetizer. Both my husband and I wanted to try their thali sets for our entrees, so I chose the chicken and my husband chose the beef. The hand-pulled noodle soups did catch my eye, but I wasn't feeling soup that evening, and instead made a mental note to order the noodle soup the next time we went. The beef momos came out super hot, were super juicy, and the accompanying sauces were delicious. Not shown in the photo of the momos were the two other sauces we added and mixed with the main sauce. We have had thali sets before, so this was nothing new, but our server was super nice and would have explained it to us if we had never had had them. We could absolutely tell the care the staff put into their restaurant and dishes. All components of the thali sets came together cohesively, and I really enjoyed the depth of flavor and tenderness of my chicken. The portions were generous, and we were definitely satiated after our meal. It goes without saying that Himalayan food is on the pricier side, but you can really taste the quality of ingredients that the staff at Laso use. Our dinner at Laso was the perfect ending to a busy day, and we would definitely be back if we were in the area again, and didn't want to eat in Vallejo or drive to Napa. I'd recommend Laso for a different (and delicious) dining experience, and I really want to try the hand-pulled noodle soup next time!

Laso is a hidden gem in American Canyon, a great stop for delicious food on your way to or from Napa Valley. The dishes are authentic Nepalese, made fresh to order and are bursting with flavor. My husband and I split the Sel Roti to start and each had our own plate of Chicken Thali. It was deceiving how full we were going to be from those. I loved all of the accompaniments in the set, mixing and matching flavors throughout your meal. I truly enjoyed my experience at Laso and will be adding it to my return list!

Absolutely delicious food and really fantastic service. We've never had these dishes before so the folks there explained it all to us, it was all really great. Vibe inside the restaurant was very chill and relaxing, I joked with the kids that it felt like I was there to get a massage or do yoga. Will definitely be back again!

This place is very unique and well thought of. The owner comes out to speak with you of the food, history, and specifics of the place. The food was delicious and nothing you eat everyday! The taste is familiar of Indian and Chinese cuisine. I felt like family here and the place feels like a home! I would definitely come back with a group of people for the experience!

Came here on a whim and so glad we did!! Staff was very attentive and helpful explaining everything on the menu. We ordered an appetizer & 2 main entrees that were delicious!!!! Portions weren't extra huge like most restaurants, they were perfectly portioned to satisfy yet not overwhelm you. Spices and sauces were perfect as well!! The colors and decor were cheerful & place is clean. Will definitely come here again!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!

Laso 2.0 is a gem in American Canyon! The food is amazing. The atmosphere, quality, and price make it even more special. We took our mom who was a first timer trying Nepalese cuisine. Dawa took the time to go over the menu and options and we were delighted to learn more about Nepalese culture. I highly recommend it. There is a dish for everyone in the family.

Amazing hearty food AND service! Restaurant run by a sweet family. They serve beers that can only be found in Nepal! Highly recommended giving this spot a try!

Visited with two vegan friends and we had an amazing meal. Ming spent a lot of time with us and and explained the menu. No regrets! Everything we had was amazing. Great iced tea too! Lots of meat items of course, if that's your thing. The restaurant is beautiful inside but we took advantage of the beautiful day and ate outside.

We are so lucky to live in such a rich, culturally diverse area; in my own backyard, a little taste of Nepal. Food is a welcoming taste to someone's culture. As such we order a full range of starters and an entree to share family-style. Everything was good. SAMOSA: Deep-fried pastry filled with spiced potatoes and peas. PAKODA: Deep-fried fritters, served with a tangy chutney sauce. RIKI KUR: Traditional Sherpa potato pancakes served with spicy a dipping sauce. THALI SET (Beef): Traditional Nepali meal with steamed rice, lentil soup, side of green veggies, pickle and curd. Food is very reasonably priced and cooked to perfection. Service is helpful and very attentive. Ambiance is table-side service and the perfect spot to enjoy a good meal. Will come back.

