Couldn't decide what to eat at pearlridge the other day and finally settled with Lasoon, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. They are Indian food restaurant located on the bottom of downtown across from Hot topic in the spot of the old Burger King. I know they've been here a while but I didn't really give them a try till now, And I must say they're a pretty good hidden gem for Indian food in the Aiea/Pearl City area. They are a small pretty much to go restaurant where you pick and choose what you want for your one or two choice, It can also get things à la carte. I went with the lamb curry with The butter chicken, they also offer sides with every plate which all look pretty delicious, I went with the spicy eggplant which was quite spicy, and the chickpea dal. They were both perfect accoutrements to the currys and the nicely cooked basmati rice. The plate was a pretty decent size for 18 bucks considering the price of Indian food nowadays lol. The service was pretty quick as there was no line at the time and since everything is already pre-made the line goes pretty quick even if there is one. They also have some options that you can choose from the grill which will take an additional amount of time. They are in the spot of the old Burger King so it's a tiny place but the flavors speak for themselves, as with all other Indian restaurants they use a unique amount of spices and you can really tell they know what they're doing here. They do have some daily specials from time to time that look pretty good too, so if you're in the area just give em a go. read more

Lasoon Indian Food was sooo delicious. The guy who helped me was super friendly--he even offered me a sample when I asked what his favorite curry was. I ended up just ordering the chicken curry anyway, and it was honestly amazing... but there was a lot of chicken. I wish there was more curry compared to the meat. He also added a small sample of pork curry with my rice, which was really nice. The mango lassi was sooo good--I finished it so fast. Only thing is the price. I got chicken curry, rice (which I didn't even want but I guess it comes with it), cheese naan, and a mango lassi and it came out to about $30. I was expecting closer to $20. Have been going here for years. Generous portions, flavorful, and fast service. We typically get the standard flare: butter chicken, saag paneer, and samosas. Butter chicken is very tasty. Like scrape the takeout platter to get the very last drops type of tasty! Saag paneer is great too. Both entrees still tasted amazing after overnight refrigeration. I usually don't like leftovers, so this was a pleasant surprise. The samosas are good, but heads up that they have a bit of a spice to them. Trying something new and everything was full of flavor! The Tandoor Mix Grill was excellent! We couldn't believe how tender and juicy the chicken was. The seasoning was tasty and it didn't need extra flavor but it did come with a yummy dipping sauce. They have a wide variety of veggie sides. Everything was fresh and so healthy. You can choose from cabbage to lentils to eggplant to garbanzo beans. A few veggie options are spicy if you like a little kick. We also had their garlic naan and veggie samosa. I was searching for something quick to pick up, after working out at the gym in Pearl Ridge. I decided on Lasoon, after reading a few reviews. The restaurant is a few doors in from the entrance; it appeared well lit and clean. The employee greeted me as I approached and asked if I had been there before. The man explained what the items in the warmer in front of me were; and went over the different sizes of their plates. I decided on the lamb curry and butter chicken, with the butter vegetables and spicy eggplant. I also got a samosa. Everything was good. It wasn't terrible, nor was it the best. Finally got to try out lasoon and I'm so glad I did. It's conveniently located inside Pearlridge mall and many of the items are premade so you can pick and choose what you want really quickly. I got the lamb curry, the Chana masala, and the cabbage. Everything was so flavorful and the lamb was really tender. Came by Lasoon in Aiea around 2:30pm on a Saturday. It wasn't busy at all--we were actually the only couple in the store, so we were excited to have a relaxed meal. We ordered the mango lassi, butter chicken plate with palak paneer and chana masala, garlic naan, a side of saag paneer, and chicken momos. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. We had high expectations after seeing the good reviews, but overall it wasn't as flavorful as other Indian spots we've tried. The chicken was on the dry side, and the garlic naan wasn't very garlicky. We left feeling pretty disappointed. The highlights of the meal were the mango lassi and the chicken momos. Speaking of the momos--since they're made to order, we were told they would take about 7-10 minutes and that they'd be brought out to us. We ended up finishing our entire meal and waited a total of about 30 minutes before having to remind the staff that we were still waiting. Even with all that traffic, the service and quality never slipped. The food is absolutely delicious and leaves you feeling satisfied--not greasy, heavy, or bloated. We ordered food to be delivered. Unfortunately the earliest delivery time is 12:50 pm but they didn't deliver it until after 1 pm. The portion sizes are very generous despite it not appearing to be as the wells are pretty deep. I had the combo plate with butter chicken, lamb masala, spicy eggplant and Chana masala. We got hungry walking around the mall and decided to stop in here and try it. I'm so glad we did. First the people working were incredibly nice. We explained that it was our first time and they explained the flavors to us, let us try things before purchasing and really helped us picked flavors that matched what we liked. My husband and I genuinely loved everything! Each item had its own flavor profile. If it said spicy, it was definitely spicy. All the meats were cooked perfectly and I feel like they gave you the perfect amount of meat to sauce ratio. I personally think the price was worth it. It was recently opened to cater to the locals of their Indian usually different spices (?) cuisine depending on their locale. The saffron rice was alright light and a bit fluffy. I choose palak paneer side dishes server said: string beans chicken, lamb, and chicken Marsala, all were mild in their Indian spices but one of the two items was salty. Lady up front was nice. She made a mistake and gave us an entree for free. They give plenty and, if you don't think it's enough, once you get halfway you start to feel full. They are located on the CPK side of the mall and have a few tables inside to sit and enjoy your meal. Okay, when I say I want spice. I mean that, wholeheartedly. I LOVE spice. Now I may have over done my spice this time and probably should have gotten just one spicy dish instead of two. But, yolo? Food is very affordable and portions are generous here considering they're inside Pearlridge next to Aloha Salad. Lasoon is like Panda Express for Indian cuisine. This place is very clean and staff are friendly and helpful. All of their dishes are in display with labels so you know exactly what you're getting. They have Samosa so I had to get one. It is like Indian, crispy Gau Gee with slight spicy kick to it. I love anything that's in a dumpling form. Also, their Samosa is big as your fist. Biggest dumpling I've encountered. 3.5 stars This is the first Indian food place to open in this area that I'm aware of and they're pretty good, They're located in Pearlridge Center and their prices are similar to a plate lunch in my opinion. It's more of a take out place than a sit down place however they do have some tables and chairs if you would like to dine in. I like that they have a takeout plate type of menu so you can choose a couple of dishes to try. They also have a lot of vegetable options and some spicy options for those who like it hot.
