Super cute and quaint. We drove instead of walking, glad we did because it wasn't a 'short' walk from our hotel. Menu was simple, food was good and the staff kind and helpful.

Coffee was flavorful but arrived at the table luke warm. (Overall rating: 3 Stars)

The Cow Tipper at Oceanpoint Ranch - Should be called "The Cow Skipper," as in, skip it all together. Exterior - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=jqruqgI2stfW_vPim-gWvw We were staying at Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach and figured we'd give the nearby on-site spot a try. Overall? M'eh. The Cow Tipper feels like it's coasting on proximity alone, not effort or quality. The name of the restaurant promised fun and charm - but that's where it stopped. The food? Just okay. AR & I ordered the buttermilk pancakes - not terrible, but definitely uninspired. We also ordered two cappuccinos, which arrived lukewarm, clearly sitting around too long before making it to our table. Pancakes - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=1K8zPFZnBD0jV1GrkjivJg Coffee - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=UyAHVgueW4yzw1g9lQ1T7w The service? Practically nonexistent. We felt like ghosts in a ghost town café. No greeting, no check-in, no follow-up... just vibes. And not the good kind. We walked in, figured it out for ourselves and took a seat. You're on your own for water, utensils, and apparently warmth (both emotional and cappuccino-related). However, they do actually bring your food to the table. You are given a number to display on your table after placing your order at the counter. IMO, the lack of service just shouted, "Lazy." Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=W3zipYnoLDeE-9-80EsQ_w Unless you're truly starving and physically unable to leave the property, skip it. Better food, better service, and better coffee are just a short drive away - and trust me, you will thank me later. Interior - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=0PQuqHxcT8EgfsJOD5sg9g Also worth noting: they advertise hotel delivery but apparently struggle to actually deliver. We didn't test that ourselves, but the other yelp*views are... not kind. AR & I actually did order delivery from a local pizza place but that too had its challneges. We stayed down the road from the Cow Tipper so decided to try it out for Breakfast. The food was great! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice and quaint! We will definitely be back!

The best part of this restaurant is the location and the food. Upon entry we were told to grab menus and find a seat and apparently we missed the part where we suppose to go back inside to order our food. We ordered our food then a server brings it to your table. It's a cross between fast food and sit down but unless you've actually been here before you don't really know that. Do I grab my own silverware? Yes! Do I get my own water? Yes! When the server delivered the food she asked if we needed anything and I asked for salsa-she started to send me inside to get it myself, but then suggested she'd grab it for me. Now that I got the very confusing part out of the way- let's get to the food. Delicious!!! My husband had the breakfast tostada and although the shell was a premade shell- all the ingredients were fresh, quality ingredients. I ordered the Cow Tioper Classic and it was fantastic. The bacon was cooked very crispy and had a great flavor. I would come back here for the food. My suggestion Cow Tipper- either be a fast food restaurant or be a sit down restaurant with a server- you are not doing a great job being both.

Great food! No waiters or waitresses, you order at the register and they bring out your food. Cashier/barista was friendly and helpful. Super close to a nice trail to walk and see the ocean and some shore birds.

Went to have breakfast here this morning. We had never been here. Great street sign and nice size dining space. We entered they said we can chose wear to sit and to grab a menu and return to the counter to order. We did so and the hostess was very nice. They took everything down, gave us a number to place on our table. The food didn't take long. The steel cut oatmeal was served with fresh blueberries a side of brown sugar. The burrito had fresh salsa on the side. Wow that burrito was delicious as was the oatmeal and the salsa super tasty. We were really pleased, so it's a good place to grab a bite. I highly recommend it for a simple quick bite

Fresh fruit & honey drizzled Greek yogurt with granola was great !

Brisket with potato hash was the Chefs pride -please keep it on regular menu , Hands down best breakfast in cambria , the Cow Tipper was excellent! Food , outdoor seating & amazing service by Fernando !

    Does the restaurant pet friendly?

Hi V.M., The Cow Tipper welcomes guests of all kinds — including four-legged ones! We have our brand-new outdoor patio that is perfect for pets to relax and enjoy the Moonstone Beach breeze.

Do you take reservations for dinner? My name is Jennifer Kester and I'd like to reserve a table for 6 adults on December 10th.

