I can't thank Lasting Paws enough for making our experience a very pleasant experience. Our 21 year old cat had been blind for 4 years, she suffered from a heart condition, had arthritis and was going senile. We made a very hard decision to have her put down. Lasting Paws came to our home where we knew Oreo would be comfortable. They went over the details and explained what was going to happen and made certain it was what we wanted to do. In the most recent experience, I engaged with them directly as I dropped the pet off after death and picked up the remains soon after. I am a customer of Paradise pet Hospital, and my dog passed away. This was the only alternative company that I had to use as I did not want to remove her body from where she was because of my loss of my dog it would hurt even more to keep removing her from place to place so I opt use their third company. The fee was $409.86 which included the urn and a ceramic paw print. I know the prices were the prices, but the product that I received for the urn was at Piece of poop for the price. I never expected to receive one in plastic. It reminds me of putting someone in Pottersfield in a pine box. What is a pet? A pet is a friend and a companion, but most importantly, a pet is a family member. The loss of a pet is incredibly sad. The loss of a pet two days before Christmas is devastating. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to me at the end of 2019. I lost my beloved cat, Lexi, after a long illness. She died at home, on her terms, surrounded by her family. Fortunately, it happened early on a Monday morning - I was able to take her to her veterinarian (San Tan Animal Hospital), where they cared for her body, and sent her out for her cremation service. I picked her up Friday of that week, and was very pleased with the presentation and care of her remains. As you can see in my photos, everything is labeled with her name and a barcode - the outer box, wooden urn, and the remains themselves. Out of respect for Lexi, I won't show a photo of her remains. I will tell you that they are neatly bagged, and that the plastic bag has the same barcoded label. This is a tough review to write - I wasn't going to do it, but I think it's important to show how respectful Lasting Paws was with my Lexi. Should you be in the unfortunate situation of having to deal with the loss of a pet, I would highly recommend using this company. Goodbye, Lexi - I hope to see you again someday. I was out of town when my dog, Jethro, passed away. I am a Retired USAF Veteran and I know the meaning of "Great" customer service. Smeddy, Brittany, and Abdella at Lasting Paws gave me just that; "Exceptional" and "Outstanding" customer service. My little son Rocky passed on February 18th 2021. Myheart was devastated and crushed. His pancreatic cancer spread rapidly and I had to put him down. I did the in home euthanasia through "Fetch A Vet", I wanted him to go at peace at home; Dr. Brown and her staff were amazing, thoughtful, and compassionate; just like Smeddy, Brittany, and Abdella. I've been very distraught since my little son Rocky has passed. Rocky has been in my life 16 1/2 years and he was more than a pet. He was my second Son. We had a long journey since I found out about his illnesses (pancreatic cancer, diabetes, and kidney disease) back in September of 2020. Rocky and I have been visiting his primary care doctor, Oncologist, Internal Medicine, and his Cardiologist sometimes 2 - 3 times a week for the past 5 months. It was very stressful, but I was not giving up on his care. I've tried every medication possible; prescription and natural. I wanted to make sure he had the best care and best medications for all of his illnesses. I've talked to Smeddy at least 10 times over the phone when I knew Rocky's health was decreasing. He made me feel comforted every time we spoke and that my little son Rocky would be in the best hands and they would take care of him. I went to visit Rocky at your crematory on February 22nd 2021 before he was cremated. We spent 2 1/2 hours in my truck. Even though it was just his body and his spirit was in heaven I needed that time with him. Brittany had wrapped him beautifully in a basket with his blanket and toys when we spoke on February 19th 2021 awaiting my arrival on February 22nd 2021. She texted me a picture of Rocky after she wrapped him in the basket; greatly appreciated. Smeddy brought out my little son Rocky to me on February 22nd 2021. He was laid out so beautiful, he look like a little angel. From step 1 to step 10 Smeddy took his time with helping me get through a very difficult time, answered all my questions, and gave me impeccable knowledge on the whole crematory process; the service I received was "Exemplary". Rocky was cremated on February 23rd 2021. He was cremated with his favorite blanket and some of his favorite toys. I organized his toys and blanket when I visited him on February 22nd 2021. At my time of deepest sorrow Lasting Paws assisted me through the worst time in my life losing my little son Rocky; a compassionate group of employees. Smeddy was very helpful in assisting me even after Rocky had passed. I will never forget you and what you've done for me and my little son Rocky. Rocky came home on February 26th 2021. Dr. Brown from Fetch a Vet delivered Rocky to me in a beautiful urn. I miss him dearly every day. My healing will take time, but most importantly...he's not suffering anymore. I know God is taking care of my little Son. He was the "Greatest Son Ever." Rocky knows I'll always Love Him. Smeddy, Brittany, and Abdella were wonderful to me during this very trying time. I truly appreciated everything that Smeddy, Brittany, and Abdella did. They went above and beyond for me; thank you for all your kindness and gratitude. Do not let these people anywhere near your pet. My service animal had to be put down on October 13th. We paid nearly $600 for his cremation and an Urn that had a plaque with his name on it. We received his remains and the Urn. They did not put the plaque on his urn. We went back and forth with them for three days! They took zero accountability and gave several different answers all of which they blamed someone else. I asked several times for them to send the urn I ordered with his plaque attached. They demanded I drive accross town and return the urn they sent to them. Then they changed and offered to send me the plaque for me to attach as some sort of do it yourself pet memorial after paying them to do it. I declined as I have already suffered enough. I sent one last email asking them to send the urn with the plaque attached and include a return label for the urn they did not attach plaque on. Two days later I received a new urn just like the other with no plaque attached instead it was in a plastic bag for me to treat the memorial of my deceased service animal as some sort of do it yourself project. They included a letter saying they could not accept the other urn they previously demanded I return. The urn they sent was still not the memorial I paid for just a $600 do it yourself pet memorial. At this point I am at a loss they have caused my family so much pain, disrespected our grief and our Handsome boy. There has to be something done to hold them accountable for the damage they did to my family . I plan to pursue all available remedies and resources against them. read more

My dog past in the middle of the night on early Sunday morning. I found Lasting Paws on the inter net and they had a live person, Jessie, who answered the phone. Absolutely grateful that there was no recording even though it was 8am Sunday morning. The compassion from Jessie at 8 am was enough to get me to stop crying. He took down the important information. Next he let me know what time the pick up of the remains of Roger, my Standard poodle would be. Pick up time was within the hour, which was spectacular. Joshua, the removal driver, called me in less than 45 minutes and told me he was in my driveway and he was ready to do the removal. Talk about compassion, Josh contain the sensitivity of a saint. The removal took 5 minutes. This was just enough time to make our final farewell to our boy Roger. Five stars all the way. One word to describe Lasting Paws is COMPASSION.
