I had my boy cremated with PALS last Thursday. They take the time to make sure your pet is taken care of the way you would like. I know they offer pick up, but I brought my pup to them. They offered to carry him in for me and then took me into a room to explain what they offer. They were very accommodating. I even had my boy back within a few days! Prior to last week, I have worked with Tanya and she took the time to really explain the process of how everything works. She makes you trust PALS and know your pet is well taken care of and respected. I could not have asked for a better outcome with my pup's final experience.

Our 13-year-old GSD baby, Atticus, just passed Memorial Day weekend. Our vet's office arranged his cremation with PALS. We had his ashes back within 2 days, in a lovely wooden box with a personalized tag. This was, by far, the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through, but even though I didn't deal with them directly, I feel like PALS took good care of him.

Dear Taylor, William and I want to thank you so much for working with us with Vega's final arrangements last Friday. We were so devastated after losing her brother, Vincent, just back in February. My sweet fur baby left this world too soon and I was hesitant to find a cremation service near me. However, most of the places I called wanted to charge me $280-$300+ for a 10 pound cat until I found PALS and was told that my cat would get his own cremation without other pets for only $245. Though it was a 30 minute drive from where I live, I didn't bother to think twice and took him straight to PALS where I was greeted by Wyatt. We were brought into a closed room where you answer some questions and choose their Urn. Then you are free to say your goodbyes for as long as you'd wish. Thank you for the kind, compassionate, and caring service at PALS. In the future I will know where to bring my fur babies that pass. Forgot to mention that if you bring back your own Urn necklace they will gladly fill it up with your fur baby's ashes at no cost.

I can't say enough about the staff at Pals. They were so incredibly kind, empathetic and efficient. We lost our sweet boy at home, late at night, and I had no clue what to do. When I called Pals early in the morning, I could barely get the words out, but I was given directions and their hours, and then found someone waiting for us upon arrival. If you find yourself in the same position as me, I am so sorry for your loss. I highly recommend Pals, though. It takes a special kind of heart to do what they do.

I can truly say I cannot say enough good things about Pals. I suddenly lost my cat Merlin, and with no time to prepare for his sudden death, Pals was there in our time of need. Josh and Daniel were both extremely comforting and supportive when we needed them. Josh came to our home and picked up Merlin's body less than an hour after we had called and made the arrangements. He was absolutely amazing and let us have a last moment with Merlin and treated him with the utmost of respect. He listened to our story of Merlin's life without making us feel rushed, it has helped us grieve his passing. Merlin was very much our furry child and seeing how much respect he was given has given our hearts some peace. We had Merlin mailed home to us and when we opened the mailing box we could clearly see the care that was put into packaging. The Cedar box is absolutely beautiful and the lock and metal tag look amazing. On the bottom of the Cedar box is a printed label with Merlin's name as well as his cremation date. His paw prints are in a paw print shaped box that has a place for a picture to be displayed in as well. I am extremely happy with Pals and I can truly not recommend them enough. I know where I will be going when the time comes for my elderly dog, as I know she and I will be treated with the utmost respect and care. Reggie our cat of 15 years was cremated at Pals today 7.6.2022. Reggie was euthanized yesterday at our home by a vet euthanizing at home service because he hated going to the vet. Reggie was losing the use of his back legs due to arthritis and muscle deterioration. His front legs were now weakening as well. We knew it was time to free Reggie of his pain and discomfort. We wanted a private service with a witness cremation (nothing graphic but you get to be a part of the process). We met Joe the cremator a retired firefighter. Joe, a very kind man, explained the entire process step by step. We got to have one more final moment with Reggie in our own private viewing. Not many pet crematoriums offer this service but we had experienced this once before with a prior pet in another state in 2006 and this method was important to us for closure. Pals has streaming in their facility compared to 2006 no streaming. We have come along way. Wyatt the intake person was compassionate and a professional at the same time gathering information from us. Joe was above and beyond. The entire staff was kind and attentive. I brough my own urn because I wanted the urn to match my cat with his ginger-colored coat. Pals has their own urns for purchase or their inclusive cedar box with lock, key and pet's name on a heart tag. I kept the cedar box to put some of Reggie's hair and whiskers he shed around the house from time to time. We watched TV in the evenings (we watched he wanted to get petted while next to us). Reggie was with us everywhere all the time by our side. We miss Reggie terribly. His ginger-coat was the sunshine in our house and now the sunlight has gone. There is no sunshine coming out of any of our rooms. The house is quiet without him. He was family for 15 wonderful years. We loved Reggie dearly. We got him from an animal shelter as a kitten. Pals thank you for treating our Reggie like family. I recommend this place highly.

