We stayed down the road from the Cow Tipper so decided to try it out for Breakfast. The food was great! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice and quaint! We will definitely be back!

The best part of this restaurant is the location and the food. Upon entry we were told to grab menus and find a seat and apparently we missed the part where we suppose to go back inside to order our food. We ordered our food then a server brings it to your table. It's a cross between fast food and sit down but unless you've actually been here before you don't really know that. Do I grab my own silverware? Yes! Do I get my own water? Yes! When the server delivered the food she asked if we needed anything and I asked for salsa-she started to send me inside to get it myself, but then suggested she'd grab it for me. Now that I got the very confusing part out of the way- let's get to the food. Delicious!!! My husband had the breakfast tostada and although the shell was a premade shell- all the ingredients were fresh, quality ingredients. I ordered the Cow Tioper Classic and it was fantastic. The bacon was cooked very crispy and had a great flavor. I would come back here for the food. My suggestion Cow Tipper- either be a fast food restaurant or be a sit down restaurant with a server- you are not doing a great job being both.

Fresh fruit & honey drizzled Greek yogurt with granola was great !

Brisket with potato hash was the Chefs pride -please keep it on regular menu , Hands down best breakfast in cambria , the Cow Tipper was excellent! Food , outdoor seating & amazing service by Fernando !

Great food! No waiters or waitresses, you order at the register and they bring out your food. Cashier/barista was friendly and helpful. Super close to a nice trail to walk and see the ocean and some shore birds.

Went to have breakfast here this morning. We had never been here. Great street sign and nice size dining space. We entered they said we can chose wear to sit and to grab a menu and return to the counter to order. We did so and the hostess was very nice. They took everything down, gave us a number to place on our table. The food didn't take long. The steel cut oatmeal was served with fresh blueberries a side of brown sugar. The burrito had fresh salsa on the side. Wow that burrito was delicious as was the oatmeal and the salsa super tasty. We were really pleased, so it's a good place to grab a bite. I highly recommend it for a simple quick bite

TLDR: There are unfortunately very few silver linings in this stormcloud of a restaurant. Bad service, unbussed tables, 40 minute wait after you order, food is decent but not worth the negatives. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill Long Version: My wife and I came here for breakfast this morning (1-28-24) and upon first entering we were getting vibes that this was going to be an interesting experience. There was a podium in the front implying a host, but also an ordering counter further in the restaurant. After awkwardly standing by the podium for a bit as staff walked by us we deciced to go to the counter. Other patrons were weirdly standing around in the main room waiting for god knows what. The menu is simple which I generally like, but makes no mention of which items are available for the time of day you are visiting (i.e. lunch and breakfast). If you go at an interim time I'd suggest having a breakfast and lunch option picked out, because no one knows when they change it. The woman taking the orders did the bare minimum of her job and had to swap out coffee dispensers which somehow took several minutes while other customers gathered around me muttering to eachother how long things were taking. We get our number and start looking for a table. There were MANY empty tables that had not been cleared. There were maybe 8 tables outside, about half of them were being used and the remaining half were uncleared. We wanted to sit outside so we sat at an uncleared table. No joke, it took them 30 minutes to clear the table. Around that time one of the tables next to us get their food and ask for silverware. The server (same woman that took our order) told them to get it from inside. Around minute 40 we finally get our food. Our server was much more friendly and offered to bring us our silverware. The food was decent, and the only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1. Not great mind you, but I was happy with it. It's entirely possible this was just a perfect storm of a bad day for The Cow Tipper. Maybe multiple people called in sick, but overall it was a shockingly bad experience. If management is reading this and it was a bad day you need to acknowledge it and try to do something to make it right, at the very least throw out an apology.

    Does the restaurant pet friendly?

Hi V.M., The Cow Tipper welcomes guests of all kinds — including four-legged ones! We have our brand-new outdoor patio that is perfect for pets to relax and enjoy the Moonstone Beach breeze.

