Up until yesterday we loved Last Tangle. My daughter has spent alot of time and money growing her hair out. She's been afraid to get it cut but she did want a little trim because of her upcoming prom. Unfortunately I got stuck at work and my husband had to take her. So I do blame myself but I told her to very specific with the stylist. I even had an appointment with the same person a couple weeks ago and talked about my daughter's fear of losing length. According to my daughter she agreed to the 2 inches of dead straight hair on the bottom but was very clear about not wanting to lose length all over. The woman took at least 3 or 4 inches off all over her head. Hair that came to her elbows now barely falls past her shoulders and what's worse is that it is uneven. The right side is very noticeably longer than the left side. If she didn't understand curly hair, she should have said something. Maybe she didn't like my daughter or thought she was wrong to express what she wanted and decided to teach her a lesson. Now she doesn't even want to go to the prom. We can't get the hair back and I have to pay somebody else to fix it. We will never go back again. read more

I've patronized the Last Tangle Salon and Spa for over a decade. It is very convenient for me because I live right around the corner and their hours of operation allow me to get my haircut whenever necessary. I have no complaints. I am a dude, so my haircut is usually simple and quick. I don't make an appointment, I just walk in and ask if anyone has time to cut my hair. And they do! Sometimes I will get my eyebrows waxed - they do it all! I appreciate the personnel are always smiling and polite and after I get my haircut, everyone that knows me compliments what a good job the salon did on my hair. I don't have any pictures to post - at least for now - I mean the folks on the internet reading this don't need to see my haircut... but the salon is very professional looking: bright, clean, with a variety of stations, and plenty of products on display. I went here for the first time today to get a hair cut. Staff was super friendly and warming towards clients. I was there for a little less than an hour and was charged $55 for a haircut with a wash and style. I had Christine as my hairstylist and you can tell she really does put her time and effort into what she does! She took account of the style I wanted and adjusted slightly to fit my lifestyle better. I recommend! they also do a loyalty rewards punch card which is great! read more

More than just hair...the best place to visit for a massage! Pam is probably the best massage therapist I have been to in years. She pays attention to how you are feeling and seems to know when when to pay extra attention to the spots that need it. I will never go to anyone else! I also get my hair done and Jules does a great job on color and cuts, definitely more than just a hair salon. read more

I love going to Last Tangle, not only because my hair looks great, but because of the friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the time the girls take to make sure your hair style is exactly what you want. I had Linda, the owner, cut my hair early September from a picture that I brought in and it looked better than the professional picture! She took her time, made sure one side wasn't longer than the other lol and it is the perfect cut for me ~ can wear straight, curly, wavy, etc. They've even taught me how to use a curling iron correctly to get the look I want and products to use (and I don't like spending money on extra stuff!) I had Linda cut my hair again this past weekend and she did not fail ~ it looks amazing! Also, I had Anna do a violet/reddish balyage on my hair and it looks awesome! This comes a little delayed but I figured never too late to share gratitude. Jeff cuts my hair even when I moved from DC whenever I visit I try to see him and he never disappoints. Went in and asked if I could get my hair cut, two stylists directly in front of me said "I don't know, let me check." I continued to browse the store for about 5 minutes with no acknowledgement.. I was visiting family in Williamstown and woke up to hair that needed a cut desperately -- no time to flee to my usual salon in Northern Virginia. I took a chance with the Last Tangle and am so glad I did. What a lovely place -- it felt like being in someone's living room. Lots of friendly chatter and -- even though I was clearly from out of town -- I was treated graciously. Joolz cut my wavy hair and colored it...for half the cost of what I pay in Virginia. She did a great job and clearly knew what she was doing. She and her colleagues kept me entertained throughout. I will try to schedule visits to family in NJ around the need for haircuts so I can visit the Last Tangle again! read more

The Last Tangle is such a wonderful establishment. They have such amazing and very talented hair stylists who helped me choose the right hair style and color. I do not usually post reviews on Yelp, but I love the service I received. When I walked in, I walked in with multiple pictures of hair styles I liked because I am very indecisive and I left the salon feeling confident with my hair results. I ended up getting a complete cut that is very different from my usual hair length and I got a beautiful caramel balayage with highlights that blended well with my natural hair color. They took really good care of my hair and were extremely patient with me. I love it so much. Thank you !! read more

Really the worst salon I've ever been too. I've now tried twice to get hair color done there. The first time I requested an ashy light brown color,I left with black hair. No one offered to correct it or acted like anything was out or the ordinary. I went today hoping to get blonde highlights for a funeral I have to attend before my regular salon was available. I had golden ombré hair and left with brown hair. Melissa did the foils then put toner on my hair. Her reaction when the toner came off said it all as did her coworkers face. It doesn't look like I have any hi lights in my hair at all. I made sure to specify I don't like brown framing my face. It's more brown around my face than it was when I went in. Literally the worst salon experience I've had. The owner wasn't there so the receptionist called while I was speaking to another employee who flat out looked at me and said "it does not look like you got hilights today". They wanted to charge me $145 for hair that their colorist messed up. The owner over the phone decided on $85 based on what she was told. She didn't see my hair after, didn't see the before picture of my golden blonde nothing. I would NEVER send anyone to them, not even my worst enemy because they suck that much honestly. And I never take the time to write Yelp reviews but this was worth it because I don't ever want anyone to deal with what I did. read more