This review is highlighting the service and care Wyatt provided to us. The hardest thing I've had to deal with was losing my big boy Gus. From the second I called and got to the location Wyatt was extremely understanding and very caring of the situation. In a calmly respectable manner he explained the process and options that are available. He gave us as much time we needed in a very beautiful quiet room to spend the last time before our boy was taken away to start the cremation process. These last few mins were very much needed to just be with our boy and to cry, laugh and to remember all the amazing things we went through and to cherish all that our boy has given us which is the gift of man's best friend. Unfortunately this is the second time I've had to use PALS in less than 6 months. I think it says something though that I did not consider anyone else to handle our family dog (Sora was with our family for 17+ years) with the upmost care and respect for her and our family. I immediately had PALS in mind. They were very accommodating to all 6 of us who came to tell her goodbye. They were understanding of the loss we were going through. I'd like to take a minute and thank PALS and Daniel Heuerman for taking such good care of our Oliver when he passed. PALS Pet & Animal Lovers Service helped us to get through this painful process of taking care of Olivers remains. It was important to us that Oliver was treated with respect and that we got back only his remains. I'm so glad we found PALS. Open to the public, you can walk in anytime during business hours and they will give you a tour of their facility and explain how they keep track of your loved one from start to finish. Total transparency. I personally dealt with Dan and Evan and they were two of the nicest, professional people you will ever meet. When our beloved beagle-German shepherd mix died at the dog-sitter's while we were on vacation at Disneyland, PALS picked up our sweet pup and took care of everything. Although I hadn't given them any warning, and I didn't have an appointment , they set up a pickup that was only an hour out. I was able to arrange for the pickup time at the sitter's house, choose the type of service, and pay for it while still at our hotel in Anaheim. They were wonderfully caring. I think they even sent us a sympathy card in the mail afterwards. It was outstanding service by PALS at a very painful time. They could not have been more professional or kind. My little buddy Dusty was just shy of 13 when he got really sick and I had to let him go. Daniel was very helpful and compassionate in his care of my little buddy and the emotional mess that was me. My dogs illness came on suddenly and within a week, I had to make the agonizing decision to put my best friend, Carly down. I called PALS and spoke with Daniel before the process and he was very caring. I'm so grateful that he told me the process and what to expect even at the vets office. When I walked into PALS, I was sobbing and Judy was so comforting. She let me see my dog and have time with her in a very comfortable, private room. She said to take as much time as I needed. Within two days, I got Carly's box with her ashes. The box is very beautiful with a heart hanging from it with her name. I was also greeted by Daniel and Judy once again with open arms. We unfortunately saw ourselves in this tragic moment. Losing my baby boy Rico is the most tragic event thats has happened. Its been super hard on us since my mother passed away 10 weeks ago. Now my baby is gone. We are very pleased with PALS and the empathy received from them. We had the chance to leave a post-dated check since we didn't get paid until the Friday of that week, ricos accident happened on Monday 9/23. They were very welcoming. Daniel was great in explaining everything and also working with our schedules to view our baby one last time that week. Our baby Rico looked very peaceful sleeping one last time and taken care of. We got his ashes two days after our viewing. I hope not to come back to this place in a long long time. But if anyone who loves their furbaby like we do and has to say a final goodbye, PALS is the best place to go. Thank you for taking care of our baby! read more

Update:: I am pleased to say PALS was able to fix the issue and we were able to get a new paw print of our dog before he was cremated. Thank you for reaching out and making things right! Distraught by the product I received from PALS. After my dog passed I sought PALS for their crematory services and for a remembrance paw print. What I received is a blank piece of clay. (See photo) This is something I will never be able to have. How can a crematory service make this mistake during an extremely difficult time? Don't let this happen to you and seek service elsewhere. read more

PALS did an amazing job making us feel comfortable with sending our cat, Chuki, to be cremated. From the first phone call alone, they had a very reassuring and sympathetic voice. They know how we felt in this difficult time and did their best! Make sure to call ahead of time as they only do 1 cremation a day, so it might take awhile to get an appointment! We did the viewing where you can watch your pet get cremated live from a TV. They had a very nice living room area with a comfortable couch where we sat. They had tissues, the room was dimmed, and it was private. It took about an hour and a half and they gave us a nice cedar wood box where Chuki's ashes are sealed in a plastic bag and put into the box. They were very friendly and talked to us about the process and what they were going to do as they did it. I couldn't have been happier with the experience! It felt like our cat was well taken care of! read more

