As a local I never had a reason to stay at any of the casinos however, with the July 4th celebration we decided to stay for a short staycation. The River Lodge shows it age, 42 years (I think). No ice machines on any level, no pool, dated decor, carpet & curtains. With this mind we weren't sure what to expect of our room but it was clean, even though the water in the bathroom sink drained slowly, bedding was very comfy and it was quiet throughout the night. Also, there might be 7 television channels available but we had a great river view. We stuck to eating at the different themed casinos within the Lodge. We went to Red Dragon and tried the pot stickers & pork char siu with rice; sadly no sauces were available & the staff seemed very frustrated not having the necessary supplies. By the way, they will not pour a drink in a paper cup for you in case you want to take it outside for some reason. Still it was cheap with a total of $10.80 for both dishes. We also tried a personal pepperoni pizza at Dotty's, which wasn't bad just not very hot/ warm. I believe that cost was $7.00. The last thing we tried was a pot roast dip sandwich at U1 that included fries & au jus. The flavor was good but the sandwich had no cheese at all; cost $7.00. U1 has great affordable food, slots, staff & atmosphere. I would recommend the Lodge to anyone traveling; it's unique, comfy & affordable with no resort fees read more

This place was filthy and dirty. This experience was terrible. The manager did not make it any better. Gal the manager would not budge on helping find a solution but was very fast to react saying "sorry it's nothing we can do about that but if you leave tonight we won't change you for the following night" (which we haven't stayed yet). The food wasn't great, and every place we tried to order from was super slow. Plus, they had way fewer options available on the menu.

We stayed for one night because we had a concert at a neighboring resort. The hotel is very motel set up. Rooms are spacious, but very basic. The TV in the king size bedroom was tiny. The picture of the TV has our Stanley next to it, for comparison. The room was dated, but clean. No extra amenities, in fact, you get ice at the front desk. No microwave, no fridge. Very basic channels. The entire non-smoking floor smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, and mildew. I assume that's normal because of the casino and the river. Housekeeping did bring us extra pillows, and the girl was nice. read more

We've stayed at many hotels in Laughlin and this was probably the worst. I'm not picky at all but the room we were given was not acceptable. Blue carpet and furnishings looks like they haven't been updated since the 80's. We asked if we could pay more to get an updated room. For an extra $30, we got a river view but the room was still pretty terrible. I was told they have updated the rooms on one floor but they were all taken. Also keep in mind there aren't any restaurants at the hotel. One thing I did like is the free EV chargers but they were all full with gas vehicles so we couldn't charge. They really need to keep the ev charging spots reserved for people with electric vehicles. I would not stay here again. read more

What a quirky casino/gaming/dining experience! Inside this hotel are 5 (Points!, Red Dragon, Dotty's La Villita & Bourbon St) separate "casino" areas with slots and with their own menus. It's a really neat setup, and although we didn't gamble, I would certainly do so next time I'm here. We had a kahua pork sandwich at the Red Dragon casino for $6, and it was very good. I was kinda surprised! It came with sweet potato fries, which were just ok. The server gave me a bottle of water at no charge when I asked for water. Great service! There's also a small bowling area and a really big gift shop. More to do here than you'd expect, and it's riverside too. read more

received high-quality service--not even the best hotels I've ever stayed at made me feel as valued as a receptionist named Robbin did. She was very pleasant and had an excellent way of interacting with guests--so much so that she spoke with her manager to get me a room upgrade at no extra cost. Believe me, if I were to return to this place, it would be because of how well I was treated and appreciated--not for the quality of the hotel itself. The women's working in the gift shop also treated me very well, so I am leaving this place feeling happy. read more

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, we ventured off one afternoon and went to the casinos in Laughlin. It was actually a fun way to spend the afternoon. Our last stop was the Laughlin River Lodge Hotel and Casino. I cannot vouch for the hotel because we did not spend the night but the rest of the place was very clean. This is really an odd sort of place - not one casino, but five casinos! And each one has its own "feel"!and theme. They include Dottie's Casino "comfort", Bourbon Street Grill and Sports Bar "playful", Red Dragon gaming and spirits "Zen", Points Casino "social", and La Villita gaming and spirits "festive". I believe you can use the same players card in each casino and all of them offer little cups of snacks like M&Ms, gummies and trail mix. Each casino has their own separate food and drinks along with slot machines. When we first walked in, it was very confusing, and it took us a while to figure everything out. They also have a country store which has quite a few souvenirs for a very reasonable price. We bought Christmas ornaments. It was overall a very different experience! Sigh! I really loved this place. It used to be a 4 star for me. It's certainly gone downhill rapidly. Holes in the bedding and curtains, dirty ac control, gross stuff on the drawers. For $90 a night...I guess that's a bargain these days...you get what you pay for. The casino no longer has the cash out machines. You have to wait in line at the bar or cage. Then you feel bad if you don't tip the cashier. Some of the staff are excellent, then others look like they need their batteries changing. Very hit and miss these days. So sad. Very disappointed in this place ! It's 103 outside and there is no water in the pool ! Also no ice on any of the floors! You have to ask for a small bag at the front desk or go to the store and purchase a bag of ice. It wouldn't have been so bad Heather have been a refrigerator in our room for my husband's medication's. That needed to be refrigerated. We did bring a small ice chest in case there was no refrigerator, but of course this place has no F effing ice. The best thing I could say about this place is they did bring us a small refrigerator to use in our room and the drinks were cheap. That's about it. read more

