The apricot pie was fantastic! Chunks of apricots, not too sweet and a flaky crust. The coffee was really good. It was the perfect birthday breakfast. The outside area is very pretty with some gorgeous flowers.

We stopped by to pick up our lunch order to take on an outing we had planned for the afternoon. The lunches were tasty. We all ordered different wraps: tuna, turkey, chicken. The only mistake is that 1 wrap can easily feed 2 people. We will certainly adjust for that next time. We also grabbed slices of pie for our lunches. The staff were super helpful getting our drinks and getting us on the road in good time. We had ordered ahead of time and I certainly recommend that. The space was inviting for a simple shop and may better suit your group over the larger restaurant.

What a cute spot!!! My sisters & I drove 4 an hour just 2 have pie!!! We were greeted right away. And it was a genuine greeting!!! I ordered their specialty pie of olallieberry!!! The gentleman asked if I wanted it warmed & à la mode. I absolutely said yes. 1 of my sisters had a peach blueberry pie & another had the olallieberry cream puff. I LOVED MY PIE!!! And my sisters enjoyed what they had. There is outdoor seating as well as inside. I would definitely come back & get another piece of pie!!!

Cute little place. There's a couple of shops around it but it is off the main road. A couple houses down. There outdoor seating and indoor seating. There's also a public restroom. The food was good we got a Dutch apple pie. I didn't know you could add ice cream ! I should have done that but it was delicious.

So good! Berries, blue cheese, chicken; a great combination in a salad.

Linn's Easy As Pie was just as good as it was years ago. The outdoor garden is a peaceful place to sit and enjoy nature and a nice lunch. The salad I had was amazing; so much flavor. It was huge! I couldn't finish it all. Can't go wrong at Linn's Easy As Pie!

I got a piece of olallieberry pie. I liked it better than the chicken pot pie though it was a little disappointing. It didn't have much flavor in terms of the fruit. The crust was fine although the way it was served to me was pretty messy. See picture.

Linn's Cafe overall is just ok. The food is not bad at all, but it is not spectacular either. The service was, however, excellent. The man behind the counter on our visit was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. On a Tuesday around 4:30-5:30 they were pretty deserted for dinner and it was quiet. There is limited street parking.nearby, but be sure to read the posted signage as we saw someone getting towed. There is also limited indoor and a bit more outdoor seating. You order at the register like fast food and they give you a number and bring you your food, but you bus your own table when you are done. We got the chicken pot pie, the tomato basil bisque, and the pecan and old fashioned apple pies. The chicken pot pie was not the creamy filling kind, but rather the soupy vegetable kind. The crust seems the same as the pies. The filling was not bad at all, but honestly it tasted like Campbell's vegetable soup. We just prefer the creamy filling for chicken pot pies. The tomato basil bisquealso tasted like Campbell's, which was ok for us because we like that. However, it was more acidic than Campbell's which was hard on the stomach. Unlike Linn's restaurant and other restaurants in town, Lin's Cafe serves you pies by the slice, except for Dutch Apple and one other because they are not popular enough in this area to sell by the slice. We definitely recommend getting any pie à la mode because the pies are just not good enough plain to enjoy without ice cream. Over the course of our stay in town, we tried several of Linn''s pies and the pecan is the best. None of the others are bad, just other places make them better than Linn's. Linn's old fashioned apple pie is just ok, bur, for example, the apple pie in Julian, San Diego, CA, is much better than Linn's. This is a tourist area and like everywhere it is impacted by inflation and CA minimum wage laws. Consequently, the pricing, especially for drinks, makes the value very low for what you get. We definitely recommend trying this place and trying their pies, but it is not a stellar experience. On the whole, Linn's restaurant is better dining experience. 3-4 stars is about right, 3 for the food and 4 for the service.

Cute, quaint spot for a quick lunch. We stopped in after touring Hearst Castle, about a 15 mins drive south. Order at the counter. We got the turkey wrap and the grilled cheese with tomato soup, both were solid. The wrap was generous enough to split. The back patio has a relaxed, garden feel, and the restroom area was clean and well-kept. We didn't try the pies, but they looked yummy!