At such a difficult time, Kathryn and Dan and staff, treated me and my sweet girl with care. Thank you so much! I will be forever grateful to Daniel and Alex at PALS for comforting me on one of the hardest, worst days of my life: the day my sweet cat, Tesla, passed. Daniel was so kind and thoroughly explained everything about the cremation process and what the options were, what I could expect, etc. He never attempted to up-sell me, in fact, he gently discouraged me when I asked about more costly options, always giving a reasoned answer why. One of the several examples: "I wouldn't recommend buying an urn today. You're grieving and dealing with enough. I suggest you take pictures of anything you like, and when you're ready you can always come back for it." He was so understanding and sympathetic, truly a wonderful human being. Daniel introduced me to Alex, who would be performing the cremation. Alex was also absolutely wonderful, beyond every expectation. I think they both could tell how upset I was at the thought of my little girl (she was under 5lbs at the end, my poor baby) waiting in a bag overnight, so Alex found room for her and was able to cremate her that very afternoon. I was able to pick her up the very next day, and when I saw Alex again, he assured me, "Once you left her with me, she never left my hands." Physically letting her go was heartwrenching, but knowing that my sweet kitty was so well cared for by this kindhearted man was such a comfort. I cannot begin to explain how much that meant to me. I brought Tesla home in a lovely cedar box with a heart charm with her name engraved on it. Daniel checked with me to make sure her name was spelled correctly and I appreciated that so much as well. I love it! I'm guessing I just got the short straw but I didn't get my baby right away. A small miss understanding I'm guessing. It's taken me a while to write this review after losing my best friend on May 26th. I came home after work that evening to find my beloved Weimaraner deceased at the young age of 15. She gave me 15 wonderful years and will forever be in my heart. My husband was traveling, so I was left alone to make arrangements for Laddie. It was 8:00 pm, so my choices were few. After getting in touch with Pals, they were well on their way to make this horrible night as comfortable as possible. They picked her up at my home, even allowing some extra time to say goodbye. The gentleman who arrived was so nice and soft spoken, very attentive to my needs. We decided on cremation and to keep her remains. He assured me it would be only Laddie's ashes, explaining the owner of Pals opened this business for that very reason. They contacted me the next day to send condolences and explain the process. I can't tell you how important it is to be at ease with the people who have your pup during these final days. Our beloved Theodore passed while we were sleeping last week. I called PALs at 6 am, not really thinking clearly or sure of what else to do. I got a call back within ten minutes and they took care of me first! They were able to comfort me as well as give clear instructions on next steps and options. Upon arrival they greeted us and handled everything from there. We had time, very nice space, and were able to get the closure we needed in that moment! Our cat Kato passed away on a Saturday morning and we were so upset. My daughter literally grew up with him as he was 18 yrs old. We wanted to have him cremated and found PALS. From the 1st call to pickup it has been a blessing. They are all so kind and helpful. It was a sad time for us and they made it easy and so respectful. If you are looking for a wonderful option to keeping you loved one near you choose PALS. I lost my hedgehog and the entire staff helped me through the process. From the lovely and caring staff to the quality of their process don't hesitate to look further. Many of my friends who have lived here their whole life have been using PALS and have nothing but great reviews during a hard time. When I went to pick up my dearly BELOVED BEST FRIEND EVER BEAR (dear dog) 19 1/2 years I was heartbroken and devastated to see the front lobby all old concrete with remnants of flooring from what a grand entrance this once was. As I remarked to the nice ladies about this at the desk a man came veering from an adjacent room perhaps his office.. declaring.." my folks started this place and .. on and on..." I raised my hand as if to say stop and replied; " clearly you need a new job because you do not possess any compassion nor empathy." " Folks are hurting when they come here.. they are entrusting this establishment to treat their loyal faithful loving pets, with love compassion & dignity..which you are demonstrating to have none of the above". I suggested he find a new line of work and had I known this I WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS HAD MY BEST FRIEND FOREVER Cremated here!!! read more

This place was amazing! Dan showed us world class customer service from the moment we walked in the door!!! He raved about Kathy and her amazing company and the thorough and kind way that they treat pets and their families. It was definitely a wonderful experience on a horrible day. I'm not a pet lover, in fact I don't like animals, but I even oohed and ahhed a couple times. We made it out the door with cremation, a beautiful sitting kitty urn and 3 urn necklaces for under $350. I can't believe no one has reviewed this place yet! They made a sad situation more bearable. I took my little Kevin who was only a few weeks old to be cremated. When I got there they ask questions about her and were very engaging and sympathetic. They said it could take 5 days to get her back, but I was able to go collect her in less than 2 hours! Yesterday I got a card in the mail stating they were sorry for our loss. The really nice touch was it was hand written and they called Kevin by name, very personal. I am getting all choked up right now. read more

Mike and his staff went above and beyond. They did a wonderful job on our beloved Amber. .. Recently our pt-bull/lab mix was laid to rest, she had developed cancer, although heartbreaking we knew she only had a few weeks left. I found PALS online, and called ahead of time to get information, making sure our "China" would be well taken care of after her passing. Nick took care of us as soon as we arrived, he was warm and welcoming, we were able to tour the facility as we made arraignments. I have never toured a cremation facility, I immediately felt relieved knowing it was real and legit. My mind was at ease, and I knew we had made the right decision to have PALS through this difficult process. Nick sent us a condolences card a few days after, it took less than a week and we had "Chinas" ashes back, where we will be taking her to her favorite park, this is where she was her Happiest. We chose to use PALS services to help our 20 year old cat cross the rainbow bridge before Xmas. Our cat had never been to the vet office so the thought of bringing her to our vet to be put to sleep seemed so cruel and stressful to an old tired kitty. The veterinarian was beyond compassionate. She allowed us time to say goodbye and kiss on our baby girl Leia. She explained the entire process and was so calm and peaceful during the process. I don't wish this on anyone when it is time for your baby to go. We received her paws prints in model clay and just received her ashes in the mail. They are stored in a beautiful cedar box with a lock and a tag with her name engraved. When I was out of town helping my mom recover from cancer surgery, I got a frantic call from boyfriend that beloved dog Red is dying. I was completely distraught that I was not at my best friends side when he crossed the rainbow bridge. PALS was recommended by my Vet. PALS kept my dog until I got back into town a couple weeks later to say goodbye to my boy. They had a very nice viewing room set up and I blew through a box of Kleenex as I got to see my best friend one last time. After my dog was cremated I received the cedar box I choose along with the paw prints of my boy. Both were received in less than a week after cremation. I am so grateful to PALS for keeping my dog so I can see him and for how quickly I received the paw prints and cedar box. Though no one seeks a business like this without having heartbreak, I was very impressed by the staff and their professionalism and genuine concern. We lost our pup "Patch", and they turned him back over to us in a beautiful cedar chest. I wrote a review a couple of days ago on how disappointed I was with Pals, and I just want to update that. Today, I looked at the urn that I purchased with 'my pets' ashes inside and there was no label on the urn indicating what pet was inside. I opened up the urn and looked at the remains and there was no label on the ashes either, which farther supports my suspension that I didn't get the ashes of my pet. I called Pals and was told there should have been labels on the box and a bar code on the ashes. Neither was there. I'm in tears. How could they do this to a grieving pet parent? I wouldn't have given Pals one star if I wasn't forced to in order to submit this review. read more

