Feel like it's probably underrated in the Bloomingdale area, but so good! Went on a Sunday for lunch and I called them seeing if we would need reservations, but not that busy so you could just walk in with your party right away. To start they give you bread with this green sauce that was so good. It was like vinegar, cilantro, garlic, and a little bit of spice kicked in together and it actually paired really well with the Cuban bread. We didn't get any cocktails, but some of the tables near us did and they look so good. I mean Hispanic places are known to have really good drinks. I feel especially with tequila so I would definitely try one next time. Bistec churrasco - 10/10. Tender, thin cuts of steak cooked perfectly medium like asked. The chimichurri sauce and the onions just topped it off. And I love that. It comes with two sides of your choice. Tilapia- 8/10. Good but I felt like the actual tilapia itself had little flavor unless you put the onions/sauce on top and mix it with your sides. Bistec milanesa- 7/10. basically a steak Parmesan. It was good but it tasted like an Italian dish paired with Latin sides, Yes it's pricey but the serving is big! Easily 1.5-2 person meals per plate. Yellow rice- plenty quantity but kind of bland on its own. Black beans- good. Plantains- good but only 3 pieces for a side item was kind of small. Return? Yes, definitely trying the Lomo saltado with other sides and a cocktail for sure next time. Recommend? Yes

Great place for latin grilled steak. The service was quick and friendly. Steak was decent and the portion was big. We really enjoyed our food there and will be back.

If you are wanting to take a brunch to a whole new level then you must come here! Reservations are needed. This place is such a good vibe where you can have brunch then be entertained by smal segments of show girls, singers, etc that come out. They have a dance floor in the middle where you can later dance. Of course me and my friends did so! They also have a dj that plays music. Latin music and a variety of music. The food is a 50/50. First time I came the French toast wasn't that great. The 2nd time I ordered Cazuela De Houevas Y Chorizo with unlimited mimosas. It was perfect. Had a nice spice and flavor to it. Service can be slower.

This place was so packed there was no parking. Food was amazing. I had Chucharron appetizer with potatoes. I has left over for dinner and lunch the next day. Coconut Mojito was a 10 out of 10 delicious and packed with flavors. Server was very good, checked on us making everything was good, made recommendations that was very tasteful. Ambiance was nice. There was a photographer that captured our moment and even took one with just the kids. We would definitely be back

Recently went there with my father. Upon entering the atmosphere was decent with a warm welcome from the waitresses. The food was okay while being on the pricey side. However, the service was excellent.

Service was absolutely horrendous. Nayeli paid no attention as soon as she dropped the food she disappeared never to ask if we needed anything or if it was right Multiple things were wrong and missing It wasnt until her coworkers told her to check on our table and then they came and asked what we were missing that she came. Food was not good and ambience was ok at best.

Awesome local place. Amazing Lomo saltado, croquettes, and food all around. Love the ambience in there as well as their margaritas. Nice big portions too

Good food but prices don't match online and at the place. Our waitress was very polite. The ambiance was very pleasant.

This paella is good for three, maybe 4 and is so delicious, just like my pineapple ginger monito. Banda Fonseca on Fri is great. We had a great time.

Wow i haven't been to this location in a long time and now i need to visit more often. The food here at Latin Grill is really great. The portions are huge and the Cuban flavors are what make it. The green sauce is always a nice touch and has enough kick to enhance your dish and the complementary bread. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. She spoke English and Spanish. In the later part of the evening on Saturday, they do have a live band and that's when the party starts. If you find yourself in the area, stop by for some good food for sure.

I really enjoyed myself! Apparently it turns into a club some nights or maybe the club turns into a restaurant-- idk, but it was a decent time. We came for a birthday with a rather large party and our waitress was great. For my friends birthday, they bring out the sparklers and flag of your country, it was cute. The drinks were really good and they had a Happy Hour going. I ordered the Steak Lomo and ate it so fast I didn't get a picture but trust me it was SOOOO good!! Can't wait to go back!

