Do not recommend this company for landscaping. Seems like a fly by night company and they got us. If I could have them pull up the entire back yard and refund my money I would. We started this process in April and was told it would be a week long project... they finally completed the project in June. We had MANY hiccups, the project manager Devin was nice but horrible communication. He blamed everything on others when 95% of the errors were due to his lack of communication and effort. We had to hound him to come out to our property to speak about what was going on and so he could physically see the errors that were made. He would tell us that he would be out and then never show up, no call nothing. We received two total different sizes of river rocks, but it wasn't worth the hassle of having them take it back because the workers (who rarely knew what they were supposed to be doing) already began laying them. I had to go out and have them hide the larger rocks on the side of the house instead of mixing them in with the smaller rocks. Our turf was laid incorrectly and they sent out the workers to fix it 3 times, if Devin would have just showed up the first time to check their work it could have been prevented but he was just so busy that he didn't have time even though there were multiple jobs going on in our neighborhood that he had time to go to. Worst customer service I have ever received, even down to the receptionist. Go spend your money with another landscape company and save yourself the headache. read more

When we purchased our home in Mesa it was a fixer upper to say the least, I didn't know where to start! Luckily I found Latch's number through a coworker and I am so glad because they were able to provide everything I wanted to do with remodeling my home without me needing to sit on the phone all day finding contractor! Latch did an amazing job on my backyard project recently! They extended my porch, added pavers and also added a significant amount of artificial turf grass to the yard. Everything turned out great, took a little longer then estimated but I was okay with that. I wanted things to be done correctly and not rushed. I understand COVID had played its part for taking a while. Devon was my guy and he did a marvelous job checking in and making sure I was happy with the work. We had a lot of work done to our house and I'm happy we went with Latch. Ask for Devon he's a great guy and listens to what you're looking for. We just bought our first house and Latch reached out right away. We were able to have our kitchen counters and sink replaced and also used them to connect us with a pest control company. The people at Latch have been kind and professional. They communicated often and were responsive. Things were a little disjointed at times due to COVID-19 but, we are very satisfied with the experience and the final product. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. In the beginning all sounded very good. After my initial meeting with one of their employees an appointment was made for someone to come to my home. No one showed up, they didn't even call. After a week we called them to see if anyone would come. The person who came was not very knowledgeable about the processes of how the turf or anything was laid. When he left he said someone would call to make an appointment and no one did yet again . Two weeks later no calls or emails no contact we called the finance company to close our account and they took the money from the account but never came to do the work. This business was sloppy and its sad that the consumer would have to be after someone who is trying to sell services. I now have closed my account and have gotten a full refund but it is still upsetting to pay someone for something and then have to go chase them to figure out what is going on. Do not recommend to anyone find someone who cares. read more

They continue to ignore our calls, block our numbers, and pawn us off on people who a day later "don't work for the company anymore". Wished zero stars were an option 1 00 is too generous. Absolutely as unprofessional as it gets. Starts out great, in person bid, tells you he wants to work with you and says all the right things. After he leaves, forget it. He will take much longer on the bid than he says, and then it gets better. He will completely ghost you when you give the green light. No return calls, no return texts, no decline on the job as a professional would do. Completely immature and as unprofessional as I've ever seen. Beware. This company is a joke, and has a horrible business model. They cold-called me, and I actually was in the market for new window treatments for five windows, and they scheduled me for an in-home quote. The employee arrived on time (you have to give him that), but then would not measure any of our windows or give us a quote unless we promised we would do business with this company when he left. We told him we wanted to be transparent and that we were in the process of getting several quotes, and that if his quote was the best and we liked what he had to say, then yes, we would use this company. He wouldn't proceed unless we gave him a firm "yes" before hearing any pricing or material information. So he left without doing anything. Look, Latch: I wouldn't go to a car lot and promise to buy a car before hearing the price. This is ridiculous. You cold called me, looking for leads. The website reads "- Free in-home consultation - No commitments - Risk free - Free custom quote." This all turned out to be false advertising. Your business model sucks. read more

Latch did an amazing job in my new house. I did a whole house remodel including my back yard. The final project was everythingI imagined.

A 2 week job turned into a 2 month job. It was a bathroom remodel. I had everything ripped out and had the vast majority of the supplies needed already on site, so they literally just needed to show up and put everything in place. The workers would go days without showing up and wouldn't give any indication of when they would be back. So my wife had to stay home everyday waiting to see if they would show. The work was subpar in my opinion and a few things had to be redone more than once. Instead of installing the new fans they just screwed the new covers over the old fans. They left all of the trash. Before the job was finished the project manager was hounding me for the remainder of the agreed upon price. He also started the process of placing a lien on my house which seems pretty unprofessional given the job wasn't complete and I was in no way trying to avoid paying them, just wasn't going to hand them a check before the job was finished. After getting tired of dealing with them and their shotty work I finally decided to sign the form and give them their check. I had to go behind them and touch up a few things myself to make it look the way it should. Stay far away from this company. read more

Lousy quality of work. Dan was there quick to sign contracts and to collect money but when it was time to get the work done they were no where to be found.Many calls to Dan were never returned, It was one excuse after another why they didn't come to get the job done. When they started the project there workers Latch + Dan sent were very inexperienced and did a very messy job and had to be replaced in the middle of the project. The material bought looked cheap. We constantly complained by phone and asked for Dan or someone to look at the poor job that was being done but no one would come out to look. I paid half upfront and the job is 2 months past contract date but Latch Construction had the nerve to try to take money, for the next payment, out of my account without my permission, very shady? They did not live up to there agreement but wanted the money anyways. Dan himself appears to be a nice guy and that's why I went with his company but a bad mistake on my part. I do not recommend Latch for any job that I have again. read more

A followup to first review for Latch. A gentleman by name of Keith got a hold of me to try to make things right and was very apologetic for the way things occurred. He assured me he would send out a project manager to assist me if I would give them another chance to give me a quote. I did. Keith did send out a gentleman by name of Daniel, who was very kind and respectful and wanted to make things right. I explained what happened and I told him the few projects we are considering (would like) to do in our home: Small kitchen subway tile project, a bathroom extension - providing a shower in a 1/2 bath, and allowed him to measure for a shutter quote. he was very kind and was very efficient and thorough in drawing up plans. Now just awaiting the estimates for each project. Anxious to see how good rates will be and if we can continue to move forward with Latch/Daniel with any of the desired projects. read more