We brought our cat in to be cremated on 8-6-2018. We picked a special urn for him and wanted his paw prints as a loving reminder of our beloved cat. When I went to pick him up on 8-10-2018 he was in the wrong urn. The PALS representative realized there was a mistake and went in the back room with our cat's remains. I waited close to an hour for their mistake to be fixed. During that hour's time a PALS representative came out to tell me "they are having a hard time fitting him in the urn." And there was something about air in the urn; I cannot remember exactly what he said about that one. I had an extremely stressful and emotional 2 weeks trying to help my cat. He died despite our efforts. PALS putting him in the wrong urn and making me sit for an hour to fix it did not help. I hope they figure out how to get orders right to not put anybody else through this. read more

As many have said, this is not a place you want to have to go to, but if the need arises, PALS is the best place to take your animal family. They are so caring and attentive to your needs. Since 1987 my family has been serving pet parents, veterinarians and rescues to give companion pets the best in cremation and memorial service. We operate a totally transparent operation is at the heart of who we are and how we do things. At PALS, we want every pet parent to have confidence in our services and know that when they get their baby back, it is most definitely their baby. My own family has experienced first had the lack of credibility and ethics that exist in closed door pet cremation businesses. It's the very reason my mother started PALS in 1987. To this day, PALS welcomes pets and pet parents during all operating hours, no appointments required. We are happy to show you how we track and document your loved one while keeping a chain of custody with them through the entire process. Every team member here at PALS is a pet parent themselves. I was devastated to think about how long it might have been there and suffered. It's body had decomposed in the heat and fused with the wire cage. The City of Phoenix Dead Animal pickup has a contract with All Animals and sent one of their "sensitive professionals" to pickup the deceased cat. I'm a frail Senior and the cage was quite heavy. The employee refused to help and immediately began yelling at me that he couldn't wait and I could get fined for the cat being in the cage. I couldn't get the cat out of the cage as it's body was attached to the wires, the employee began yelling and refused to help and wouldn't accept the cat with the cage. He was highly agitated and at one point for no reason yelled, "Don't touch me!" He finally just got in his truck and left. An emotionally draining experience made much worse by an out of control employee with anger issues.

After finding to many negatives at the top places...I landed on #16, I know...who would chose them. I did, I liked the reviews I saw...glad I did. I called, Rachel answered...I became an expert in my research so she answered the questions that were important to me. Can you come by in the Morning (24/7 btw) and they could first thing. I had a few more questions (hesitations considering another Pet Place or two), she got back to me within 10 minutes...answer my questions...she said Greg would contact me in the morning, I asked about what they would pick him up in, he's a bigger dog. She said, a Camary (well I knew that was a car and would not work especially if they would put him in the trunk or something. Greg showed up on time, and guess what...it was a Camary, he was going in the trunk and I was more than anxious, pissed?...But she assured me he would fit VERY comfortably...Greg opened his trunk of his beautiful air condition Camary and I heard harp music as my fear left me..it was one of the biggest trunks I had seen, and my 85lb dog fit more than comfortably...the service just got better from there, hence the 5-Stars. 5-STARS WHY? Rachel was very warm, caring and considerate...very responsive to my questions. Greg, was even more-so, and that blew us away. My wife was a wreck she got Baxter from a rescue, so she's been there through it all. She LOVED everything about Greg! It takes special people to do this business right...2 of them (at the least) work at LEASH. They were outstanding, I asked all the questions (and more), questions that you will probably will ask...and they were perfect! Greg also has a Harley...my wife asked if he would bring Baxter back on the Harley...don't ask lol...Baxter loved car rides...never road a Harley. Greg didn't hesitate, he said you bet...and he did. Greg kept in constant contact with us, I'd ask a question and he would get back to me pretty much right away...he let us know when he would be bringing Baxter back and right on que Rachel texted me a couple days before to let me know. We got the Gold Package, which included a Paw Print (which obviously is a must) it wasn't plaster like my dogs from 12 yrs ago, it was plastic of some sort, but it was very realistic, so I know it was our dogs print...which now I can't say that about my plaster ones for sure, : / but we both said to each other, "I Really Like These"...my wife said she loved them. The Gold Package ran us $425, and because of LEASH we had a great peace of mind that he was handled with respect and care. We recommend LEASH with all our hearts!

