I will admit that for a few months there were Meal issues, service, however Mosaic has gone to work by bringing us an Incredible Executive Director , Amazing Chef who cooks amazing meals, and New Dinning Manager who trains Servers and they are now properly trained and a wonderful eating expreience. Today is October Fest Bratwurst, pretzels with cheese beer dip and I could go on.... Our recent Chocolate Fest was sooo sooo good. I presonally enjoy taking time for card games as well as paint classes etc etc. etc. The holidays are coming and they provide wonderful dinners... and your family is included as well. My husband and I have some activity about every day. I assure you we looked at every place in Shasta and Tehama County. NOTHING COMPARED TO THE EXCELLENCE they provide to their residence. They're not a large conglomerate, whose business model focuses on revenue, versus quality of care for its residents. Every aspect of her care and her well-being is their concern, from trivial to serious. Their operational standards most certainly meet and/or exceed our expectations. We're most impressed with their culinary program, in that all meals are homemade on-site, and, they grow much of their own produce. They're proud of their garden, and very well should be! I go to a lot of these types of places and they are all the same, so far, from what I have seen…read more I'm usually at these various living facilities anywhere from 3:00 to 5 hours and will I like how small this one is with two small houses for probably no more than a dozen residents if that in each house, there are zero engagement. I've been there from morning to afternoon and afternoon to evening and there's no engagement with the staff and the residents Beyond giving them food and very very occasionally bouncing a ball with them. There's no activities, art projects, exercise, just nothing at all. They have a TV on and that is literally it the entire day. The TV usually is at a volume that no one can even hear which is bizarre, since I have perfect hearing and all of the residents probably have to use hearing aids or can't hear it all. What they usually have on would be suitable for grade school children. It's just really strange. Living facilities are immensely expensive and no insurance covers it, so if I was ever going to put a family member in a place like this, they better be engaging the residents, interacting with them at least on an hourly basis, and doing more than just meal prep and getting them to and from the bathroom or their bedrooms. The staff are nice, though the majority are far too young. They seem to hire 18 to maybe 22-year-olds on average which is just strange. I guess cuz they can get away with paying them less? Not really sure.

In my opinion it takes a special kind of person to be a caregiver and we were blessed to get to know many of them in that time. I can't thank them enough for the compassionate care they gave to her, my sister and myself in her final days, their deep concern went way beyond expectations.

First of all, look at the dates...2012 vs 2017. 2012 is ancient history in today's fast-paced world! Jackson K. is referring to a FORMER administrator, the CURRENT one is as good as it gets! She is young and full of energy and was my brother's (Age 73) main care giver since he entered the facility in August, 2013. Her staff is highly motivated and respect her, because she has "been there and done that." In the words of two different probate investigators for Tehama County: (August 2014) "His room is of ample size, and he has appropriate supplies and assistance available to him." (July 2016) "The facility was observed to be clean, in good repair and regulation compliant. Review of client records showed them to be current and up-to-date." The facility has also received "glowing reviews" from the Far Northern Regional Center. Beyond formal reviews, the current administrator, and her staff, genuinely love and care about my brother and the rest of the "All About Seniors" clients, and truly live up to their name!

Shortly after she moved in she said "I didn't think I would like living here, but I really do". Mind you, she is 58 years old and has been sheltered her entire life. Saying she is happy tells us so much and I assure you if she wasn't we'd know! She has made friends with staff and peers. She has independence and is well supervised and cared for. She loves the individual attention when staff take her for outings. She has her own "apartment" which is a big deal for her. We highly recommend All About Seniors and are very thankful to Audra, Shelley and others for the care and peace of mind.