Open just two years, the hours are Mon & Tues 11:30 AM to 7 PM; Thurs/Fri/Sat 11:30 AM to 9 PM; & Sunday 11:30 AM to 5 PM. The restaurant is closed on Wed. A big fan of Oxtail, the tender Oxtail (Rabo Encendido Al Vino) @ $19.95 that arrived @ our table was soaking in a bath of special wine sauce. It was the BEST Oxtail I've EVER TASTED. I cannot wait to return for a second helping! The two sides I selected (rice & pinto beans) were unbelievably delicious-- so flavorful (see pic). The "Iconic Columbian Dish," which is Bandeja Paisa, @ $18.95 was also EXCELLENT. You MUST SEE THE PHOTO! It was a HUGE entree that consisted of bacon, grilled steak, rice, beans, fried egg, pork rind, chorizo, maduro, arepa, & avocado. (The steak was especially tender & delicious.) Be prepared to take home lots of leftovers! The Fried Calamari (Calamares) appetizer @ $10.95 was very good-- not at all chewy. The Yuca Fries included in it were GREAT, & the Sweet Plantains side was good. We are excited to Return & Return & Return so we can once again order the sides of rice & beans; try the Arepa Con Queso appetizer; the Stewed Goat; Milanesa Pork Loin; Grilled Skirt Steak; Yellow Rice w/ Chicken; & one or more of the five delicious-sounding Monfongos (a Puerto Rican plantain dish). Oh, & of course once again enjoy more Oxtail & the Iconic Columbian Dish! There are three desserts on the menu: Tres Leches; Flan de Leche; & Flan de Maracuya @ $4 to $4.50. Beverages include Columbian & American sodas; juices; Lemonade; Iced Tea; Bottled Water; 5 Coffees; 1 Tea; & Pony Malta (a nonalcoholic energy drink). There are DAILY LUNCH SPECIALS that range from $9.95 to $12.50. They include soup on Mon, Tues, Sat, & Sun; Stewed Chicken on Thurs; & Sautéed Beef/Chicken on Fri. (Tripe is the Sunday soup.) The dining room holds 10 tables; it was very clean. The interior decor is casual & comfortable, & the clientele is mainly from Columbia & Puerto Rico (according to Manager Fabian). We were the only Caucasians seated here @ the time. I am optimistic that once word speads about the quality of the food, more diners will choose to eat here. It's truly a SUPERIOR restaurant. Although the chef gets a loud round of applause for his immense talent, Manager Fabian was also impressive! I had never before seen a restaurant manager work so hard beside his staff. He was front & center assisting w/ every aspect of the business. He also took the time to approach every table to assure there were no customer concerns. Amazed w/ our food, we spoke w/ him at least three times. He answered our menu questions & checked on our service. Just an incredible person to manage a restaurant! There's no question we'll return! Five days later I finished my Oxtail w/ rice & beans. It all tasted just as DELICIOUS on Day 5 as it did the day I ordered it. That speaks VOLUMES!

The chicken was very good but I would not order the doughnuts and salad again. It was takeout so…read morecan't comment on service and ambiance.

Overall, this was definitely an excellent discovery even though it's been here awhile. Customer service friendly, courteous and patient, delicious food and great prices! Menus available on-line as well as on table upon entry and satisfies varieties of taste palates. Orders placed at counter for dining-in or take-out. If dining in, food is delivered to your table. Seating is spacious. Also noticed there appears to be another room on inside perhaps for private or larger parties. Parking is plentiful with ramp close to entrance. Ordered a bowl of Caldo Gallego (Spanish bean) soup -- it was delicious. Also ordered the lunch special Pescado a La Rusa which came with black beans and yellow rice (I requested sides of chopped onions & vinegar) - no up charge. The order came with cuban bread and olive butter. Lunch special is a very generous portion Spanish-style whitefish filet, yellow rice complemented by small cups of seasoned black beans (plus onions & vinegar as requested). Leftover portions of bread, fish, black beans and yellow rice placed in take-home two containers and enjoyed for breakfast. My guests each ordered the cuban sandwich (A La Pancha) hot pressed. Both orders were cut in half (thankfully) as each sandwich was large and also quite satisfying. One sandwich was completely devoured, the second guest needed a take-home container for the second half. Bottomline: La Septima is a Brandon gem. The menu, flavorful foods, customer service and comfortable setting, location and costs are very competitive. Other than water, beverage options include Coke products, coffee plus sweet/unsweet tea or Spirits. La Septima is located at 702 W Lumsden Rd in the Via Viva Plaza on the northwest corner of Lumsden Rd and Kings Ave intersection. Special offers also include catering packages for large and small events, parties and various festivities or special occasions. Desserts also available. Hours are Monday - Saturday from 11:00am - 8:00pm; (813) 685-0502