I called Entrusted Pets right when they opened at 9am and the call was answered by someone who responded in a manner that did not align with what I've come to expect from Entrusted Pets. I explained how my 11-year old German Shepherd was diagnosed with cancer and we were told she had maybe a week left. I asked if they still offered assistance with setting up the euthanasia and I was told no. I was then told that a vet would have to come to my place, and we would then have to bring our dog's body to them for the cremation. This is in stark contrast to my previous experiences where I could bring my pet to their facility, say goodbye, and they took care of everything after that. But today, there was no understanding, no support - it was very clinical and matter-of-fact. The entirety of the call lasted exactly one minute, and that included me asking all my questions. Unfortunately, this place isn't what is used to be. Instead, I'll just find a Vet to come to my home - as suggested - and take it from there.

I will take some responsibility in the fact that I was not the person to directly talk with anyone as I had Less than 24 hours between realizing that my dog was terminal and needing to put him down, so I handed that responsibility off to my fiancé, who was informed that I really really wanted an ink print. But he didn't know/think specifically to ask for ink when he called the company and just said paw print. It is standard for them to give a ceramic paw print, but not ink. We just went and picked everything up and while everything else was absolutely beautiful, to say that I am absolutely DEVASTATED to not have a true ink print of his paw with all the little nuances specific to my baby is an understatement. I think it's important to add that in here because a couple other reviews that I read between yelp and Google specifically stated getting ink prints (they all said they weren't expecting them, but it did make it sound like it was a regular thing) which is why I didn't double down and follow back up myself to make sure that this happened The girl working the front desk was so sweet and did her absolute best to try to get a quick one from the mold that was used for the ceramic, but it's just not the same and it's definitely not exact With that said, this company was timely in pickup and absolutely everyone we've interacted with was so sweet. It truly does seem like they take care of your pet as if it were their own. What we got, which is the standard: ceramic paw print with his name, plain cedar box with his ashes, for clippings, and a heart shaped paper with wildflower seeds in it to plant. The rescue takes in mostly German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois from puppies to seniors and from various backgrounds - strays, owner surrenders, from other shelters (some on the e-list), medical hardships, etc. Once under SPRA care the dogs are well fed, are walked and/or get play time outside of their kennels 4 times a day, receive medical care if needed, etc. The volunteers and staff also work with the dogs on socialization and basic training. It's also important to know that SPRA is a no kill shelter. Bottom line, if you're looking for a German Shepherd or Belgian Malinois please check out Saving Paws Rescue Arizona. 5 stars can't even come close to giving PALS the recognition it deserves in the animal cremation business. Being in the rescue business, PALS is so wonderful at giving each rescue at the annual PACC911 (a consortium of rescues from around the state) a certificate for a free cremation. Unfortunately I have had to euthanize too many personal pets over the years and have always only spent a few minutes with them at the Vet's office where they were then taken away to the freezer and I never saw them again til the ashes were ready for pick up. Sadly the time came that we needed to use it this month. Athena actually became a foster failure for me and rather than allowing Ames, a company alot of Animal Hospitals use including mine, I decided to use the certificate after speaking with Dan about their services. After learning about how personal their services are, there was no question I would take her there. When Athena and I arrived, we were immediately greeted with kindness and sympathy. They have a private viewing room where you are able to spend as much time, whether it be 10 minutes to a full day, saying goodbye to your pet. I honestly cannot believe how much that meant to me. It may sound morbid but I spent over two hours holding her, petting her, kissing her and talking to her. You have complete privacy; a living room feel with furniture, water, soft lighting and they will give you anything you request if possible. Out of the blue, one of our dogs we adopted out became sick and within 4 days passed away at home. Now this meant another one of rescue dogs had to come to PALS. I would have never thought I would be back so quickly. Tiny was a bit of a celebrity in the rescue community and his death was so sudden. He had been my foster for 9 months and although I had 8 more dogs, he became like a special son to me. His family was able to share almost a year and half with him. We were devastated as we were able to have him as a part of our families including his 7-year old human brother, his 4-legged brother Stanley and his Mom of course. After my experience twice within 3 weeks with PALS, I will never use another cremation company or leave my animal again at the Vet to be taken away as just another frozen pet in a garbage bag. Although I had to pick Athena up the next day which meant she was frozen, it was me bringing her in and then having that extra time with her that made the difference. There are not enough words of thanks I can give to Dan and PALS. I know when I left, in my heart, I was able to have peace within myself and know that both pups knew they were loved more than they could have ever realized while they were still alive. My family and I had to unexpectedly let our Dakota go. This was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. Dakota was my first dog and her sickness came very unexpected. After we let her go I received a call from Tanya who is an employee at Pals. She went over different services they offered, answered my questions perfectly and let me grieve about my dog. I kept her on the phone crying for 30 mins. I was crying my eyes out and Tanya just sat on the phone and let me cry. She had so much compassion, was very understanding and went far and beyond what I would have ever expect an employee to do. During this difficult time the last thing I wanted to worry about was how I was going to cremate my Dakota or what type of urn I wanted her back in. Tanya walked me through the process and reassured me that my Dakota was in good hands. I knew after hanging up with Tanya that my Dakota was going to be treated with respect. I was able to receive Dakota in just a few days. I had no idea I'd be able to bring Dakota back home so quickly. My husband picked her up at the Pals office and he said it was so clean, everyone was polite and he was greeted when he walked in. I have also called Pals and spoke to Dan and Daniel which they both were more then accommodating, polite and compassionate. It really takes a special person to work in this field and I know after dealing with these employees at Pals that these are some special people. There is no other company I'd use if I had to cremate my pet. This company is top of the line. I don't have enough positive words to explain this company and their employees. Very good experience with this company. After a very fast illness with cancer my dog needed to be put to sleep in order for her to die humanely. I was devestated as she was like family to me. I was told about Pals from the in home vet that facilitated her easy passing and I am so glad she did. Daniel was very caring and was patient in explaining the process of the cremation with a guarantee that if we paid for her to be cremated alone, that is what would happen. He also gave my husband a tour of the facility and answered all of his questions. I also got to meet Daniel's adorable Italian Greyhound who came in the room to get a quick peak at us. I was able to pick up my baby a few days later in a lovely locked wooden box with a dog tag with her name imprinted on the latch. I shared with Daniel that I planned to use some of her ashes to have jewelry made in her honor and he let me know that he would reseal the packaging the ashes were in to make sure there was no degrading of the ashes due to air exposure free of charge. I've never even thought of using a company like this. My husband and I wanted our loved baby with us wherever we may end up living so a backyard burial was not in the cards. It's going to take me time to heal, but I do feel better knowing we left her in good and caring hands and I was able to bring her home not long after she was dropped off. I liked being able to just show up and I liked the fact that we had time with her to say goodbye before we left her. She was laid on a plush blanket in a nice cozy room for us to tell her one more time how much she was loved and that we would never forget her. I