I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. The Cuban sandwich was very tasty. The homemade roast pork on the sandwich is delicious. It's a very generous portion, and a very good value. Unfortunately, it was drowning in butter or margarine. I normally would never complain about too much butter. I love butter! This was overkill, and it made the sandwich very greasy, rich, and heavy. It didn't sit well in my stomach. I'd go back and order the same sandwich again, but it would have to be light on the butter spread. It was just A LOT. You don't need that much butter to give it a nice press. Maybe that's why I haven't been back in such a long time. I couldn't remember the reason. I may go back to get a roast pork platter or ropa vieja next time. The prices here are good. read more

I'm not wild about the service, but don't much care. Food was served in a timely manner and it was very hot. They were right, the Pallomila Steak was a nice surprise. The Empanadas I sampled were flakey and flavourful. A bit light on the meat; I tried the Ropa Vieja and it was the same story, but still a knock out flavour. When I first walked in I was like this is a cute store I loved the decoration but the walls needed to be repainted it was peeling. I chose the roast pork, yuca and red beans. I can confirm what other reviewers wrote, you will get a huge amount of food, for $12 this lunch plate is easily enough for 2 meals.