As a casual offshoot of the sit-down restaurant 'Linn's' next door, Linn's Easy As Pie Cafe provides counter service with a focus on their pies (both savory and sweet), but also providing a small selection of soups, salads, sandwiches. Our group of three stopped in between breakfast and lunch time on a weekday, and had an enjoyable meal. Located in the small village of Cambria, Linn's Cafe is one of many food ventures in the area founded and operated by the Linn family. The cafe started as an emergency replacement for their restaurant, when it was heavily damaged by fire in 2006. After the restaurant was moved back after remodeling, the replacement was kept going as a less formal cafe selling their very popular pies, including their savory chicken pot pie. It wasn't too busy when we stopped in. The menu is displayed on chalkboard, and a daily special board (sandwich, quiche, soup) on a post. We made our choice, ordering food and drink from the counter, paying for it using Toast POS, and found seating in the back. Cell service was spotty in Cambria, so the free wi-fi in the cafe was welcomed and used. The food was delivered tableside directly from the kitchen in about 10 minutes. Linn's Famous Chicken Pot Pie with mashed potato ($17) - the menu picture didn't really match what was given, and the real version was more deconstructed: It had a flakey pie crust on top, with the chicken and vegetable filling loosely below. It makes sense to serve it this way for more quickness but still maintaining that freshness of not maintaining it under a heat lamp. The filling had large chunks of chicken, and well cooked vegetables in a thinner but flavorful broth. It was good, and the accompanying whipped potatoes and gravy was a great addition. It ended up being one of my mother-in-laws favorite dishes on our trip. Grilled Cheese with cup of Tomato Bisque ($13) - a very good rendition of grilled cheddar cheese. The bread was sturdy and well toasted with butter butter under a panini press, and the cheese was good quality and quantity. It was absolutely delicious dipped in the good tomato soup. Of course, there is always a lot of soup left long after the sandwich is gone: I ate the rest of the soup gladly, which isn't always the case. Soda was self serve and $2 a can. In keeping with the theme, everything was disposable so we self-bussed. Before we left, I checked out the back patio dining area. It had plenty of shade and room, and would have been a good place to have a meal as well. It's also a good place to stop when passing through for a snack break, or just peruse souvenirs from Cambria.

    Valerie A.

Linn's Easy as Pie is a must try if you are in the Cambria area! Delicious food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. The wait time was about 45 min, but I will say it was worth the wait. The fish was perfectly battered and crispy. The crab melt was toasty and had great flavor. The coleslaw was different, but great! I enjoyed the bites of green apple and cranberry in there. I walked away with a full happy belly and ready to go back. They also have options to buy pies and have several shops in the back that sell more to go food items and have shops that sells home goods and more.

Not-so-hidden gem just off the Cambria strip. This cafe is behind the full service restaurant and up the alleyway. They serve salads, sandwiches, soups, and POT PIES!!! We had the chicken pot pie with mashed potatoes and gravy and I cannot recommend highly enough. So yummy! They have indoor seating as well as plenty of outside seating patio area. You can also buy fresh baked whole pies and slices to-go. If you want casual and delicious then this spot is perfect.

Service is with a polite smile and efficient. I always seem to have a special order and this time I ordered their vegan tomato bisque with half vegetable panini and I subbed a roasted poblano pepper for the eggplant. The combo of the roasted veg and poblano pepper as the feature flavor in a grilled cheese on sourdough was outstanding! My mom treated herself to the Ololliberry pie and house made vanilla bean ice cream. She was in heaven. Hubby had the Tri-tip Sando and sister ordered the beet and goat cheese salad. All the produce and sauces/dressings were fresh and delicious and the portions were generous - not over the top. Linns has a delightful wine selection to accompany your meal and it is a welcoming and homey experience. Will definitely return.

(2 ) available 4- top tables open, but a party of 6 was told 30 minute wait. They declined and left. - A person came in asking for take out only to be told they were "inundated and not taking take out orders at this time." So far this is a management issue - these ladies were giving and needed 1 more server to keep them caught up- lots of business waking out the door due to poor scheduling- what a shame. One person behind the bar and 2 dining room servers would make this successful. It's too easy. - Food came out in a timely manner. Gary's pasta - 10/10 Clam chowder - 10/10 definitely homemade. My wedge- a little pricey but 8/10 only because the dressing came out clearly of a jar and no blue cheese crumbles. And the onion rings were pretty boring. I don't think they make them there, I am not sure about that, though. But they had kind of a generic look and feel to them, but the problem was they had zero flavor. Like nobody put salt on them when they took them out of the fryer. That's the first thing you do when you pull something out of a fryer, you season it. The server was nice enough, but they have a thing now where if you ask for water, they want to sell you a bottle of water. I get that things are tough for restaurants, but I almost rather pay a little more for the sandwich and get water, if you know what I mean. I'm no food expert, or running a restaurant expert, these are just my reactions as a local who stops in here fairly regularly. I think if the folks who run this place feel like there's any value to my little thoughts, they would be easy to fix and wouldn't cost anything at all really. I've been coming here for years, and I want these folks to do well.

