I notified them multiple times that I met my deductible for 2024 when the surgery happened. They dropped my credit score 150 points. This companies billing practices are corrupt. When I asked for a bill prior to an office visit they would not tell me how much it would cost until I was in the office for the scheduled visit. They said it would be +$500 for just the 10 minute office visit. When I complained they dropped it to ~$360 automatically. When I asked for a bill to be sent to me they demanded I pay immediately and even blocked my exit. Now this billing and collections are over the top. Despite a great surgery this place is terrible for their costs and billing. I would never go here again and regret my choice for this office. Avoid Austin ENT at all costs.

I got there with plenty of time to fill out the quick intake forms, and the staff was friendly and helpful with check in. I then had to wait over an HOUR to even be taken back, then waited another 20 mins before Dr. Butler saw me for all of 5 mins. Not a single acknowledgment from anyone about running behind or having to wait so long to be seen. Especially for a first impression, this was pretty unacceptable. Won't be coming back.

SEE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS In 2024 I contacted Dr Anthony Bittar to repair a deviated septum so I could breath properly internally through my nose. A very simple procedure. He made a comment in our meeting "do you want me to remove the bump on your nose's bridge at the same time. Just to make it flat" That is all that was ever mentioned. "I will just slightly shave down that bump at the same time". He made it sound like nothing. I came out of surgery and he had completely changed the size and shape of my nose. He assured me it was just swelling and that would go down. After having 3 different respected surgeons inspect what he did. They all were shocked at his work and what he did without prior approval. 1) He excessively flattened the dorsum (bridge of the nose), resulting in an unnatural and concave profile. 2) He added cartilage to the tip of my nose--an unrequested change he later admitted to--which created a permanent large, bulbous appearance. 3) He significantly altered the overall size and structure of my nose All these things were decisions he made without my consent. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN Read his reviews by sorting them by 1 star and believe them. He subsequently offered to 1) refund me half of my money 2) do the operation again and 3) install semi permanent filler in my nose. Total admission of guilt. All I refused. How could I ever trust him again. Once you are on the operating table he does what he likes. None of the above was ever agreed to. The whole time he gas lights with all his communication. I now have to go through the expense and pain of having surgery again to fix his horrible horrible work. I currently have complaints submitted to the Texas Medical Board, other malpractice entities and his affiliated hospital credentialing boards.

Dr Taylor Shepherd, whom I have been relying on for over twelve years, performed the surgery. The office staff and the PA all worked togther seamlessly to make sure I was well-cared for at all times. His staff listened to and worked with me regarding my concerns about the anaesthesia used. They were super available for any and all questions. The medical assistants conveyed the correct answers everytime. Dr Shephed told me what to expect in advance and he and his peeps delivered as promised. Everyone was kind and Dr Shepherd did his work in my sinus surgery with skill and care. The enviroment was relaxed enough that we could all continue talking pretty comfortably throughtout. Pain was minimal and the outcome is great! I can breathe more freely and the frequent aching and discomfort in my forehead and between my eyes is gone, its such a relief! Id like also to commend Austin EENT for being very proactive for their patients during covid, reaching out and keeping us informed of all the changes during that time. I observed them doing all safety protocols with care. I have benefitted greatly from Dr Shepherd's treatment. In the past, an ear tube increased my hearing ability significantly and eliminated repeated problems in my ears. I highly reccomend Austin EENT Eiger Rd for all your EENT needs. Surgery was recommended to remove the affected parathyroid gland. Dr. Dammert clearly explained the procedure, and his office quickly scheduled my surgery. Some issues arose right before my surgery, requiring a cardiologist clearance, that threatened to cancel the procedure, but his nurse, Flora, was very responsive and helpful and agreed not to cancel it if I could get cleared in time. She worked with my cardiologist's office to get the necessary clearance, and she kept me informed. While I was awaiting surgery on the day of the procedure, I heard Dr. Dammert and others in the prep area comforting and entertaining a scared young child across the way from me who was also awaiting surgery. Dr. Dammert talked to me just before I was rolled into surgery, answered some questions, and then talked to me afterwards to tell me the procedure went well and gave me the results. He assured me someone in his office would be available at all times to answer calls after I went home. This was especially reassuring since my surgery was on a Friday. He called to check on me the day after surgery. Everything went well, and I highly recommend this doctor. He is very competent, professional, and best of all, he truly cares about his patients. Every person in his office that I dealt with was responsive, caring, and informative.

I chose this location because it's conveniently located by my home and overall, I've been very happy with the care I've received. The first appointment was long and arduous but necessary for the allergy testing and subsequently, all my follow-up, weekly injection appointments have been seamless. If doing immunotherapy (injections) you just walk-in during the posted hours, fill out a quick Google form, and get your shots. You do have to wait 30 minutes before you can leave and it can get busy so if possible it's best to try to plan your visit not during lunchtime hours when it can be busier. The staff are friendly and helpful and try their best to make you comfortable when in reality you feel a bit like a pin cushion. Overall, if you're an allergy sufferer and need support, this is a good option. I also have terrible insurance coverage but have been pleasantly surprised by the copays considering I do have to come in once a week for the immunotherapy.