We stayed there in august and they didn't take reservations but maybe during the holidays 🤷‍♀️

Service is with a polite smile and efficient. I always seem to have a special order and this time I ordered their vegan tomato bisque with half vegetable panini and I subbed a roasted poblano pepper for the eggplant. The combo of the roasted veg and poblano pepper as the feature flavor in a grilled cheese on sourdough was outstanding! My mom treated herself to the Ololliberry pie and house made vanilla bean ice cream. She was in heaven. Hubby had the Tri-tip Sando and sister ordered the beet and goat cheese salad. All the produce and sauces/dressings were fresh and delicious and the portions were generous - not over the top. Linns has a delightful wine selection to accompany your meal and it is a welcoming and homey experience. Will definitely return.

We were politely asked to leave. No fault of the restaurant whatsoever--it was just one of those surreal moments that perfectly captured the beginning of that crazy chapter in history. Fast forward six years... We randomly picked this place for dinner and, as soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other and said, "Wait... haven't we been here before?" Then it hit us. This was that restaurant. Apparently, we had unfinished business. This time, the universe finally let us eat. I ordered the Ortega burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the patty melt with onion rings, and we took an order of linguini home for later. Every single bite was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the six-year wait. The service was just as impressive. Karina was our waitress, and she was attentive, friendly, charming, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. And if you decide to eat here, there's a very good chance you'll get your food much sooner than we did... only six years ahead of schedule.

First, the value is excellent. My husband and I both ate for about $45 total, which is impressive considering Cambria is such a popular tourist destination. The service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself has a fresh, inviting atmosphere, and the patio is beautiful. If the weather allows, I definitely recommend sitting outside. We ordered the Two Egg Breakfast and the Monterey Scramble. The Two Egg Breakfast was exactly what you'd want from a classic breakfast: simple, fresh, and well executed. The Monterey Scramble, however, completely stole the show. Let's start with the salsa. It was absolutely delicious. As someone who's Mexican, I tend to judge a breakfast place by its salsa because if the basics are done well, the rest of the meal usually follows. They nailed it. The pico de gallo was also fresh and flavorful and paired perfectly with the scramble. Overall, this is one of the most underrated restaurants in Cambria. I'm honestly surprised it doesn't get recommended more often, both by locals and online. If you're visiting the area, don't overlook this place. It's absolutely worth a stop.

In a world where restaurants and coffee shops can be wildly inconsistent, this place just keeps showing up and doing what it does best. My go-to is always the Baja Mocha. At this point, it's less of a coffee order and more of a long-term relationship. It's rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Every time I tell myself I should try something different, the Baja Mocha gives me that "Don't be ridiculous" look, and I happily order it again. A visit also isn't complete without grabbing a pound of whole beans to take home. That way, I can continue pretending my kitchen is a quaint little coffee shop instead of just... my kitchen. The café itself has a ton of character. It's on the cozy side, which means it can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. If you're looking for acres of seating and total silence, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for exceptional coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that feels like a true local favorite, you'll understand why people keep coming back. The staff is always entertaining in the best possible way. They're friendly, have personality, and somehow manage to keep things moving even when the place is buzzing. It's the kind of coffee shop where the people behind the counter seem like they're genuinely enjoying themselves, and that energy rubs off on everyone else. If you're passing through Cambria or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just don't blame me when the Baja Mocha becomes your default order too. The service was not very efficient with the crowd. The barista asked many questions (decaf or regular, oat milk, whole milk, 2%, almond milk, which coffee bean, etc.), which made the line move very slowly. She also had to stop taking orders halfway to make drinks, making the long line to get even longer. There wasn't enough seating, so we decided to take our food to go. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back.

Now, full disclosure--I might be a little biased because Mexican food is my favorite cuisine. I grew up in Los Angeles, where finding incredible Mexican food isn't a challenge... it's practically a birthright. So when I say Medusa's is the real deal, I don't hand out that compliment lightly. My wife and I almost always order the Molcajete, and it's become our tradition. It's advertised as serving two people, and it absolutely does... assuming one of those people doesn't "accidentally" keep taking just one more bite. It's loaded with flavor, generous portions, and arrives at the table looking like it deserves its own introduction. The biggest surprise on this visit? The tortillas. They were fresh, homemade, and absolutely phenomenal. Maybe they've always made them from scratch and I somehow missed it, but this time they stole the show. They tasted just like the ones my abuelita used to make--warm, soft, and so good they almost made me forget there was an entire Molcajete sitting in front of me. One of my favorite things about Medusa's is that it's family-run, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like you're more than just another table. That kind of hospitality is getting harder to find, and it makes the meal even better. I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, and Medusa's has earned a permanent spot near the top of my list. If you're in Cambria and craving authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop here. Just one piece of advice: don't fill up on the chips... no matter how much your stomach insists it's a great idea. Your future self will thank you when the Molcajete arrives.