I came in around 7pm and was excited to see their new menu! The first thing I noticed was their new set up and thought it seemed really cool and mysterious. I was immediately greeted and handed the menus. I've been to Laso prior to their reinvention and it was fascinating to see how different their new menu is. I love the authenticity of each dish and the descriptions were on point. Our waitress was a delight and carefully explained how traditional and tasty each dish is. After some consideration we went with these items: Mango lassi 4.5/5: It was refreshing and tasty, very different from other places but paired great with the dishes. I liked the creaminess and the mango accents in the drink. It also was a good amount of sweetness and wasn't overpowering like some other places. Samosa 5/5: It was very different from the samosas I've tried in the past but their spices tied together so well. I tasted so many spices in each bite that it was like a party, then paired with the 2 sauces was amazing! I'm a sucker for samosa and thought it had the perfect balance of crunch and flavor. Chicken Momo pan fried 5/5: Last time we tried it steamed and typically I've only tried Momos steamed but pan fried was delicious and not too oily! The pan fried method gave it a nice little crunch and paired with their sauces was a chefs kiss. Chicken Dahli 5/5: This dish was so special and gave you a taste of a little bit of everything. I've never tried anything like this before and it was truly a food tour all on 1 dish. There are multiple flavors and they all come together to compliment each other which I thought was amazing. Overall the service was great, the staff is so attentive, informative, and kind. I loved the little descriptions they gave us on our dishes and their attention to detail was greatly appreciated. There isn't many Nepalese restaurants and their authenticity and love for the cuisine really shows. I'll definitely come back and would recommend this spot to anyone who wants to embark on a wonderful culinary experience!

momo platter: had to take a pic before i ate them all 10/10

Momo Platter: I've been wanting to try this place for a while because i love momos. The platter came with Pork, Chicken, Veggie, and Beef: every single one was a banger (panfried). Every single momo was JUICY, even the veggie momo. And surprisingly they were very filling. They took my order over the phone and were very kind and helpful being a first time customer. When I went to pick up the food, the ambience was lovely and clean and welcoming and cozy, and I can definitely see myself sitting down for a meal in the future. 10/10 will definitely be ordering again.

I loved the cozy feel at LASO. The owner really catered to us and made us feel so welcome. On top of that, the food was delicious! I definitely recommend the pakoda and the beef momos!! They also give different sauces on the side to try. So so good :)

"French fare with a Nepalese twist" is what I read online when looking into Laso. I would agree that this is the best description. The momos were dressed in a tomato sauce with parmesan cheese for example. So many great flavors were developed here. The pakora with mint yogurt were a tied favorite with the roasted brussel sprouts in the shareable menu items. While almost everything was great, I would pass on the half roasted chicken. The skin in the chicken was crispy and flavorful, but the chicken itself was very dry and the vegetable were so soft, they became borderline mush (still good, but too soft for me). Service was excellent, but ambiance could use some improvement. It was a freezing cold night and they had to keep opening the doors because the room became a bit smoky. I think ventilation may have been an issue for the building.

Our wedding dinner on July 24, 2026 was unfortunately a very disappointing experience…read more I believe staff would benefit from additional training on handling large parties, as well as on communicating with guests in a respectful and professional manner. The waitress spoke to my mother in a condescending way, as if she were a child. There was no reason for her to be treated that way, and it made several of our guests uncomfortable. The waiters took our COMPLETE order in the beginning from drinks to dessert. They forgot drinks everywhere, the way they brought the food out completely disorganized, then they had to ask for our dessert AGAIN after the main course. Another major disappointment was the last-minute change to our seating arrangement. This was never discussed with us beforehand, despite us having reserved this event well in advance. We had carefully planned our seating based on the agreed arrangement, so separating the bride and groom from part of our wedding party was both unexpected and upsetting. I can't imagine any couple wanting to be split from their guests during such an important celebration. While the food itself was delicious, much of it arrived cold. The service throughout the evening was disorganized. The male waiter repeatedly forgot items after being asked, and my father-in-law had to request three separate times to have his bottle of wine uncorked. When it was finally opened, the wine was spilled on the table. What saddens me most is that every single person seated at our tables commented on the waitress's passive-aggressive attitude. It wasn't just one person's impression--it was something noticed by all of our guests. It truly breaks my heart that this was our wedding dinner experience. Not only the money that we spent but Your wedding day is something you look forward to and can never relive. While the food was excellent, the service overshadowed the entire evening and left us with memories that should have been joyful but instead were filled with frustration and disappointment. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously so future couples and guests do not have the same experience we did