This hotel was our first choice as it was smoke free and we had a child with us, however the casino downstairs was not smoke free (obviously). We chose it for the family suite and that suite was sweet! The only thing was we were fully ready for it to have a stove as they had told us there was a kitchenette but we were getting by just fine the three days that we stayed there. The pool on a Friday was empty! Their bowling alley was open and a great place for kids and adults alike to hangout. The games in their casino were alright, we ended up having much more fun in other casinos like The Golden Nugget, The Tropicana, and Edgewater! So we stayed there a few months ago and liked it so we thought we would go back. Never again, First the TV has like 5 channels, the food at the Mexican bar was cheap yes but you definitely got what you paid for, not good at all.Theres no ice on the floors you have to get a very small bag from the front desk. The worst part was our room keys stopped working we went to the front desk to get another key go back to the room (floor 21) and the keys still don't work we go back to the front desk and she gives us more keys and then security goes with us, still the keys don't work but he lets us in. We had to leave our door not closed all the way for us to be able to leave and get back in. The front desk could do nothing for us since we payed through a 3rd party. We will just stick to going to Harrahs or Avi. read more

I never stayed in a hotel room at this resort/casino, but I usually visit here every time I visit Laughlin. I love the remodel they did a few years ago. There are pool tables and arcade games on the second floor of the casino, which I love. There is an arcade and bowling alley on the bottom floor. I never bowled there, but the bowling alley looks cool, although it's small. I love playing the slot machines here. The few times I've gambled here, it's never been too crowded, which I like. I would definitely come here again on my next Laughlin trip. :) read more

Seth treated me with loads of attitude, and mind you after waiting for half an hour at the register and a line of people behind me, extremely unprofessional he made me fill out a form to report my winnings... tried to convince me that I should know this is the process.... That is the process if you win over $1200 on a slot machine. I had won $125... he wouldn't give me my money unless I signed. So I did. Absolute worst hotel in the Laughlin area, the hotel pool has been "under construction" for the past two years, get online it says the pool is renovated and open, the slot machines are very old and the hotel does not pay out any winning so do not waste your time going to gamble there. You're probably better off gambling. I literally any other hotel, my family and I stayed here and my kids play the arcade. Majority of them are broken and do not have a sign that they are broken so when we went to go ask that they took our tokens. They just said oh all machines are play at your own risk, but there is no sign that says "play at your own risk" I understand that Laughlin hotels are very much outdated, but this hotel in particular must have never updated since the 1800s. The good: the casino was clean and payouts generous. AC worked well. But needs new air filters as they are dirty and black. Sink was clogged. Shower head missing parts, so showering was dangerous with high pressure water. Toilet flushes very slowly and the water looks dirty. No valet, no coffee maker, no refrigerator, no blow dryer... would be nice to have a café or restaurant on the property. People there were friendly. Nice comfortable lounge. Resort casino located on the southside of the Laughlin Strip. I was actually quite impressed with this casino. It was clean with a modern touch. There is also a bowling alley in the lower level that you can see from the ground floor. There was a variety of games. We enjoyed playing for a while. I was very happy and surprised to learn that beers were about two or three dollars each. We will definitely be back. read more