am committed to writing reviews as that is how I find reputable places and believe it is a service to others in their search. I had to let one of my beloved cats go as he had 3 different terminal things going on. So, I knew I wanted to delivery my boy myself to a great place that was in it for the right reasons and who cared so I got on yelp. Yep, everyone that has experienced Pals said the same thing so I took my boy here. And, yes, do not let the area detour you away it is a very very great place. As soon as I walked in the door Daniel Khan greeted me. He was so warm and comforting. He took me into a room to talk and would have given me as much time as I needed before he explained it all to me. He explained most of the process of the service and offered to take me around the entire place if I needed too. I left knowing I took my boy to the right place. Schmigal passed away on Tuesday September 13th I took him to Pals and he was cremated on the 14th it was fast.I also spoke to Tanya who was so very compassionate and warm she took care of my boy to be picked up. I was able to pick him up on the 16th and Daniel was there to meet me as soon as I walked in the door to pick up my boy to take him home. Daniel was AGAIN warm, caring , sweet. All I can tell anyone looking for a place that cares with integrity this is it. I know it is sooooooooo hard to get on yelp and look up stuff like this but, thank goodness most of us realize we need help and people like everyone here on this page to tell of our experience to help others. We recently lost our Boxer "Mini" and were heartbroken as we are whenever we lose one of our furbabies. We felt the need to show our appreciation to PALS. We have been using PALS for years since we adopt and rescue multiple dogs at a time and end up keeping many of them. We love our dogs because they are very important members of our family and we consider them our children. When the time comes when they are sick and can't be saved, we have our Vet put them to sleep while we are right there with them. We then schedule witnessed cremation because we want to make sure we get only our dogs remain back. (We have used other pet cremation businesses prior to PALS and did not do the witness cremation so we doubted we had our dog back with us.) PALS is very professional but we still prefer the witness cremation which is more expensive but we feel the need to be with our family members and take them home with us. We have to make mention of Daniel -the owners son and Dan the office manager who were very helpful and kind. Last but not least is Raymond who we have been entrusting our fur babies cremation with for years. We are able to watch Raymond on the TV screen put our babies in the crematorium and he checks the process and comes into the waiting room keeping us updated on the length of time etc. Raymond is sincere and empathic & always comes in when we are with our babies (prior to him taking them back) and offers his condolences. PALS is an amazing place, we were unfortunate enough to need. We recently lost our Great Dane to Cancer, tried as we might we were able to extend her quality of life from the 2 months the Vet gave us to over 5 months, and our Girl made it through Christmas, and was able to be with us through New Years. We lost her on the night of New years day. PALS was able to take our devastating circumstance, and help us in to many ways to mention. The staff is absolutely amazing, their caring and concern for your best friend, your family and yourself is unmatched. We were greeted by the most friendly gentlemen at the front desk as we came in, and then met the most caring understanding compassionate lady, and she took the time to sit with us, and let us tell our story about our Mila for as long as we wanted. Their service is amazing, they truly care about every person and their pets that come through their door. Not the fake stuff I was expecting. If you happen to be in our unfortunate circumstance, (we are sorry) and you cannot choose a better place then PALS. From beginning to end you can feel that they truly do care, and understand your grief, and that this is a family member to you , not just a pet. I really have nothing bad at all to say about this place and the people that I met that work there. On the contrary, I can't say enough good things about them. All of the people that I personaly met or talked to, were beyond caring, understanding and compassionate. They took the time to listen to me, explain everything to me through my grief, Offered me water several times, allowed me to have time with my Jasper even though I came in almost as they were getting ready to close for the day, carried him in for me. From the moment, I walked in to the moment I left, I felt very good about the place, I didn't feel alone in my decisions. I lost my Jasper way too soon last week from an illness that came on suddenly and left him in critical condition before passing away at home after a long day at multiple vets and I am still having a very hard time with it. I went in today to "Bring him home." The day I dropped him off with them and the day I picked him up to bring him home, I was treated with understanding and was told both times, as I was leaving to be safe. These wonderful people, who I didn't/don't know, made me feel like someone actually cared when even in my own personal life, it is hard to find people who even pretended to care. I have known Katherine at PALS for about 20 years, since the inception of her facility. Our first need for pet services was late 2014 for Diane's beloved JJ, a 15 year old Boxer/Lab mix. The entire staff at PALS was understanding, compassionate, comforting, accommodating, explained the process and took care of JJ, returning her ashes within the week. We awoke on Saturday morning, February 13th, 2016 to find that our wonderful Jumba, a 13 year old Doberman/Rottweiler mix, had passed peacefully in his sleep. We had no forewarning whatsoever, as the day and evening before, he was his normal active, happy, playful, loving and inquisitive self, jumping right up into the truck and down again when we arrived at our home in Peeples Valley, after leaving from Glendale. We transported Jumba down to PALS right away so he could be cared for as he well deserved, calling on the way and speaking with Daniel, so they at least knew we were coming. Once again, nothing but top notch service, as was with JJ, and we were allowed as much time as wished for our goodbyes with Jumba. His remains will be returned to us this week. Diane and I have nothing but the highest praise for the entire PALS staff, from ownership throughout, as they demonstrate a true caring for our animal friends, companions, family members. Let me first start by saying that I can never say thank you enough to PALS especially Daniel for the kindness and compassion that was shown to my family and I when we lost Maxx, our beloved and amazing cat. My kids were a mess, I was a mess everything was just so sad. My kids grew up with Maxx as part of their lives and now this moment was so painful for both of them. We knew the day would come soon as Maxx was now 15 and he was slowing down a lot, but lets face it we never are really ready for that moment to come. When it happened my son called me and said, "What do I do mama Maxx is dead?" In between sobs and I'm so sorries to my son for his loss, I managed to pull it together and call PALS. I am fortunate enough to know of PALS through Daniel put I never really thought I would ever need to call for their services. We were able to have a viewing so that my daughter and I could say our goodbyes, had his little paws in plaster and were able to have his ashes later that day. We were treated with such compassion and understanding. Dan and Katherine were amazing. They get it. Our Maxx was just not a pet, he was a family member that will always be missed and cherished. Before we put our beloved 17 year old cat Einstein to sleep I called Pals 3 times and discussed with them about their services. All three people I talked to over the phone had such compassion and it put us at ease. The day we put our little "sweet boy" to rest we took him personally to the facility. We knew we were going to do the Witness cremation. The room was comfortable with a couch and TV and we spent 45 minutes with Einy before we let Raymond take him away to be cremated. Raymond performed the cremation and he came back to the room about 5 times during the process to tell us what he would be doing next. Both my husband and I were in tears during the process to put Einstein down, but during the cremation process for some reason we felt better and felt we had picked the correct facility and that everything was going to be okay. I think the kindness shown by Raymond erased some of the grief we were going through. They have some wonderful urns if one feels they want to upgrade. My daughter has 2 cats and I know that she will pick out one of their cat urns when the time comes. The cedar box was very nice that Einy's remains were placed in. Both my husband and I feel better after this process because of the compassion shown and being able to witness the process. read more

