Leave your sensitivities at the door, order your first few drinks at another bar (that line gets crazy long before the show starts) come at least 45 minutes early for good seats, and then eat super cheap at the Coronado Cafe when the show is up. I frequent another comedy club in town and came here the first time and my group and I were not impressed with the acts. The show was set up more like an open mic night than an actual comedy show. Compared to all the other shows going on in town, this one wouldn't be one I'd recommend.

Brads set was one of the worst I have ever heard. He had no original material. All his jokes were racially focused. Making fun that the Mexicans name was really Miguel, not Mike. And he should leave his leaf blower outside. And he wish he had a huge D like the black guy in the audience. Using these old outdated jokes for the primary format of his set was mind boggling. I can't believe people would pay for this. And the awkwardness of people having to laugh and smile thru it all is atrocious. Then the jokes about someone from Gaza blowing up the place. I truly hope no one targeted them after the show as BG mentioned him about a dozen times during his set. I have always adored the comedians at Kimmel and go there often. I won't be back to hear BGs shenanigans anytime soon, nor do I think Miguel or Jerrel the black guy will be either.

Brad called us out for arriving late once we got seated he reminded us that the show started @ 8pm & made a "joke" about us being late because I was giving my friend a BJ... :-() Soooooo if you're sensitive & don't like to be picked on than don't get a seat in the front row/close to the stage. Brad was picking on one couple up front & an older big guy who was with his parent's. I can't even put what he said to them on here because it wasn't very nice. Lynne Koplitz was the comedian for the night and she started off really weird. I felt like she was really nervous and wasn't sure what jokes she wanted to tell, maybe not really prepared?? But as she got warmed up she got better. She was nice to the audience & wasn't "picking" on them like Brad did. Showroom was packed. Our cocktail waitress came over to us soon after we sat down. My friend got the Border Patrol speciality drink & it just tasted like a margarita. I got the "bitch" drink which was tasty but one was enough for me. We got to keep the plastic glasses. Bathrooms were clean & had some nice decor & magazine covers of Brad. Security & door staff was nice upon arrival to the venue. After the show my friend saw Brad outside talking to some people who attended his show & he asked me if I wanted to go over & get my picture with him. Their humor and comedic timing were on point. Their energy was next level but still somehow kept everything grounded and fun. My friends and I went to the Comedy Sportz show at Mom's Basement Theater last night and it rocked…read morefrom start to finish. At one point I shouted "golden rocks" and suddenly everyone ran with it. Before I knew it we had "platinum pebbles" and "silver stones" being used in the next bits. The whole show was on a roll and really rocked the crowd. I was laughing so hard! The sound board guy has the best laugh. The ref walks around asking the audience for topics and you just shout them out. They take multiple ideas and use whatever you say for each game so your suggestion might become the bedrock of the next scene. I shouted "Dungeon Crawler Carl" and realized instantly that my choice was way too niche. Still, I stand by it. Anyone in the improv world really should listen to those audibles because there is so much comedy gold in it even though it's a litRPG. When the teams are close the ref calls on the audience to decide. One team said "bear belt" instead of "bear gi" and somehow still got the point while the other team said "paragliding" instead of "hang gliding" and didn't. The ambiance is very inclusive and it's a small intimate venue. They have simple concessions, bottled or canned non alcoholic drinks, candy, and cookies. We also got the chance to stay for the next show for only $5 more, which is a deal since tickets were $15 each. If tickets were a little cheaper we would definitely go more often. Regardless we are already planning our next visit. Maybe next time I will dig deep, find my inner quartz, and be their VIP because this show truly rocks my world.

This review is for the venue itself and NOT for the show at all (the production company should avoid this venue all together). The venue itself decent with good view of stage, sound and lights. The high top seats are uncomfortable and drinks were not correctly made and aweful (they had a cocktail server who was doubling as the bartender). I would of probably gave this venue a 3 star, however when we go out of the show and back to our car, I noticed that a got a parking notice from a private parking company names metropolis. We parked on the east side of the OYO where I did not notice any notice that I was required to pay for parking. I don't mind paying for parking up front, bur expect to at least be told up front. Parking notice was $42 bucks. We highly recommend avoid going to anything in the OYO, and going elsewhere. We should of know better after a previous visit to the Hooters here awhile ago where we were highly disappointed.

On the second night, it was supposed to be a variety show, however, ended up being basically all comedians we've seen before at other small venues in town...none of which were funny at all. The "headliner" was the worst one and had zero material planned, and only relied on crowd work. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. Laugh Factory next door at Tropicana has much better comics!

The host for the night was HILARIOUS, making jokes off the people in the front row like Chop Towbin AKA King of Cars! The opening act for Jimmy O. Yang was even funnier, and then for the main event - Jimmy O. Yang had me LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY! I hope one of his shows from the tour ends up on Netflix or Amazon! Some tips for first-timers to the theater: 1. Follow the signs for "The Mirage Theater." Aces of Comedy is in the back (like wayyy back of Mirage). It is pretty much a diagonal B line from the parking garage to the theater. 2. The entry process was a breeze. They scanned our electronic tickets and voila, you're in. All the employees were super nice and guided us right to our seats. 3. The theater is a good, intimate size. Stick with section 102 seats and you can't go wrong. The seats slope upward from the stage. We were in the orchestra section, EE 9 and 10, which was pretty dead center to the stage. To me, these seats were PERFECT and would be the seats I would want to get again! 4. The smell of movie theater popcorn will lure you! Fortunately, I practiced self-restraint as I knew I would be getting popcorn all up in the air as I laughed! Go to the Aces of Comedy and get your LAUGH ON!!! :)

When I found out he'd be performing at the Mirage Casino the same time I was going to be in town, it was a no brainer. I had to go. Fluffy had Martine Moreno and Alfred Robles open up for him and they were amusing but Gabriel was the reason I was there. It was a different kind of show because he shared a lot of personal stuff about what he has been going through recently. I can't imagine how difficult it is to go on stage and entertain an audience with humor when some really heavy changes are happening. Don't get me wrong, the show was hilarious for the most part but really touching as well. I don't want to spoil anything for you before you see him or his next comedy special coming soon. It will be different. Now the venue. The room is just large enough to fit a good size crowd but not so big that sight lines are affected or that you lose that sense of intimacy with the performer. Due to my current mobility issues I required some ADA assistance and the staff really delivered overall. There is a phone number you can call to have security meet you at the north entrance by registration and they will provide you with a wheelchair and wheel you to the theater which is a good distance from the self park garage. The security personnel was very friendly and never made me feel as if it was an inconvenience for them. They brought me up the elevator all the way to my seat upstairs. The staff member in charge at the theater was so sweet and accommodating. She made checking in with my mobile tickets a breeze and provided information on how I would be escorted back to the north entrance after the show was over. Be aware it takes a lonnng time for them to send someone to help you though, before and after the show. ADA seating was very comfortable with wide rolling seats and lots of open space. Even though the seats are in the last row, the view was excellent. Important note: the ushers are hardcore (even the older ladies) and will have you thrown out for talking too loud or yelling at the performers or even worse, recording the show on your phone. They may look like grannies but they will come at you like a pit bull if you act stupid or break the rules. Granny don't play dat'.

Like out of business forever. So we walked over to the comfy looking Race and Sportsbook bar and managed to still have fun. Bartenders are friendly, the people watching is terrific, you can smoke (!), and there is every kind of game/sport imaginable playing on one of the dozens of large TVs in front of you. So while it wasn't the glamorous champagne night out we had planned, Race and Sportsbook isn't a bad place to throw back some cocktails with a friend. And heck, they even have some bubbly options.
