not sure where to start.. i came here with my roommate a few days ago looking to get our ears pierced. from the start, he gave us a big run down on his qualifications because of his many degrees in the science field, going pre-med track, being pilot certified (not sure how this is relevant), etc. he talked about how there is a lot of misinformation in the piercing field and that all i had to do was soak my piercing in a saline wash for ~10 seconds every day and apply ointment if dry. he was talking down on a lot of other businesses and kept talking about how all the other piercers have an "8th grade education," making him the most qualified piercer in WA. he also said that if i have any problems with my piercing i should come talk to him first and only him because all the other piercers "suck". he also mentioned that a new piercing could be healed within 1-2 weeks because recovery from surgeries in hospitals take a short time- and therefore it doesn't make sense for a piercing to take longer. i was obviously skeptical about this. anyways he went through with the piercing (industrial), marked my ears with sharpie, and pierced my ear without giving me a chance to check placement in the ear. and then when i was paying, he almost overcharged me nearly 40 dollars before i caught on that the price didn't add up. i followed his aftercare instructions, but my ear was extremely swollen, with heat radiating throughout my ear. it was extremely painful so i ended up going to the nearest piercing parlor near my residence. the piercer there gasped when he saw my piercing and told me the placement was completely botched. he also said that if i had come any longer, the rod of the piercing would've ended up digging through my skin. i got it removed and immediately felt relief. i felt wronged for having paid for a badly placed piercing so i called this parlor. they said they would call me back but never did, so i had to call again. when i did, the owner who pierced me was extremely harsh and rude. he started testing me on his aftercare instructions as if i was the one who messed up. he told me i was in the wrong for getting it removed and that i should've immediately went to him, because again, "all the other piecers are incompetent with an 8th grade education." he then started talking again about how he is the most qualified. i told him what the other piercer told me, and he laughed and started insulting their business and my "naivety" for believing in a unqualified business over his words. he also mentioned that there is no such thing as having the "wrong anatomy" for a piercing which is concerning. currently, my roommate is also having issues with her piercings, and had to go to urgent care. i just feel extremely hurt and shocked because of how unprofessional and harsh he was over call. please don't bother read more

What started as a simple walk-in turned into one of my favorite tattoo experiences. She took her time, paid attention to every detail, and delivered a piece that went above and beyond my expectations. For me, the most important thing isn't just the final product--it's the experience. Jamie made me feel completely comfortable and welcome from the start. I can be a bit of a baby when it comes to pain, but she was calm, patient, nonjudgmental, and respectful the entire time. Decided to write this review after finally removing a piercing I had done here four years ago. It was my first piercing outside of lobes, and it has just never healed properly (I've had over 20 piercings done by other piercers since then, including much more challenging to heal piercings) and have never had an issue healing a single one. To start, this shop was filthy and just revolting at first glance. Weird and offensive political decor at the front desk, holes in the walls that appeared to be stuffed with trash, stickiness and grime on just about every surface. No ID check (I was under 18 at the time, but getting a legal piercing for my age). The piercing experience itself was truly unhygenic (sharpie marking, no cleaning/wiping of the piercing chair or the spot that was to be pierced, shitty jewelry, no aftercare instructions). Nasty. The piercing was crooked and was inflamed and swollen for genuinely three years (again, all other piercings I've ever had done closely followed the projected/expected healing times). It's been consistently crusty and disgusting ever since then. The other issue was the piercer/owner. A seriously offputting, rude guy and a truly creepy individual. Definitely made some comments that weren't quite appropriate to say to someone under 18. Immediately started shit-talking other piercers and their practices, trying to boast/build himself up I guess. A lot of weird mumbo-jumbo that made for an uncomfortable experience. I don't recommend getting pierced here, or honestly coming here at all. I've seen photos that suggest there have been some very talented tattoo artists working here over the years, but from a general hygiene and customer service standpoint it's just not worth it. Had 30 mins to kill and decided to check out this shop, I walk in and explain that I'm looking to get my first tattoo and don't know much about the process, and ask to see a book. Tattoo artist (don't know his name, overweight white guy with beard) immediately assumes I'm trying to watch the current client's tattoo process (????) and calls me a weirdo. I look around for a minute then decide to go somewhere else. Utterly confused by this experience but the staff was very disrespectful and judgmental towards someone who didn't know anything about the tattoo process and wanted more information. Yikes, not at all surprised by what others had to say about the owner/piercer of this place. Back in 2019, he had pierced my nipples and completely botched one of them as it wasn't through my nipple but through my areola never ended up healing and had to remove it. Plus, he got mad at me for giggling during the marking process because I was nervous and it was a nervous laughter. Jump to this past weekend, my friend wanted a tattoo and I was down to get a piercing. Willing to give this place another try but honestly I should have just walked away. When he was spitting out all his mumbo jumbo about qualifications and how he knows all his shit, tried to sit there and tell me and the other girl getting a piercing that heart surgery takes two weeks to heal so your piercing should be healed before that. Not to disagree with the piercing being healed before the surgery, but the fact that he said two weeks absolutely flabbergasted me as I am a cardiac OR nurse and I couldn't believe the bs I was hearing. Finally my turn to get pierced. Not a single count down was initiated so I wasn't given a heads up before he poked me. He got upset that I was looking back at him bending the bar when I was just curious to what he was doing and had literally told me to, "you need to stay in your lane and mind your business". i used to love this place, I got my lip pierced here and a couple tattoos and it all went well and turned out great, but recently I went to get my tongue pierced and I was pierced my Marcus and Heidi, it was a pretty rough experience. The needle did not go thru quickly at all it took a good 20-30 seconds to get it thru and very very painful, plus it was pierced at an angle. and my piercer did not give me any information about aftercare. from reading online and calling other piercers i was informed you're not supposed to smoke or drink for the first couple weeks, it's good to swish alcohol free mouthwash or saltwater the first few days, and eating is very difficult the first few days, and after the swelling and pain goes down you can eat but you have to be carful not to damage your teeth from the long bar which allows for swelling. my piercer did not tell me any of this and they said it would be healed in 1-5 Days and I should switch to a short bar after five days, I'm not a professional but that is not what happened, every other piercer I talk to tells me to wait at least two weeks to change the bar, and at five days my tongue was still very swollen and painful, the swelling and pain lasted about two weeks. overall slightly traumatic experience and with no aftercare information no warning for how difficult and painful healing process was and no card woth their information to reach back out for any questions. lol will not be going here for any more piercings. read more