Do you take reservations for dinner? My name is Jennifer Kester and I'd like to reserve a table for 6 adults on December 10th.

We stayed there in august and they didn't take reservations but maybe during the holidays 🤷‍♀️

We ordered the beef tenderloin tips, signature chicken pot pie, ollalieberry burger, and braised beef stroganoff. We especially enjoyed the beef tenderloin tips and the burger. The burger patty had a mild gamey flavor which I think is due to the cow being grass-fed (correct me if I'm wrong). Staff were also very friendly. The owner himself came out to talk to us. The restaurant is located in a quaint, picturesque town. We enjoyed walking around to see the other shops afterward. The parking lot was small but we were able to find parking. We got there on a Monday around 2PM and waited about 5-10 minutes to be seated.

We were politely asked to leave. No fault of the restaurant whatsoever--it was just one of those surreal moments that perfectly captured the beginning of that crazy chapter in history. Fast forward six years... We randomly picked this place for dinner and, as soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other and said, "Wait... haven't we been here before?" Then it hit us. This was that restaurant. Apparently, we had unfinished business. This time, the universe finally let us eat. I ordered the Ortega burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the patty melt with onion rings, and we took an order of linguini home for later. Every single bite was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the six-year wait. The service was just as impressive. Karina was our waitress, and she was attentive, friendly, charming, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. In a world where restaurants and coffee shops can be wildly inconsistent, this place just keeps showing up and doing what it does best. My go-to is always the Baja Mocha. At this point, it's less of a coffee order and more of a long-term relationship. It's rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Every time I tell myself I should try something different, the Baja Mocha gives me that "Don't be ridiculous" look, and I happily order it again. A visit also isn't complete without grabbing a pound of whole beans to take home. That way, I can continue pretending my kitchen is a quaint little coffee shop instead of just... my kitchen. The café itself has a ton of character. It's on the cozy side, which means it can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. If you're looking for acres of seating and total silence, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for exceptional coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that feels like a true local favorite, you'll understand why people keep coming back. The staff is always entertaining in the best possible way. They're friendly, have personality, and somehow manage to keep things moving even when the place is buzzing. It's the kind of coffee shop where the people behind the counter seem like they're genuinely enjoying themselves, and that energy rubs off on everyone else. If you're passing through Cambria or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just don't blame me when the Baja Mocha becomes your default order too. I tried branching out once... the Baja Mocha and I worked through it.

The service was not very efficient with the crowd. The barista asked many questions (decaf or regular, oat milk, whole milk, 2%, almond milk, which coffee bean, etc.), which made the line move very slowly. She also had to stop taking orders halfway to make drinks, making the long line to get even longer. There wasn't enough seating, so we decided to take our food to go. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back.

Now, full disclosure--I might be a little biased because Mexican food is my favorite cuisine. I grew up in Los Angeles, where finding incredible Mexican food isn't a challenge... it's practically a birthright. So when I say Medusa's is the real deal, I don't hand out that compliment lightly. My wife and I almost always order the Molcajete, and it's become our tradition. It's advertised as serving two people, and it absolutely does... assuming one of those people doesn't "accidentally" keep taking just one more bite. It's loaded with flavor, generous portions, and arrives at the table looking like it deserves its own introduction. The biggest surprise on this visit? The tortillas. They were fresh, homemade, and absolutely phenomenal. Maybe they've always made them from scratch and I somehow missed it, but this time they stole the show. They tasted just like the ones my abuelita used to make--warm, soft, and so good they almost made me forget there was an entire Molcajete sitting in front of me. One of my favorite things about Medusa's is that it's family-run, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like you're more than just another table. That kind of hospitality is getting harder to find, and it makes the meal even better. I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, and Medusa's has earned a permanent spot near the top of my list. If you're in Cambria and craving authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop here. Just one piece of advice: don't fill up on the chips... no matter how much your stomach insists it's a great idea. Your future self will thank you when the Molcajete arrives.
