The beer tap selection is great and there are even more tasty bottled options in the cooler. They have Rainier on tap - which is heavenly in itself. They have food menu options are of classic bar food favorites cooked to order on a grill by the bar. Unfortunately, the vegetarian options are limited to fries or tots or onion rings and maybe a salad. A black bean burger option would be a welcome addition. All in all, a solid hide away for a pleasant pint and unique environment while exploring the foothills of the Cascades. read more

Truly the Last Frontier of saloons or dive bars. It is a REAL dive bar. Everything about it must be 200 years old. I don't think you can truly take in all of the decor in just when visit. It has to take a few. They have indoor tables and bar seats as well as a back patio. They have basic bar drinks, they serve great food like burgers, fries, onion rings, etc. This isn't a destination for striking up an hour long convo with the bartender because she is busy serving drinks, frying burgers, and cashing people out. It's a friendly neighborhood bar with lots of interesting pieces of artwork, even on the ceiling! The patrons were friendly, which was nice. I enjoyed the burger I ordered but the start of the show was the BLT on a hotdog bun! There was an abundance of bacon cooked extra crispy with just the right amount of lettuce and tomato! (5 stars) The service was exceptional; she cooked the food, attended the bar, and served patrons! EXCELLENT SERVICE! I will be back next year to order the BLT! I dropped in for a quick burger and a beer. The gal behind the bar there on her own and was taking orders, making drinks, cooking the food, serving the entire bar. I got the impression that this is how this bar is run... just by one employee who is trying her hardest. I left her a big tip, but I'm not coming back. Looks like the counters have never been wiped, bathroom have ants crawling everywhere and don't even look behind the bar or you'll see meat sitting on the counter waiting to be grilled, a bit longer than I'm sure the average beer belled biker would be able to tolerate. If you're from out of town and need a quick bite after floating nearby, this restaurant won't want your business. A group of us came in on a Sunday evening, and were immediately treated as if we were a nuisance just for wanting to purchase some food and drinks. We got our IDs checked multiple times and scrutinized as if we were coming in with fake IDs. And even having the waiter throw the IDs back at us on the table. After getting IDs out the way the waiter said to "order the same food because it will be much quicker". It seemed like they didn't want our business so we just took it down the street to small fry's. Save your time and skip this place if you're in the area, and just go to small fries they will at least take your business kindly! read more

What a great little local tavern! I'm learning quickly to listen to the locals and coworkers recommended places to try. They were spot on here. Local atmosphere on a Wednesday late afternoon, if salty language in a tavern atmosphere, bothers you, don't bother stopping in. Lol Great eclectic bar decor, Christine the bar tender and cook, was on top of it all, shout out to all hard working waiting staff, present and past. Burgers come highly recommended, I ordered the Frontier burger, with blue cheese dressing, crumbles and bacon.. delicious and cooked like a burger should be, a little pink in the middle, Yummy! Fries were done hot and crispy, all good with a few of the local beers on tap. Made for a great middle of the week top off meal. Lots of locals coming in and out, all known by Christine. Fun atmosphere, just listening to conversations, friendly and funny, with ongoing commentary on the baseball game on the strategically located TV's. weekend filled with ever-upbeat and hope-for-the-future moments as are weddings, most anyway, had very real need for a reprieve from this wholesome diet. not that i didn't want the best for my son, but there's no way to describe why i felt so alien being around the kind of normal people he and his bride are fortunate to surround themselves with. they're lucky, or more careful, certainly raised in time and place less likely to damage. not so where and when i came from. i won't go into what exactly shaped my own nature, except to say you might well have predicted something ultimately a bit diseased. lucky having finally had the moment to father two great kids. but kids are gone sooner than you think, and what replaces them is more of what you were in the process of getting away from in the first place, which is what i was doing now, after a few days in this wedding happening in suburban Seattle. for an incurable melancholic like myself, nothing else grounds like being surrounded by kindred lost souls in a true dive bar, especially a new-found one happened upon while driving alone in twilight on some random road to nowhere in particular. given that i'm a stranger in the area, most any road off the mainroad qualifies. the outskirts is what i was looking for this evening and sure enough, deus ex machina, my trusty muse came through again. for some time now i've believed, not in the kindness of strangers but that i do have one blessing in life. this is a kind of inner compass that guides me around places i've never been and won't be back again. this is helpful at the critical moment when you have to go right, or left. it's been reliable many places. it was a great find in southern bolivia, around a curve there appeared out of nowhere in the dense bushy landscape a mechanic's shed/parilla bar, this at a most opportune moment. or the impossibly odd hotel, this in name only, surrounded by ancient and sadly frozen-in-january apple orchards along the remote southern border of poland / ukraine. never know what's coming, but something tells me to turn off the gps if it still works, and trust a sense that it's just around the corner. on the other hand, realistically the fact is these finds are not necessarily of the 5* category as i have very low standards and no expectations when in this get away from mood. really anything a bit unusual qualifies, and in many cases unusual is all there is to be had in the area anyway. please, just let it be, whatever it is, something that can't help being whatever it is. that'd be me. this place was the right place, except inside it did seem a bit stagey to me for a true dive. you can't decorate for that, in fact consciously doing so is a bit like trying to catch a fly in midair. the harder you go for it, the less likely you are to get it. this trip started by heading for a kind of riverroad at north bend, but the road turned inland and less interesting, then turned riverroad like again at snoqualmie which is a name seemingly misspelled, like they forgot the w. finally on hwy 202, i came to the bridge at fall city and at the end of the bridge there it was, the last frontier saloon, misnomered of course as this was located nowhere like a frontier. but assuming it is likely the last saloon on the road, "last chance saloon" would have been more accurate, but who's counting. you have to stop given the cozy look of the place, which is tucked in between a few roadside services. inside, the decor essentially screams to you "hey, come on in and look at all this funky shxt!" ok, and that's about all there was to do, at least this early evening so i downed a few cold ones and a burger, all of which were fine. the place probably gets more lively after the sun goes out, or on weekends. as for all the gee gaws littering the place with "character" it was a bit much. you perhaps saw some of it on your grandparents farm in your infancy, if your grandparents had a farm anyway. but the real draw were the nice folks inside, easy to talk with, not damaged or diseased, but not hopelessly upbeat either. read more

