North Bend Bar & Grill absolutely crushed it. I had the mushroom Swiss burger, and without question it was the best I've ever had. It was juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor. The chopped blue cheese salad was fantastic as well, with plenty of bacon (exactly how it should be). Portion sizes were generous, and everything was prepared perfectly. The bar area had a great vibe; busy, lively, and relaxed; with people clearly enjoying a Saturday afternoon. Service was spot on. Seth, the barman, was awesome. Swung in here for a lunch pit-stop during holiday travels, and we were not disappointed! The menu has something for everyone and brunch until 3pm. My brother in-law and I ordered the brisket poutine and the Reuben sandwich to split and share because we couldn't choose just one thing! The service was excellent, although a tad slow at times, but nothing major enough to dock a star. It was decently busy and it's during the holidays. You won't be disappointed by coming here! NBB&G is a North Bend staple. I know some people absolutely love this place. For me, the food and service is really hit or miss. Recently tried the salmon burger for the first time and it was really good! Their bar drinks are always tasty but I wish they would up their glassware game. Cocktails in basic pint glasses is underwhelming. My kiddo had the clam chowder and found it too spicy- I think it had a lot of black pepper. Really cozy, clean, and well decorated interior. I will dine here on occasion but it's on the lower end of my preference next to other NB establishments. read more

Great family restaurant with reasonable menu choices, good service and a wonderful place to go after a soccer or basketball game with the family. Large burning fire in the winter time makes it cozy and fun. Kids say it is the best fish and the best desserts around. read more

We've been to North Bend Bar and Grill multiple times after hiking in the area. It has been one of our go-to spots for a post-hike beer and nachos. We haven't been in over one year, and were super bummed that they changed their menu and no longer have the nachos. This time we grabbed just drinks instead since the nachos were not available. We got the Seasonal Shrub Cocktail (can't remember the exact name) and a local draft beer. The cocktail was VERY good. I had to slow myself down while drinking it. I was nervous about getting in as reviews recommended a reservation, yet the online reservation was closed and the restaurant had an automated phone system that kept hanging up on me. The restaurant is styled in a rustic modern way - a good combo of western steakhouse and small town hangout. Service was prompt and friendly and food was delicious. I had the NY strip steak that was nicely seasoned and my spouse had the shrimp po boy - she loved it but found it hard to eat as a sandwich as it was so large. In years past cousins who have dined here raved about this place and I knew it was close by so I said let's stop in and have dinner. Cozy restaurant, but would've been better had it had carpeting. We were seated a booth and immediately. I was very uncomfortable, hard wooden benches, kind of like the ones that you see at the outback :(. We ordered appetizers, we both had clam chowder and the calamari. Calamari was OK, but had a weird coconut, curry dipping sauce, clam chowder was good with great flavor! For dinner, I ordered the New York strip, with mashed potatoes, and my fiancé ordered the fish and chips. When we got our food, we were less than thrilled... My steak that I ordered medium well was literally almost charcoal, To the point of hockey puck :(. My fiancé's fish and chips had so much breading on them. It was impossible to taste the fish. we love a good tempura coating, but it was almost like triple dipped, in tempura batter... Both me and him scraped off all the batter to get to the fish. A friend and I came in last weekend and spent our entire hike talking about North Bend Bar and Grill, reminiscing about how good their tater tots with ranch are, and I also remember their Impossible Burger being really good. When we got to the restaurant it was quite busy (we ended up waiting around half an hour - not bad for a drizzly Saturday lunch rush), we found out that not only did they not carry the Impossible Burger anymore, they also discontinued the tater tots! I ended up getting the Dirty Bird sandwich with blackened chicken, which came with a side of fries - got the ranch that I had been talking about, though, which was just like I remember it. Sandwich was pretty good - a nice stack of chicken, bacon, and veggies with sourdough bread that was nicely toasted. Fries were cooked to perfection (my friend's sweet potato fries looked like burnt ends, though) and paired so well with the ranch. Oh! I love this place! They have managed to make some of the best nachos I've ever had! I quite honestly crave them every day. The pulled pork truly elevates them to an amazing level! I have enjoyed everything I've tried from this spot. One thing I wish they would bring back to the menu would be their home made potato chips and cream cheese dip. The menu offers a lot of options and they are also accommodating to restrictions from what I observed with other members of my parties. The menu and atmosphere is also very family friendly. Really great atmosphere with a bar, dinning room and outdoor seating. The bar had TVs playing a variety of games so that's where we sat. There was a table we wanted and they were so nice to quickly clean it for us. Our seats were right by the kitchen so we got to see everything coming out and boy did we want to try almost everything. We were on a bike ride on a near by trail and stop for a snack. We got salads and fries and they were delish. The salads were fresh and a good size. The fries were crispy and the dipping sauces were so good - probably made in house. They have a brunch that we will definitely be back to try. read more

It's pretty pricey and I don't generally appreciate inconsistency with a place that isn't cheap so I will pass on coming here if I have another option. There have been a few good servers here and there, but the majority of them are rude and act like they are doing you a favor to take your order or give decent service. that comes from the top. If the ownership and management group don't care, why would the employees.? I feel bad that they had the water issue and had to close temporarily. We stopped by for breakfast. It was packed but the wait was only 20 minutes. You can call ahead for reservations. There is a parking lot on the side and back of the restaurant. It is pet friendly. There is an outdoor patio space to enjoy your meal and bring your pet. They have an adult and kid menu. The portion sizes are average. For the kids, they offer a size of fresh fruit with the meal. The kids ate it all up and look forward to going back. I ordered the biscuits and gravy meal and it was okay. It wasn't a wow factor for me and will try something different next time. My husband wasn't too fond of his meal either. It was nice to try but wasn't impressed. Since the kids liked it we will give it a shot another time. Also, the seating was tight and uncomfortable. The table we sat at had a chair on one side and a bench on the other. The table had iron cast legs. It was awkward on the bench side with us crammed in. read more
