So I saw Harvey's on the way up to a friend of mine's and I knew it was going to be about dinner on…read morethe way back so I noted it and went in pretty much right it open. A prompt reading. Very nice and shown to a great table. There wasn't lots of people there at opening but we didn't care. I couldn't resist the deviled eggs which had chili oil and just a little bit of heat. Love the flavor and then we went to the artichoke hearts that were crispy fried on the outside and creamy on the inside. We then ordered up the crispy fried chicken because of the chickpea batter. My buddy could have it being gluten free. I didn't even notice it was gluten free. Deliciously cooked. The last thing we ordered were the shrimp and grits the maple flavor to it was awesome. The shrimp were plump and cooked correctly and the grits would not mushy at all. I was very surprised and loved to finish with this meal The one downside is I did order a martini and it did come about half the size that I was used to but it was only $10 as well. So delicious! Dirty martini just a little small but I didn't want to order two. I think you're going to be quite pleased if you ever are going through turners falls or if you live there and drop on in the whole dinner for the four dishes and two drinks was about $85 with the 20% tip so it's not cheap but the food is good

anyone who is giving a review under 4 stars needs to be sedated because you are simply just crazy…read more let me start with how i found this place on a whim. walked inside, immediately greeted and sat down. the ambiance of the place is just incredibly cozy. the food? holy moly. i got the spicy vegan peanut bowl... ugh i had to stop myself from licking the plate. i will say charging $3 for a piece of cheese is kinda wack, but hey. if that's the only thing i found to complain about then who gives a damn.

Sigh, last visit a couple months ago I went and had their meatloaf. As I'd had it before it was…read moregood as remembered. I swapped the fries for mashed potatoes and gravy which was good too. Had a beer and when the check arrived I was kinda taken back by the check. Let me say right now I missed the fine print where it said there was a 4$ up charge for the small bowl of mashers and a couple of tablespoons of gravy. Really? And then I see an added on fee of 1.86$ as an admin fee? WTF. So I called the waiter over and asked about the charge for mashers and that's when I learned about the 4$ extra for tators. Ok that's on me. But come on! He was indignant about my questions and explained that the administration fee was to defer the costs of running the restaurant. Having been in the business for many years I called bullshit on that charge. So that conversation didn't end well. I said costs of doing business should be incorporated into your pricing and not an added cost to your patrons in an add on fee. So because he wasn't at all apologetic or empathetic I charged him 1.86$ bullshit charge which I deducted from the gratuity. Sorry to say I won't be returning.