I have frequented both the Cambria and Fresno locations, partially due to the consistently decent service and mostly due to the quality and quick food. It doesn't matter if you show up right when they open, or if you arrive when there's a line out the door waiting to place orders, service is always much quicker than you'd expect. Food is decent--whether you get a salad (note-the side or small salad is huge--it fills a full to-go container), fish and chips, a sandwich or burger. Substitutions are usually not an issue, and ranch/bbq sauces are available at no extra charge. I'm generally impressed with how absolutely fresh the lettuce and veggies are for the salads. I really have grown used to spending $10 or more for a much smaller salad at other locations and have grown accustomed to picking out wilted/rotted veggies and lettuce. Not here-everything is cold, crisp and fresh. Meat is seasoned well-- and the fries are plentiful. There is usually plenty of seating, whether inside or on the patio. Parking can be rough along Main Street, but if you're patient, you can usually find something fairly close. It does help that the grill is towards the end of the street. Rest rooms are limited and often running low on supplies. It can be quite a wait during busy times. In all, this is a great place for quick and decent food. It is consistently enjoyable for the whole family. We'll definitely be back whenever we visit.

I decided on the prime rib dinner, which came with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli & cauliflower. My friend ordered the ravioli. I ordered my prime rib medium, however, what I got was more on the well done side. I should've sent it back. The other thing was that my meal wasn't very warm at all, where my friend's pasta was very hot. The prime rib wasn't the best I've had and it was way overcooked. For dessert, we split the flourless chocolate cake which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. At least the dessert wasn't a disappointment. Service wasn't the most attentive.

Old rustic woods and beautiful views of the gazebo and gardens. We order from their menu . The prime rib was juicy and tender. The sea bass with spinach and artichoke sauce was divine The kale salad was really fresh. I wish they could have cut the kale smaller. It was too big to chew. The beet salad was really good as well. Salmon was cooked perfectly. The steamed veggies slightly overcooked. The pork chop was juicy and very soft. The Brussels sprouts was crispy and good. Overall it was a sumptuous dinner Very satisfying.

The bread tasted freshly baked and was served with fresh, house-made butter. The salad and homemade dressing were delicious as well. We especially enjoyed the filet and seafood special. In my experience, parties this large can overwhelm a restaurant, but Madeline's handled our group with calm expertise. The courses were paced perfectly, water glasses were never empty, and drinks and service were always attended to. They also made our champagne toast feel special and perfectly timed as part of the celebration. We were able to relax, celebrate, and enjoy our time together without ever feeling rushed or overlooked. I would definitely recommend Madeline's for your next special occasion or celebration, especially with a larger group.

It's a cozy restaurant with an intimate setting on Main Street serving dishes packed with flavor! All the dishes were well prepared and presented with lots of detail and care but the two standouts in my opinion were the Rillettes de Gibier and the braised short rib. The rillettes de gibier had was packed with a fatty flavor and just a hint just a hint of gaminesss that made it a great start to the meal. The braised short ribs were just so tender and the mushroom flavor really shined with each bite. It was woody and had a natural, forest-floor quality that grounded the heavy, fatty richness of the short ribs. I could eat that every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Glad I found Indigo Moon. The outdoor patio is quite large and has a nice ambiance for al fresco dining with your pup. I had the Faroe Island Salmon served with broccoli and cauliflower with brown & wild rice. The salmon was one of the best salmons I've had. I usually don't eat the skin, but this skin was crisp and the salmon was cooked perfectly. If you love salmon, this is a must. My friend had a chicken pasta and also loved their main dish. We were too full to have dessert. Next time. Service was nice and attentive. My pup also loved the patio and loved the fresh bowl of water. I'll definitely be back next trip to Cambria.

The host and our server Elin were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food, however, was mostly underwhelming. * Crab Cakes -- Too much filler for me, and not much crab to the taste. The chili lime sauce was not the best looking accompaniment either. Not sure why this appears to be such a popular item. * Salmon Tacos -- Dry rub salmon chunks with chili lime mayo, shredded cabbage, mango salsa and black beans. Salmon was fresh enough, but a bit heavy on the dry rub seasoning. The mango salsa was nice. The side black beans had too much salt and cummin for my taste. * Flat Iron Steak -- It was rather average. Not the most tender or juicy skirt steak. Normally served with mashed potato and veggies, but they allowed us to sub mash potatoes for creamy polenta which was nice. I have to say we were expecting more from Indigo Moon based on the other reviews. Overall, the food was just ok...like a longtime neighborhood cafe you'd like to support, but don't expect super fine dining.