My family lost our 10 year old Chihuahua on December 7th. We were devestated as she was a part of our family for the last decade. After looking online and reading reviews, the first place I called was PALS. I spoke with Katherine and asked about their services, she was so informative and sympathetic that I knew at that moment this was the place I was going to be using to help our family with Daisy Mae during this difficult time. This was the first and last phone call I made. We arrived that afternoon with Daisy Mae. The employee that assisted us was just as caring and sympathetic as Katherine was on the phone. I had no doubts that they would treat my fur baby exactly as they would their own. I left with absolutely no questions at all and our hearts were at peace. They returned Daisy's ashes to our family in less than 24 hours. They returned her in a beautiful cedar chest with a lock and key. There was also a red heart tag with her name engraved on it. UNBELIEVABLE caring service was received from my first tearful call to picking up the beautifully crafted cedar box containing my beloved Kona!! Katherine and Michelle made saying goodbye to my family member of 16 years less heartbreaking. Not only did Katherine take the time to learn about Kona, my devoted schipperke, but she educated me about the differences in their services so I could make my last important decision for my girl with confidence. The distance to the business and late hour put my arrival near close on a Friday. The added stress quickly disappeared when Michelle met me with a warm, kind welcome. Another employee leaving for the day stopped to give me his condolences. Michelle encouraged me to stay as long as necessary to say last goodbyes and offered cool refreshments. This professional, hard working team allowed me to grieve at MY convenience in the privacy of a quiet, comfortable room so my last moments were precious. THAT meant the WORLD to me!!! Witness cremation at PALS has changed for the worse. Two years ago I was able to watch in-person the entire process and even able to talk to the man who ground up the cremains (I asked him not to grind the cremains too fine). Now in 2015 at PALS a witness cremation means you watch the entire process on a flat screen TV connected to two CCTV cameras. One camera is on the oven the second camera in the room where they grind the cremains which is the room (two years ago) where you used to be in to witness a cremation. You don't buy a ticket to a live event to experience/watch it on TV. Similarly for a witness cremation I don't want to watch it on TV. During the witness cremation the oven camera went bad. Staff tried to fix the oven camera but couldn't. Brian at PALS compromised a little since we were repeat customers and allowed us to watch our pet to go into the oven in person (as in right there). Unless PALS changes how they do witness cremations I suggest you go elsewhere. I hope this isn't a trend among AZ pet crematories to provide fake witness cremations. read more

