I've been coming to Cambria Coffee for years, and somehow they've managed to pull off the impossible--they've never let me down. In a world where restaurants and coffee shops can be wildly inconsistent, this place just keeps showing up and doing what it does best. My go-to is always the Baja Mocha. At this point, it's less of a coffee order and more of a long-term relationship. It's rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Every time I tell myself I should try something different, the Baja Mocha gives me that "Don't be ridiculous" look, and I happily order it again. A visit also isn't complete without grabbing a pound of whole beans to take home. That way, I can continue pretending my kitchen is a quaint little coffee shop instead of just... my kitchen. The café itself has a ton of character. It's on the cozy side, which means it can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. If you're looking for acres of seating and total silence, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for exceptional coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that feels like a true local favorite, you'll understand why people keep coming back. The staff is always entertaining in the best possible way. They're friendly, have personality, and somehow manage to keep things moving even when the place is buzzing. It's the kind of coffee shop where the people behind the counter seem like they're genuinely enjoying themselves, and that energy rubs off on everyone else. If you're passing through Cambria or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just don't blame me when the Baja Mocha becomes your default order too. Small cafe gets very overwhelming on weekends. We stopped here on the way to Hearst Castle, wanted to grab a quick coffee and pastry, but the experience was disappointing. The service was not very efficient with the crowd. The barista asked many questions (decaf or regular, oat milk, whole milk, 2%, almond milk, which coffee bean, etc.), which made the line move very slowly. She also had to stop taking orders halfway to make drinks, making the long line to get even longer. There wasn't enough seating, so we decided to take our food to go. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back. read more

When I come for my yearly visit this is my favorite coffee spot to visit. They have pretty good iced coffee and blended drinks. I enjoy the outside patio they offer. The one downfall is that it's very tiny and can get packed in the small space quickly and the tables can go fast on a beautiful day. Everyone is usually very friendly and welcoming so they might share the tables with you. There are a few small spots for coffee in town but to me, this place has the best coffee. read more

This a a cute little coffee shop, found on the way passing through town. Very small inside, but has patio seating too. Menu is nice, there are a variety of coffee styles to get! I've been here a few times, coffee is pretty much good not amazing but good though customer service is horrible. This rating would be a 2.5 to be honest. I came in a few days ago the barista was rudely explaining certain coffee types to an elder woman. When my partner and I were next there was not acknowledgment that we were there (we were the only ones standing there). When I asked a question, the barista didn't even look my way at all just simple "NOPE". I love giving this place service but I just walked right out might return again (especially if the Irish cream will be back) hopefully it's just a coincidence where the baristas are having a rough day. read more

I was passing through this town and needed coffee. I saw the first one and by. You go to one side and it's a small room where you order. They had my favorite hazelnut so I ordered a hazelnut latte and my son got a juice it was $8 reasonable. You wait for your order to be called on the side they had a room where you can sit or some chairs at the front. My coffee had very light ice. Lots of street parking but seems to get busy later in the day so might have to look for parking nearby. We saw their blended coffee drinks and decided to give them a try. We ordered: - blended Dominican mocha: strong coffee flavor with chocolatey taste. The drink was a great thick consistency and melted nicely as you drink. Not overly sweet, which I prefer. Comes with whipped cream but we didn't want it. The only downside was the paper straws, they became soggy after a few stirs of the thick blended drink. Would've preferred if they were bamboo as they're environmentally friendly but sturdier. We chose to drink from the lid instead. Overall, the coffee shop is a good stop for caffeine. They have a selection of pastries as well. They seem small but they have seating next door after you order. The staff are nice and the drinks were prepared quickly. read more

I stopped here for some coffee - an Americano. They give a really nice roast to their beans and it makes for a bold yet smooth flavor. I quite enjoyed it. There is no seating inside where you order but there is an adjacent room, through another door, with plenty of seating. Instead, we sat outside in a couple of the chairs that are positioned along the sidewalk and people watched while sipping. Cute little local coffee shop with outdoor seating and some nice latte flavors in a great location. My latte was yummy, staff friendly, and prices very reasonable. I needed an afternoon pick-me-up while walking around the main core of Cambria - I saw the giant "coffee" sign so popped in spontaneously and I'm glad I did! After a tough decision between coffee and tea flavors and with the help of staff, I decided to try their Baja Mocha and it was lovely. It's a chocolatey concoction infused with warm spices and a nice cinnamon profile. Not too sweet as well which I love. They have quite a few sizes and I went with small which is one shot of espresso- it was perfect and just what I needed. It's a small shop inside but they have a nice patio on the main drag with lots of cozy outside seating - great for people watching! Cambria is very walkable and you'll find them right in the heart of it. There's lots of street parking around and ample spots outside of the busy times - but if it's tourist season you'll be fighting for parking lol. read more

My wife and I have been visiting this coffee shop for over thirty years. We've seen ownership changes over the years and sometimes quality was a huge improvement, sometimes not so much. Our favorite has been the Blended Dominican, but recently this drink is not the same. As a person who loves a good coffee shop, I think it's only worth of visit if you're already in the area, I definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it. Their coffee was fine and the barista who made it was nice, but the barista who took our order rolled their eyes at us multiple times and kept trying to rush us (there was no one else in the shop at all) and gave us really short answers when we just wanted to know what we were getting, then as soon as they were done taking out order they went straight to the back and ignored us the the of our visit. Especially weird since had been looking at the coffee cups in the front (couldn't have purchased if we wanted to with the cashier gone). The pastries were good, the peanut butter cookie especially, but the lemon square was not worth the $6 it cost. This place is pretty small on the inside where you order but I think there is a bar seating room right across from it, as well as a few outside tables. What a nice, quaint place. How funny that it was right next to the Cambria Chamber of Commerce! Was in Cambria for a short 2 day anniversary trip. We stopped into Cambria Coffee unsure of what to expect, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The coffee was delicious, best drink I've had anywhere. Better than Starbucks for sure. The first day we shared a cinnamon roll with nuts and the second day we each got an olallieberry muffin. I typically have to 'franken-latte' my own iced coffee drinks to make it taste right! The lady at the front saw my hydra flask in my hand as I ordered 2 large espressos with cold foam & vanilla syrup and asked if she could rinse my flask and put my beverage directly into it! What?! Wow! Sure! She took a long time servicing us as we prepared to hit the road, not making us feel rushed or like we were annoying her with our many add ons as we soaked in all the baked good offerings!