I have been a patient at Aspire Allergy & Sinus (South Austin) since 2022, and unfortunately my…read moreexperience has been a range of excellent medical care and extremely frustrating care, billing and communication issues. On the positive side, I underwent sinus procedures with Dr. Thompson, and those results remain excellent after 3+years. However, my allergy treatment experience has been a completely different story. After testing positive to 55 out of 60 common Central Texas allergens, I spent three years on allergy drops with little to no improvement. During that time, I made numerous office visits and so many calls to the nurse line because I continued to struggle with significant symptoms. Most of the recommendations seemed to involve trying additional OTC antihistamines or yet another prescription nasal spray, including one that cost me $125 out of pocket. The only provider who consistently seemed invested in finding solutions and showed genuine concern for my situation was Dr. Overstreet. After three years without meaningful improvement, I decided to try Aspire's eXACT treatment. I paid $2,500 out of pocket because I was told insurance would not cover it. My understanding was that this fee covered three treatment sessions and a follow-up appointment three months after last shot. I was also told that if the treatment was unsuccessful, the series could be repeated at NO additional charge. This made the cost a little more bearable. My eXACT treatment appointments were paid for and all 4 were scheduled in advance during my annual visit in October 2025. I completed the series in January, and attended my follow-up appointment in April 2026 specifically to discuss whether the treatment had been successful. Unfortunately, I experienced no relief and actually endured one of my worst allergy seasons yet. During that follow-up visit with Anna Wendel, we discussed repeating the treatment at a higher dose. Because of symptoms I described, the provider wanted to rule out asthma before proceeding, so I was asked to complete a breathing test. At no point was I informed that this test would result in additional charges to me or my insurance company. I was shocked when I later saw a claim submitted to my insurance for more than $500 and then I received a bill from Aspire for approximately $160. When I contacted billing, Bailey was professional, helpful, and responsive. However, after reviewing the situation with the clinic, I was told that the visit had been coded as a problem-focused visit rather than the follow-up appointment that had been scheduled 6 months in advance as part of my treatment plan. I was promised a call from the office manager to discuss the situation. Almost a month later, I have yet to receive that call. Over the past 3+ years, I have spent well over $15,000 between insurance payments and out-of-pocket costs pursuing relief through Aspire. What disappoints me most is NOT that a treatment failed--medicine is not guaranteed--but that I was charged for services that I reasonably understood to be part of a pre-arranged treatment follow-up, and when I questioned it, communication stopped. I had my last shot today from the 2nd round of treatment and will never return to Aspire, nor will I pay a fraudulent invoice. I would not be writing this review if someone had simply addressed the concern, and admitted to the mistake in the coding of my visit and the billing of my insurance company when this was all marketed as covered in the $2500 eXACT one time fee. IMO these exude unprofessional and fraudulent behaviors. I encourage prospective patients to thoroughly research both the clinical and billing experiences (specifically BBB & Google reviews) before committing to long-term treatment at Aspire, as I am now learning this seems to be a normal practice of incorrect billing and ignoring their patient's calls.

Excellent Hernia Repair-- I'm Ready to Play Again Like Odell Beckham Jr !…read more In getting a flat repaired the tire had to be replaced and so I didn't wait but just brought it home from NTB to remount the wheel myself. The wheel didn't want to sit still as I screwed on the lug nuts and so I needed to hold it there. This took 2-3 minutes. I was squatting, slightly hunched over, and putting high pressure on my right groin area. I finally completed the job, hand-tightening all the lug nuts and lowered the car to drive off to work. The next day I experienced a groin pain while running outdoors. This recurred throughout the rest of the week. It always happened after significant leg exercise and too after long walking. While I initially thought it might be a groin strain, the persistence led me to believe it was an inguinal hernia. I performed the "cough test", visited Dr. Ash, and found out I was right. We elected to do the repair asap because my exercise is important to me. Note that if you wait too long the intestinal incarceration can worsen to the point of strangulation, and then you have an emergency visit to the hospital with a huge bill. By using a local outpatient surgery center (Stonegate on William Cannon), the surgery happened affordably and quickly. Now, a year later I'm in super shape from regular exercise. Mind you, I have modified that : I sold my racing bike and purchased an Elliptigo stand-up bicycle to avoid putting "Lance Armstrong-like crunch pressure" on the hernia site (Dr. Ash installed a plug under the mesh, so the former you can feel if you or some object pushes hard on your groin). The scar is quite feint, but I don't mind a "war wound". In recuperating from surgery I used no drugs because I immediately began walking around carefully with a cain. After about 8 weeks I was cain-free and fast walking with being able to half-speed run at 10 weeks. At 12 weeks I was back up to full speed, including rowing (a non-crunch exercise). Dr. Ash remarked that she had to install a plug that was significantly wider than she expected, so she believes my wheel replacement did *not* cause the hernia : I worked out in a gym throughout the 90's and probably started the tear there. Since then it only became worse and the wheel replacement took advantage of it to push the intestine up and through. Dr. Ash not only healed me, but enlightened me so I will henceforth live very differently so no hernia will happen elsewhere. My advice to anyone changing car wheels is always sit on a stool. And buy an Elliptigo.