My beautiful Great Dane died unexpectedly on a weekend in July. I was devastated and did not know what to do so I called the Human Society. They recommended I call PALS. From the first call, the staff was so kind and caring and they understood the immediacy of my need. They were out within two hours. Nick came to may door and was concerned about helping me to understand what would happen, and to ease my concerns. He managed to take my big baby on his own with all the care he could give. In a few days, I received the call that the ashes were ready. "Merlin is ready to go home." I found my way to the office in the center of West Phoenix. I opened the door to find charming paintings of beautiful animals. There was a wall of cards giving thanks for PA:LS service and support. The staff were incredible! They understood how hard it is to lose a best friend. As I put Merlin back in my arms again, I left knowing that I too would be sharing my thanks. I just have to say pals has gone ABOVE and BEYOND! for my family. My mom's dog 'Special' passed away. We had also lost my younger brother 2 days prior so my family was already grieving. After calling dozens of locations even 24 hour pick up locations. We began to lose hope. But we are so thankful for pals and their services to us. Dont know if I'm supposed to mention this but after hearing about what my family had already been going through PALS waived our fees and treated us with love and care. Special was a heavy girl and she was carried out with dignity and respect she deserved. They didn't hesitate to come to our home after dark! They gave me more time to say goodbye to Special. And it was greatly appreciated! And already by the next day they called for us to come pick up her ashes in a beautiful box with a card. I recommend PALS. How do I even begin to show my gratitude and give the proper thanks? As a rescue/Foster mom for dogs I received the worst phone message imaginable. We as rescuers hope that all adoptions have happy endings but apparently that isn't always the case. After making many frantic phone calls I was finally in touch with PALS and my worst fear was confirmed. A devastating blow to my heart! The second they picked up the phone they were the most kind, caring and compassionate people I have ever encountered. Tonya was amazing. I'm 2 hours out of town sobbing over the phone and it felt like she stopped her entire day just to help me. A total stranger. Words of comfort I will never forget. And then David.. same thing.. his level of compassion is beyond words. They help make a very sad time as comfortable as possible. That's not an easy task either. But they do it and they do it well. Highly recommend this business.. the sweetest most sincere staff.. my poor mama coco lost her life way to early at 7 months old due to a hit and run last night i was not prepared at all and had no clue where to turn and was becoming devastated when i was getting such high quotes from other places after reading the reviews i knew i needed to come here! (Very reasonably priced and once i was shown what she would come home in after i was so happy also bought the paw imprint and for both such an amazing price) We were greeted here with so much love and caring arms! They made the process very smooth and give you a beautiful room to say your final goodbyes for as long as you need.. I want to give them the biggest shout out these people are amazing and are so genuinely caring. I feel so comfortable and happy to have them care for my baby until I am able to pick her up. We lost Nikki, our beloved 15yo Mini Schnauzer, yesterday in a freak drowning accident. Being a holiday weekend, we didn't think anyone would be available to help us at this juncture. PALS came to the rescue. Daniel responded promptly to my emailed request for help. They were open(!) so I was able to call and get my questions answered. We drove our little fur baby on her last car ride to the PALS location, and Judy was an absolute comfort in helping us through the details. She was extremely caring and kind. She gave us our options, with warmth and sympathy. I truly appreciated the fact that there was no pressure to up-sell their services. If you are ever in need of end-of-life services for your fur baby, I couldn't think of a better, friendlier and more empathetic group of people to help you at your time of grief. My 11 year olds dog passed away, unexpectedly, last night and I needed a place that would be sensitive to his feelings, as well as my other 2 kids. He wanted to keep her ashes and he wanted to know how it all worked. I called ahead of time so I could fill them in and I spoke with Daniel who was incredibly compassionate, professional and not only answered all my questions but filled out all the information over the phone so I wouldn't have as much to do when we got there. Dan took care of us from the moment we walked in. To say the least, they made a very difficult and unpleasant situation as comfortable as possible and the level of compassion and empathy that was bestowed far exceeded my expectations! Dan really helped ease my sons anxiety and he left knowing his baby was in good hands. They were phenomenal, in every aspect, from the first time I called to when we left. Last week I lost my very first dog and best friend, almost 18 years old. He was not a pet, he was family. My vet told me about PALS because I knew I wanted him cremated individually. I cried through the whole paperwork process over the phone and Daniel was very kind and understanding. Everyone was so very nice, introduced themselves and let me know what to expect about the process (I wanted a privately witnessed event). They had tissues, candles, water, and warm blankets to say good-bye. Ray managed the cremation and was easy to talk to, respectful of my pet baby, and took excellent paw and ink prints for me. It was a wonderful way to say my final good byes. I appreciated that there was absolutely no up-selling. I found the standard cedar box with the little diary lock and engraved heart shaped tag to be a very sweet presentation. I highly recommend PALS. They provide an excellent service and I will be using them again for all my future pets. read more
