It is definitely a "cozy" spot--it's essentially standing room only--but the vibe is incredibly friendly and welcoming. It feels like a true neighborhood gem. I ordered the Mexican Mocha, and it was delicious! It had a great balance of spice and sweetness. However, I do wish they offered a traditional Café de Olla (coffee with cinnamon and piloncillo) without the chocolate element. Sometimes you want those warm spices without it being a full-on mocha. Then there was the food, which was okay. We did get a cake slice at the end. All their baked goods are consistently good. We had checked the menu online before we met for lunch, so were very surprised to find no sandwiches, no salads, just breakfast items and bagels.​ It just wasn't the usual above average experience we were used to.