First of all get rid of every single employee that works for the security company, especially the nut that works at night shift going around writing down peoples car plates , because they are checking in and the staff is the slowest I've ever seen. Took me an hour to check in with only 5 people in line. And the security threaten to tow my car , have me kicked out and arrest me. I was customer there checking in to get a room. The staff has to be the worst, and the security is a joke , they actually think they are real cops. I filed a complaint, but guess who gets it, the stupid security company. And he wanted me to address him as captain. Damn CLOWNS. Never going there again. Please take my advise , do not go there, the pool and the escalators don't even work. We constantly visit the small bowling alley in our travels for the amenities. But this trip was just a let down. The place is turning in to bad attitudes from the staff, to not being able to sit because of all the ripped seats, like if you are wearing shorts plan on standing. Small make believe bar is limited, and now you can't bring a drink in from 20ft away, even tho they don't offer it. Approached guy being the desk about it all, again lack of care. So sad how it really turned around. It used to be a great spot to stay, I wish I could same the same about it now. To start off, we waited an hour in line to check in. There was only one person checking in. The lady Lucille was super sweet but they need more people. The lady behind us in line was complaining because her room was dirty. When we got into our room finally, we understood what she meant. The sheets were dirty, floors, windows, bathtub, etc. Also, how convenient they started this new "policy" the day we arrived that you have to go down to the front desk to get ice. Went to a concert in Laughlin, was looking for a budget friendly place to stay. Place was great, room was clean. The room we stayed at didn't face the river but it was clean and affordable. I get a call from who I assume is a supervisor of housekeeping who tells me suddenly and to my surprise that I had to leave the hotel (I had two nights left already paid for) because they came into my room, inspected it, and found that the bedsheets were too dirty. "Couldn't be cleaned ", they said. Permanently stained. I had been staying there for a week and its true I had been eating in bed -and the sheets were in fact dirty.(although other than that, the condition of the room itself was just fine) So I asked, "can't I just pay for them?" And the response was "we charged your credit card for them already." so then I asked, "so, then what's the problem?" She responded " We are not going to allow this to continue and so you have to leave right now" I was just walking out the door to make an expensive dentist appointment(no insurance) so I asked, "Can I get my stuff out of the room after this dentist appointment so I'm not late?". And she says "No. It has to be right now." So I go to the front desk and wait for their team to escort me to the room so I can get my stuff and I'm hoping this won't take long because the longer it takes, the later I'm going to be. I wait and wait, and it's getting later and later. And so I keep on waiting for them -because *they* aren't ready. The incident made me late by about 25 minutes. And that's how and why I was told to leave two days earlier than my departure date from river lodge hotel casino because my bedsheets were too dirty. Not just that, but when I first arrived they asked me if I wanted privacy, or if I wanted housekeeping. I told them I would prefer privacy. And then, they came into my room -without telling me that they were going to be, and without me being in the room with them, for the purpose of inspecting it! literally to look around at things in detail! Not just that, but also by someone who then makes such a big deal about dirty bedsheets that I have to leave 2 days early --even though I paid for the sheets! It's just that it seems to me that, hypothetically, if i had a pair of scissors and cut them to ribbons it shouldn't matter if I also paid for them! I had been eating in bed and the sheets were in fact dirty. Although I almost asked if I could have them because I also knew it was just stuff that would wash out. If I'm paying for them i might as well have them. But I didn't because I didn't have room in my car which was all packed up with stuff. In terms of rating you can't blame me for never coming back But also the other stuff: There was approx 20 total TV channels; no Comedy Central; no history channel. They did have tru tv tho, news channels, a channel that played actions older action movies, and a channel that played sitcoms from the 70s and 80s like threes company and mamas family. The TV options was of a place that wants you to not watch TV and instead to come play at the casino. The rooms were clean I never saw any cockroaches or anything of that nature. I was on the 8th floor. No fridge at all . Air conditioner worked fine. No microwave. No coffee maker. (I don't remember if there was an ironing board or not) No ice machine. You can have ice brought to you if you for at no charge -if you dont mind bothering someone and having them carry a bag of ice up to your room for you -and then not tipping them. or you can get a bag of ice for the cost of the tip. Otherwise you can buy a bag of ice from their gift shop and then carry it yourself. Only hotel I've ever been to with no ice machine (and no fridge to boot) About the lady who booted me to teach me a lesson about dirty bedsheets, the funny thing is that i tip really well - and i mean really really well. So much so that I don't want to say how much because it might make the story sound fake. Normally people do not tip that much and I think this lady had no idea of it and just took her bad day out on me (which likely pissed off many of the other employees if they found out why I left) The rest of the staff on the other hand were nice, professional, and it seemed to me like they were good hard working people. Yet still (and this could be just because of that one bad apple) they had no respect for my privacy, they forced an early departure on me just on a whim, and had a blank room (just a tv with few channels, air) which tho was clean and they were priced good (in comparison with hotel rates normally)I don't remember exactly but like $69 a night or something. read more

