Lilly's coffee house is located in the heart of the little town of Cambria and the perfect spot to fuel up on coffee and a light meal. The inside is very quaint with a perfect amount of small town charm. They have a lovely outdoor area with plenty of seating, perfect for catching up with loved ones. I ordered off the seasonal menu which was just perfect as I was in a pumpkin spice mood, and I split a blackberry bacon grilled cheese with my mom for a snack. It was very unique and flavorful. The staff are always very friendly and helpful which is great when I am stumped on what to get. Stopped by before heading to Hearst Castle and so glad I did! It's super tiny inside, but there's lot of seating outside. Workers were super helpful answering questions and were super friendly! Mediterranean Bagel (5/5 stars) - Never thought to do this flavor with a bagel but it works so well! It was so freshing and strong in flavor. Absolutely loved this! Caprese Panini (5/5) - This tasted so good, but I do wish the cheese was a little more melted. Matcha Latte no sugar added (5/5) - The matcha was actually mixed completely which other places usually have clumps. I can also taste the matcha, so they put enough in it! While on a mini vacation in Cambria we came here for breakfast and coffee. It was busy so it was a good sign. We ordered a breakfast burrito which was ok, wish there had potatoes in it. It was only eggs, cheese and avocado. My son got a breakfast panini which was delicious. My iced coffee tasted good, and my husband enjoyed his americano. The reviews mentioning bad service are no joke - service at the counter was rude, as though we were uninvited guests trodding into their home and bothering them. Truly a level of rude I didn't know you could be and still have a job. Breakfast burrito was 99% egg, 1% cheese and a whisper of avocado so faint you only knew it was there from the tiniest sliver of green along the tortilla's edge. I forgot it was supposed to have cheese until about half way through when I encountered the one bite with cheese in it. I truly was surprised - photos on here show burritos with more than just egg but my burrito and my friend's was all egg, nothing else. Coffee was reminiscent of decades ago when sugary syrups were necessary to mask the bitterness of a burned bean. You could smell how bad the coffee beans were as they were making the drinks. Sorry to say there's truly no reason to come here. read more

Cute little breakfast spot on a Main street in Cambria that's within walking distance from lots of little shops ( The Garden shed next door is so CUTE)!!!! There is limited seating indoors but plenty of seating outdoors perfect for enjoying the beautiful costal weather. Staff were kind and helpful with any menu questions and substitutions. Lots of options on the menu and plenty of drink options as well! As for what I ordered Breakfast burrito no meat was good just wish they would add some breakfast potatoes. Did come with a side of fruit which was very fresh and tasty! I have to say I was disappointed today when my friends and I went to Lily's for lunch. First, the staff lately has been almost surly and inefficient. The server took 2 of our lunch orders and left the 3rd person standing there waiting to place her order, while she prepared a coffee. She didnt call out the coffee, but it sat there till I got up for water and napkins. The difference in order placing time meant 2 of us got our toasts which got cold by the time the third order came. Then there was the food, which was okay. We did get a cake slice at the end. All their baked goods are consistently good. We had checked the menu online before we met for lunch, so were very surprised to find no sandwiches, no salads, just breakfast items and bagels.​ It just wasn't the usual above average experience we were used to. Lily's coffee house has a similar feel to Starbucks, but is friendlier with a small town atmosphere. The server Galen who was working on our visit on Thursday morning was super pleasant and friendly. Business was steady but it did not get crowded during our visit. It was quiet to average noise level. It seemed to be a mix of older regular customers and some tourists like us. The bagel sandwich was very good, but the breakfast burrito was just tastier. Depending on what you feel like, either will be a nice breakfast. Unfortunately, only decaf Americano , no regular decaf, if you want or need that. Good selection of unique pastries. There is a shared lot and street parking. Ask for the toilet--it is shared with another business. They currently close around 3:00. They have limited inside seating with plugs and more outdoor seating. Nice place to come study or read in the morning. Overall, a good cheaper alternative to the more formal sit down breakfast places in town. Food is made to order and so a little bit long wait times, so you might not save time over a sit down restaurant, but can take your food to go easier. We got a mocha and an English breakfast tea. Both were good. Worth trying their other coffees to see how they are. Definitely recommend giving these guys a try. read more