Went here yesterday to get snake bite piercings. First I told the piercer that I wanted to put rings in them. He said alright and then COMPLETELY botched my piercings. They both were completely crooked on the inside. The metal they pierced me with was surgical steel that was EXTERNALLY THREADED, which I would have NOT GOTTEN if I knew that was the piercing going in my body. The piercer talked me through the process talking extremely quickly and did not go over aftercare very well. I had to ask questions about mouthwash and eating for them to tell me about it. We were sitting in the shop for a while because my friend was getting a tattoo. I looked at my lips and I noticed that my right side had no extra room so I asked the lady behind the desk if I needed a longer bar and she assured me I had more than enough room. I left and 4 hours go by and my lip is totally eating my piercing. I went to a different shop in my hometown and they told me that this place was not reputable due to the fact they pierced me completely crooked, with external threading and bad metal. I had to get my piercings taken out after I spent 130$ at this place. Totally stole my money. read more

Don't waste your money here! My friends and I went in and wanted a small tattoo and some piercings. One friend was tattooed by Rico and you can see by the picture that it is terrible quality for such a simple tattoo. Two of us got regular lobe piercings and the earring posts were way too short. Both of us had to go somewhere else to buy new earrings two days later. At the new place they said if we had come in a few days later we would have had to go to the doctor to get the earrings removed. The man at Fenix went on and on about his qualifications and the quality of the jewelry - at deep roots they said the kind of earrings they used were illegal in some states because they can damage the ear. Pretty much everything the man at Fenix said about piercings was wrong and I ended up taking both piercings out because they got infected. I came in the other day with my friend at 12am to look at how much the piercings were. We were just browsing around, just to find out how much they were! I decided to get my nose pierced that same night. I couldn't tell you how painful it was but the lovely man who did it, did amazing job that I felt like it didn't hurt. We loved the vibes of the place, I love the service too! I couldn't tell you what we were talking about, but just know we had a lot of giggles leaving lol! Also I love the detailed explanation of the after care to take care of your freshly new piercing, it could be a lot of information before you get stabbed but everything he said checks out:) ( have 4 other piercings too). My friends and I popped into this shop to get piercings and the staff was kind enough to see all six of us as walk in clients, the same day; however, the incompetence of our piercing artist has come to haunt us. Two of us got septum piercings, both of which were improperly placed and had to be repierced at another studio. The piercings were placed way too far back into our noses, basically through the cartilage, causing the jewelry to flip up into our noses. One of the women who got the septum piercing developed a staph infection and another woman who got an industrial bar piercing had to get her piercing taken out because it was also improperly placed and externally threaded, which is illegal in Oregon. If you're looking to get a piercing, run far away from this shop and avoid the piercing artist, named Garret (who was wearing a sweatsuit that said "Assholes live forever," which should have been our first red flag) read more

