Nice hipster spot with a chill vibe located in Columbus Texas. Was pleasantly surprised at the large selection of different coffee beans they had to offer. I ordered an iced coffee and a turkey, bacon, avocado panini from the friendly staff. The iced coffee was very good, but the panini wasn't my favorite. The focaccia bread was good, but I didn't think there was a high enough filling:bread ratio. I will probably come back for the coffee if I find myself driving through the area again. read more

I'm originally from Columbus and now live in Chicago. I'm in town visiting family and my mom told me to check this place out. I've been back for coffee or food every day since. I've enjoyed the turkey, bacon, and avocado panini for lunch as well as the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich for breakfast. Both were delicious and done just right. Latte is always a good stop for me before I work for the weekend! I like it sit in here and work on school work on Friday and Saturday evenings. I enjoy that the staff is almost always the same when I am there. I usually just get a triple americano but as a Pine Cove Staffer we have staff getting all kinds of drinks and lattes all the time. Wouldn't stop here for coffee. Ordered a cappuccino. It was not close to a cappuccino based on espresso to milk ratio.. probably closer to a latte. Barista couldn't figure out how to get the portafilter in the espresso machine. Didn't wipe clean the milk steamer after use. Not a good sign. I don't know about you but I love finding little hole in the wall gems. Latte Cafe is one of those little gems. While on our way to Austin, my husband and I decided to pop in for lunch. I had a green tea along with a Garden Quiche and side salad. My husband had a Chicken Salad sandwich with a side of pasta salad. Both of our trays were picked clean. The fresh, flaky and buttery quiche was phenomenal! I cannot speak for my husband but we have already decided we will be taking random trips to Columbus (from downtown Houston) for lunch! Dropped in by chance the other day. How lucky we were to stumble on such a good coffee shop! The prices are reasonable, and it was busy with locals coming in for lunch. When locals love it, you know it's good. I got a medium iced chai and immediately regretted it. I really should've gotten the large! It was so good! I don't know if they put cocaine in the mix but I've never had a chai that good before. Anyway, my friend got 5 shots of espresso over ice. Our bill came out to like, $8. Which wouldn't have covered much if we'd gone to a bigger coffee chain. This place is a bit off of the highway but it is worth the stop! The breakfast paninis are excellent!!! They were very fresh and tasty. Plus, I'm a big fan of the extra veggies they added. I would definitely stop here again if traveling back and forth between Houston and San Antonio. The coffee tastes very good too! Parking was a bit difficult as they were fairly busy during the lunch rush, but we all know that is a good sign. This place has a small hometown feel. FYI, they do have a drive through! read more

I could probably spend half a day in here trying their menu. Plenty to choose from and the coffee is good. Don't have to add anything sweet to the coffee which means its made right. Not bitter. I believe they use a toddy to make the coffee. I personally like toddys as that brew method makes stronger coffee. Of course its nice to have a bit of sweet added to the coffee. My husband and I were doing what it appears most every other reviewer of Latte on the Square was doing - driving through Columbus from one place to another. I was in need of coffee! Fortunately my husband found Latte on the Square on Yelp and we popped right in midday on a Monday. It's a small coffee shop but at the time of my visit there were three other patrons already seated and there was still plenty of room for us to sit if we weren't itching to get back on the road. I ordered a large iced mocha and after paying $4.75 the barista got to work and I started perusing. I instantly regretted placing my order so quickly. There were yummy muffins and scones and ice cream and sandwiches and all kinds of deliciousness I could have ordered, but I didn't want to place a second order so I took my drink and we left. But mark my words, I will be back for those treats. I'm glad I let the iced mocha sit for a while to let the chocolate meld with the coffee as it tasted much better once it was all mixed together. Pretty tasty and a large portion, even though I cringed at the $4.75 price tag (coffee is an expensive habit). If you're looking for this place, it's on the left in the shopping center just past the Whataburger. We went down one building too far and into the medical center, but made a U-turn and came back one building. Definitely stop in on your way by - it's a nice place to grab a snack or a drink and stretch your legs. read more

This place was amazing!!! Stopped in on my way from Houston to Austin. Quaint cafe with a great selection. I had the chicken salad sandwich with pasta on the side. The bread had oregano and some other spices that really made the bread taste amazing. The actual chicken salad was just as yummy and light! The soup of the day was tomato bisque which was equally delicious. They have a great variety of loose leaf tea and a superb green tea matcha drink.
