I bought a bicycle sometime back at REI, and it did me very very well. I'm on a "road trip", so I didn't buy anything today. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but hey, you get what you pay for. If you are an REI member, you get offers, and discounts throughout the year, and a rebate in the form of a gift card based on the amount that you spend every year. Not a bad deal. They also offer free clinics on outdoor equipment use and repair. They also have great end of season sales. I bought a CVT rooftop tent off of Facebook marketplace which didn't come with the mounts. I didn't…read moreknow exactly what I should do because I was just getting into the roof stuff. I had them install a rack which went flawlessly and I love it. I also ended up buying the mounts from them which I didn't even know I needed until they explained it to me. Very informative at the main store. I went over to the other store to pick up the mounts and when I tried installing them, it didn't fit on my tent. Very close just a bit to snug. I went back to the store and asked them if there was anything they could do. Turns out, it wasn't the mount that didn't fit, just the rails on the tent were a little warped. In the same visit, they belt sanded my 8 pieces of the mount which after trying to mount the tent again, went perfectly. Very appreciative of their willingness to help me out especially because I didn't know much. Wouldn't recommend anywhere else to do stuff for your car and truck racks.