I had came to Laughlin in the past and stayed at Edgewater and Colorado Belle which is now permanently closed. Both reminded me of any 3 star hotel or motel or comparable to the older hotels in Downtown Fremont in Las Vegas. So coming here again, I didn't have much expectations. Although we tried to be hopeful as website showed renovated rooms plus concept of a family suite which was the best idea they had ever!! We were first greeted at the check-in desk with the employee gave my child a those new year like necklace and a baggy of 6oz water and some chocolates inside. Great start. When we got to the rooms, we are all amazed!! Everything was literally newly done and they did great! The pretty much combined 3 bedrooms together making 1 room a master king bed and bath, middle as family room with bar area then the 3rd as the kids room with 4 separate twin beds. It was themed also with a cool wall chalk board! Everyone qas fighting for this room even the adults!! The room was super spacious, clean with an awesome riverview to go with it. Water pressure was also perfect and the housekeeper did awesome with the cleanliness and folded the towels and tissues with character. They definitely took care and pride with their roles. They got an awesome bighorn cafe in house with the best prices amd portions for breakfast in town! Which will be a whole other review on so go to by page to check that one out. Overall, one of the best stays I had in Laughlin!! In fact, we almost wanted to add another nights stay!! Every employee we have met so far were SUPER nice and sweet!! Stayed here for the weekend. The casinos are mini casinos in different themed areas. Check in was very easy. The room was spacious and the bathroom was huge!! The highlight is their massive general store and big horn cafe (on the lower floor). The general store had everything you needed and prices were very reasonable. The bighorn cafe was delicious as well. Prices were great and our waiter Joseph was very friendly and courteous. Will definitely come back. I love the free wi fi, parking and no resort fees. read more

:/ False advertising regarding the amenities made this experience a downer. There were a few things that made the experience okay. No resort fees but also several things that you would want to enjoy are closed. :/ Check in: quick and easy, we arrived at 2 pm and we were able to get to our room. Front desk staff and bellmen were friendly and informative. Rooms: clean and well serviced. Older style but well maintained. They have a basket with shampoo and soaps. Nice large tub with a well powered shower. Yes the tv is old (thick box) and only has about 10 channels that work and they are channels so boring that you will hate having the tv there. Why? Because there's nothing to watch. I would recommend if the room is not to your standard then DO NOT touch anything and go let the front desk know about your concerns. Bowling alley (10 lanes) & pool table (there is only one): great prices to play and the kid bumpers automatically go up for those who need it and then down for those who don't. They also have the assist tool for children to use. There was a menu where you can order food to your alley. *Chili cheese fries and pizza were bland. Beer and ice cream well priced. Website promotes: Gamers Alley, kids play section, adult games throughout the casinos.BUT THEY ARE CLOSED, the signs state temporarily but I was informed by the front office manager (also courteous) that this is due to the state of Nevada not allowing the property to open those amenities. *Hopefully the property's manager of operations or GM could tell the person who handles their website to note that on their webpage. We had planned to use those amenities and were left disappointed. I worked in hospitality for over 10 years and it's a courtesy to make sure your guests know what you do and do not offer especially when it's something closed for years (i.e. 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023). Gambling: there are no table games such as poker, roulette, craps, nada! Only machines and they are all brand new, fancy LED ones. The different theme rooms are cool and heck you can even get food at some of them. I found a fooseball table and guess what? You can't play it!! There's a basketball shooting game- wait you can't play it! I wish they had some familiar oldie machines to play but nope you need to walk over to the Golden Nugget for a variety. Food: well that was something we were looking forward to with all the raving reviews on Father's Day morning to get some breakfast. But there was a maintenance emergency and they were close until 2 PM. :/ Decided to go over to the Arizona side and get breakfast there. Arcade: small but had a few fun old school games and pinball machines. General store: has mostly everything you need, both food/drink items and products. There is a cold beer cave area that was neat. They have premade sandwiches and pastries such as muffins (blueberry was great) and the staff can warm it up for you. They have a water feature fir kids to pan for gold (you just need to buy the bag). Didn't try the beach access and the outside pool was not that big. Staff throughout the stay though were courteous and friendly. No problem whatsoever with service. read more

Facility always clean, several little Casino-ettes downstairs with snacks, they serve Patron, I hit a Royal, and the Big Horn restaurant downstairs is almost worth the drive from LAS. Big Horn Cafe got the 1990s prices, thank you for that!!!! Bumbleberry is twice the cost, so why eat there? And the casino has blackjack at the bar, I found it hard to find at some casino bars- this place has it! And a huge gift shop that sells everything from old school candy, tshirts, oddities and fast food for those in need. read more