Strap yourselves in, kids, it's a long one... First red flag for this place is that they're open until 2am. They're basically angling for those people who drunk impulse get tattoos and piercings. Which is what hubby and i did, we decided to get piercings at like 10pm (not drunk tho). We walk in, the place looks and smells like crap. The front area is clean-ish but everywhere reeks of pot smoke which i thought smoking in tattoo shops was a no-no for hygiene. Everything also looked really grimy and there were signs up saying not to photo or video anything without asking the artist first. The guy who pierced us told us there was no need to show ID, they don't need it. Red flag. We sign consent forms and this guy talks AT us for like 10 minutes, insisting we don't ask questions because everything he tells us will answer any questions we have. Tells us he has a bunch of "degrees" ranging from pre-med to microbiology to business and marketing, that he's a flight instructor etc etc. That all other piercers have at best an 8th grade education and don't know what they're talking about, he's the only one who knows what he's doing, blah blah At this point I'm full on seeing red flags but he reminded me so much of my ex that i mistakenly thought it must be that messing with my head. This guy has never been taught how to pierce. He's watched a couple videos, i can guarantee that. He did everything with getting the needles and jewelry ready off behind us with his back turned so no idea if anything was even clean let alone sterile. He did wear new gloves, but they looked super cheap and kept breaking at the wrists when he tried to put them on. Marked the piercings with a used sharpie and before that vaguely swiped the areas with a bit of paper towel sprayed in what smelled like rubbing alcohol (and wiped some in my eye in the process because he didn't even really look to see if he got my nostril at all, kind of just dragged it across the vague area of my face where my nose was). When he pierced my husband he told him to take a breath but shoved the needle through before he'd even finished talking. The whole time this guy is just talking, talking, talking lecturing the other person working about something or other, then he got to my turn. As i said, rubbing alcohol in the eye, used sharpie again and when he marked my nose piercing i was honestly so freaked out by this guy reminding me of my ex that i would have okayed any placement. As a result, it's so high up i will never be able to get a hoop in like i planned to. He shoved a splintered, gross looking popsicle stick into my nose to catch the needle, pierced me which really hurt, he didn't clean either of our piercings after they were done and sent us on our way with "aftercare" that consisted of "soak it once a day in strong salt water and apply ointment if your skin goes dry and scabby from the overuse of salt" (not a direct quote, but the gist of what he said). He did give us some samples of A&D to use, and insisted my husband photograph the aftercare instructions taped to the counter. Which are for tattoos, but hey the thought was there. He made a huge huge fuss about how he only uses high quality jewelry, wont let you have anything else put in because it will be "cheap and give you an infection or reaction", how he used flat back labret studs on both of us because that's the safest etc. except my nose is an L-bend nose screw, so that was a straight up lie. Im allergic to nickel so I'm scared to death if he's used a coated alloy and when the coating wears off I'm in for a nice big reaction. Also scared of Hep B, HIV, Hep C, staph, MRSA and gods only know what else this dude could have given us if he didn't clean his stuff properly. Skip this place. We're using a proper cleaning protocol instead of his instructions and hoping neither of us gets sick with anything, but i wish we'd gone to a proper place and got it done by a real piercer. This guy's methods are the equivalent of a stick n poke tattoo in your drunk friend's garage. read more

I am in Seattle visiting and accidentally ripped my nose ring. My hole ripped, but not all the way through. My stud was stuck, pulling the hole further open. I was able to walk right in and Ty was able to get it out. I cannot say enough kind things about him. He is an incredibly arrogant man, talking about how "all piercers in the US besides me have an 8th grade education", listing off all his irrelevant degrees (premed, marketing, biology, the list goes on I assure you...) he was a total know-it-all/show off and was putting everyone down to make himself seem like a genius. I went into the shop because I had thought I needed my ear re-pierced and I explained everything to the gentleman at the store. He easily could've said I do and charge me for an ear piercing service. However, after a swift inspection of my piercing, he said my earring was just bent and there was no need to get a piercing service! A silly mistake on my behalf but I am thankful for his honesty about my situation as he could've charged me otherwise for a service that was unnecessary. Ty advised us to wait until the ear completely closed and explained the dangers of re-piercing near open hole. We felt very comfortable with Ty's skill and knowledge - Ty inspires confidence. Fast forward March 2022, the ear closed, Ty re-pierced her ear and refused payment. WOW unexpected generosity. I love the shop and the customer care of both Ty and his staff.
