The location is easy to find, and access, with adequate street parking. Katz coffee is served, which we learned to really enjoy after touring their roasting location in Houston. I was disappointed in the Ruben sandwich. Mind you, it was served warm as most are, but after eating Reubens from delis with lots of meat, from the photos you can see that my Reuben from here had a skimpy serving of meat. Additionally, I thought that the menu had it at one price and the register rung it up as $1.00 higher. I found that it is a dollar more for a salad. It comes standard with chips. That's reasonable to me and I thought that the salad was good. My spouse had the burger, and she enjoyed it. She liked that it came with a choice of fries or a healthy salad. We went exploring in Schulenburg, a cute little town right near Weimar, Texas. They are located by other stores, which we didn't stop by to see cause it started pouring rain when we got there. They do have plenty of parking spaces though. We needed some good coffee, so we stopped by Tille's Cafe. It has a really cute interior, and I ordered an Iced Hot & Dirty, which is a Chai Latte with a shot of espresso. I swapped the milk for oat milk, and I was impressed, it was delicious!! The bathrooms are very clean. The staff was friendly. They serve food as well, though we didn't stay to eat. I did notice others enjoying their meals and reading inside! I stopped in for a break from a long road trip and was pleasantly surprised after the first cafe in town I tried was closed. They were open their posted hours and the team here were very friendly as well as the regulars hanging out. I got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the drip coffee -both of which I really enjoyed. As most places, you can get refills on the drip and I took one cup to go. Came through Schulenberg for a weekend visit and found this place on Yelp. In a town where there are not an overabundance of options, this spot was absolutely perfect. There is a coffeehouse feel to the place with really cool decor. We were able to sit at the big table in the back and the staff was very accommodating with our littles. The food was so good. Our entire group was so happy to try this cafe. I got the banh mi burger and it was perfect. The flavor was amazing (with just the right amount of kick to it). Coffees were great and again, the staff was so friendly and even gave us recommendations on where to go while in town. Overall a perfect experience. read more

What an unexpected treat! We stopped by for lunch, based on Yelp reviews. They have moved a couple of doors down to a newer location in a reclaimed older building with a clean, industrial chic feel. I had the Cuban sandwich and garlic fries, and it was all delicious. My wife ate the burger on a gluten free bun, which was way above average for gluten free. Tillie's was a delightful surprise! :) I'm from out-of-town visiting a dear friend. I was assigned the task of finding a local lunch spot in a particular radius of errands. I used both Google Maps & Yelp. We didn't know quite what to expect overall. With owners that are interior designers, the ambiance is pleasant and that contributes to enjoyment of the overall experience of dinning there. The staff was gracious and kind. The menu: appetizing. It reflects specialties and is concise. The food: delicious! A direct representation of what is described on the menu. Bon appetite! The cibatta bread is tasty in itself. The sandwich was amazing. I have been coming to Schulenburg for 14 of the 16 years I've been in my career and Tillies is a welcome addition to the town. We were in town to pick up some work equipment at lunchtime and it was the only place that had a vegan option that wasn't a boring salad. It's located in a downtown storefront and it's beautiful on the inside, simple and elegant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I got the vegan veggie wrap with garlic fries, my husband got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich with garlic fries. The food was so delicious and my husband is hard to impress when it comes to food, he kept commenting the entire meal about how good it was.