A popular watering hole stop one of my friends suggested. We came in about an hour or so before closing time. It seems as soon as we walked in we got some attitude. After the initial few pitchers and just a few basket of snacks, didn't really see the bartender come back to check on anything. Then as we walked out, seemed one of the locals decided to get mouthy about us re-arranging the tables. And another smart remark about a poor tip. As some of the reviews have noted, if you aren't a local or a regular, maybe find another spot. The bar has a charming decor and is really unique. The three baskets of cheese sticks, about a one third of them had no cheese in them. I'm not sure how that happens. 9 years in the service industry. So I know a bit about restaurant and bar work. I get it is a dive bar, but the snarky attitude is a bit too much for me to take. I would have left a one star, but the unique bar atmosphere, I could be convinced to try it one more time. read more

This was an interesting place and the photos don't do it justice. It was very eclectic, but extremely hip. The 16x20 framed J.P. Patches Farrell's picture speaks to any true adult native. I ended up here because I needed to be on the east side of Sammamish and read a review where someone said it was the best burger they ever had. I know this statement was bold and most like not true, but I figured I should check it out. The place appeared to be full of regulars as the bartender appeared to know everyone by name. The menu was super simple, and I had the Bacon Cheeseburger. The burger was good, really good, but I have had better for less. At $17, it was at least $4 too much. When Red Robin is on their game, their burger will hit the spot the same way, plus with bottomless fries. What amazed me most is the fact that the bartender appeared to be serving everyone in the joint, while also cooking all the food. I don't think I have ever seen a single person manage so many people in any commerce situation. It's probably kin to the peanut guys at ball parks, how they can riffle bags of nuts across sections, wrangle payments and change all while yelling Cold Beer. Anyway, cool place, great burger, but the price was not a good value, that is the only reason they didn't get 5 stars. read more

I like this joint for it's laid back vibe. Check your attitude at the door and chill with the locals and, on nice motorcycle riding days, fellow bikers. The service is, um, suitably informal. Decent beer selection and mediocre burgers on the eclectic patio on a ice day gives me a war feeling inside, as it is a low stress oasis, where I feel it's okay not to check e-mail for an hour or two and enjoy life at a slower pace. read more

I loved this place but my boyfriend was only so-so, so gave it 4 stars as a compromise. Very laid back small bar with lots of locals inside. We rode up on our Indian and got lots of compliments. We got burgers, fries, and onion rings. All of which were amazingly fresh. Also, I was very excited that they had just started carrying gluten free buns (see pic)! I was surprised it wasn't too crowded given how many people were out around town. The cons: very hot and stuffy on a very hot day and burger was well-done and too greasy. Stopped here after a hike with my sister! Was greeted by the owner and his dog upon arrival! Both were very friendly. Lol Bartender was awesome.