On a week road trip where we stopped at coffee shops every day this was the standout spot! Absolutely recommend coming here for the delicious food, friendly service and cute atmosphere. I asked the barista what she would recommend and so glad I listened to her recommendation of the honey bun latte and chorizo burrito. Even the salsa that came with the burrito was tasty. Also had a iced americano and jalapeño cheddar biscuit that were positively favored as well. Pro tip: explore the stores/shops next door while sipping your latte- so magical! read more

This is a charming coffee shop Café with delicious beverages, a fun ambience, and scrumptious sandwiches. It's right next to the garden store on Main Street. What's delightful about it is the garden ethos is over in this café as well. It's so refreshing to sit outdoors in a beautiful calming environment with the trickling fountain and all the beautiful plants. Service was great and the man taking our order was really fun and personable. This café is only open for breakfast and lunch and closes by about 2:30 PM so just keep that in mind. However, they had some of the most delicious sandwiches I've had in quite some time. Certainly, this place should not be missed. Although another local restaurant is quite famous with their desserts and all, this is a wonderful place to have a relaxing, calm, delicious bite of food or even just a cup of coffee or tea. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with sausage... the husband ordered a bacon burrito and we drank a macchiato hot coffee and took one to go... we also tried a brownie because we just couldn't say no. We sat outside with our group and it was set up super cute... not only that there were furry friends all around us. They had a big water bowl for them it was super cute. A nice neighborhood coffee shop, very nice ambiance, there's small indoor area and large outside patio and a little bench in front of the entrance for you to hangout in while you have your coffee or breakfast. This is definitely a small cafe for a small town, so if you are like me and came here during a long weekend (LDW), they aren't as fast as going to like a starbucks or peets and there will be a line, just so you know what you're getting into. But if you're not in a rush, then this spot is perfect to hang out and dawdle for a second. We were kind of in a rush, but we got cold brews so that wasn't too bad of a wait. We tried their cardamom coffee cake and black and white cookie. They were both ok def better with some coffee to pair it with. We did not try any of their made to order breakfasts. read more

My wife and I decided to try Lily's after seeing the great reviews and were hoping it would live up to the hype. We ordered a vanilla latte, a hot chocolate, and a Mediterranean bagel. Service was short, not particularly friendly. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were disappointing. My latte tasted burnt, and my wife's hot chocolate tasted like cheap chocolate syrup rather than real cacao with sugar. The Mediterranean bagel was especially underwhelming for the $14 price -- there was barely any cream cheese, and it lacked seasoning or salt. After we finished eating, my wife later told me about an interaction inside that i found upsetting. I stayed outside with our dog while she brought our plates in, and when she attempted to hand the cashier our plates she was told to instead place them in a bin on the floor. Since she is very obviously pregnant I found that in bad taste. We really wanted to like this place because the outdoor seating area is cute, but based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Cambria is the cutest oceanside town ever!!! We went in mid-morning and they already had a couple customers seated inside and outside. They have the cutest location and the cutest staff. Wish I hadn't had the free hotel breakfast, otherwise I would have tried their breakfast burrito or another food item. The matcha was top 10-20 for sure!! I wouldn't recommend the strawberry matcha as it is of low quality. The lattes are okay. The breakfast burrito is alright but it is small. We got the Mediterranean Bagel and were given the option to get bacon strips for 6 extra dollars. When we got the bagel there was no bacon and were told they don't offer bacon anymore. Cute, quaint coffee/breakfast shop in Cambria. My friend and I split the breakfast sandwich and Mediterranean bagel. The breakfast sandwich had a jalapeño cheddar bread and we added bacon. It was rich, greasy and the perfect hot sandwich for a rainy day. The bagel was fresh, light and a wonderful balance to the heavy sandwich we shared. Some of their coffee options were no longer available, which is the ding on one of the stars. We arrived on a Saturday morning around 930am and a lot of what they had listed was not available. Stopped her off recommendation on my way home. First this place is small but very cute with lots of outside seating. My latte and natal sandwich was delicious. However I was not impressed with the service. I wasn't welcome when entering and I felt like I was bothering them. As I sat and waiting for my food I watched the same interaction with other customers. The staff could improve on being more friendly and inviting, especially the girl that brings your order out. I ordered a Caprese Avo Toast and a Lavender Special (earl gray with milk and a hint of lavender) Caprese Avo Toast- Totally IG worthy. Toast is topped with mashed avocado, grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese and a drizzle of sweet balsamic dressing. Tastes good but it's lacking a little bit of something. Perhaps salt?
