This business is close to home and I'm so grateful! I first came here back in 2019 when I had HDS insurance and they fitted me for a night guard. All the employees are so helpful and friendly, I had a traumatic experience when I was younger and I have avoided going to the dentist as much as possible. Now I have United Concordia again and I haven't been to the dentist in over 20 years. It was time I had my teeth cleaned and xrayed. Once again it was so easy to make an appointment. My hygienist was so fun! She made my appointment so comfortable. Also, despite not going to the dentist for so long, I only have two cavities! Now, I'm someone who is absolutely terrified of the dentist at my big age lol and each time I communicate this to the staff, they do everything to make me feel good. Even though the office was busy, they went above and beyond to get me in the same day--which I am so incredibly grateful for. I finally decided to go in person just to find out that they're actually closed. I had a scheduled appointment for teeth cleaning and check up. Coincidentally two days prior I came down with a severe tooth ache. I told the hygienist of my situation and she took some X-rays immediately. The X-rays revealed that I had a dark spot in the tooth in question and that it may be a cavity. She was able to clean around the tooth without any problem and notified Doctor Kim. Doctor Kim informed me that I in fact had a large cavity that was causing the severe pain. The option was a root canal or the removal of the bad tooth. I elected to do the root canal. I was expecting to be told to make a new appointment since I was only scheduled for teeth cleaning and a check up. But Doctor Kim was able to do a partial root canal immediately so I wouldn't suffer from the pain and he referred me to an endodontist for a follow up. I have to say that Doctor Kim's front office staff was very nice, his hygienist, and his assistant who assisted Doctor Kim with the partial root canal. I have to say Laulani Dental Care is definitely the best dental business that I have ever been to in my life...and that a lot to say since I'm nearly 65 years old! read more

I called in with an achy tooth and they got me an appointment the next morning. They were quick and efficient. They took extra precautions for Covid. They even have air purifiers in all the rooms. I have finally found a dental clinic that meets my standard of care. It took about a month wait to be seen by their staff for an initial routine cleaning, however they were able to accommodate me a week early due to a cancellation. Located on the 2nd floor suites above Buffalo Wild Wing, their waiting area is pretty compact. A minor inconvenience, as they do take you into the treatment room quite quickly. Wouldn't recommend you bring any guests to your appointment, as seats and space is limited. Hygienist and dentist that completed my cleaning and checkup were professional and polite. I switched dentist since I was tired of spending more time in traffic due to the restrictions lifting. So I decided to find a practice that was close to my house. It was probably the best decision I have done in a while. I'm not a big fan of dental offices when it comes to me, but I had a great experience. Although I had to wait about a month before my appointment, I had no problem with that. It was easy to get an appointment through their website. They called me to confirm the date and time. Days before the appointment, I was able to do the online registration forms so I didn't have to do it in office. It was very easy to input my information, and also to upload documents needed. This morning, I did receive a text message to check in when I get into the parking lot. It was easy to find parking and also to find their office right above Panda Express. I walked into the office, and the first thing that I saw was this whiteboard that says "Welcome New Patients", and there is listed the new patients of the day which of course included myself. That definitely put a smile on my face. Long story short, my hygienist was Shannon and she was great! The assistant, which I totally apologize I forgot her name, but she was very friendly as well. They both explained everything that they were doing step by step. I am low key excited for my next 6 month appointment. LOL. read more

I was so looking forward to thisDental appointment with Dr. Brooke. I was scheduled to fix a crown and also, get my 2 front teeth that have been chipped and cracked fixed. I was feeling a little self conscious about smiling only because I thought people were always staring at it. Upon starting to fix it - Dr. Brooke noticed I had a cavity on the back of one of the tooth. We called everywhere. My GF was in extreme pain and she is a strong woman. (Between me, you, and the fence post, she'd probably could beat me up) so when she was crying from pain, I knew this was serious. Called 12 places that said, "no appointments for 1 month, or we are just a family practice" wtf?! If you ever hear a dental place say that, that's them saying we aren't a regular dentist and have only DA's that graduated from Phenix Medical College (which is another rip off scheme) and just tax insurance companies for as much as they can get, along with hefty co-payments. Another place quoted 1200 just to start without even seeing her. But Laulani Dental Care was completely different. Dr. Brook Uperesa was amazing and even made time for her. And now, my life is better because you all know the drill, if mama (or papa if you're gay) is not happy, no one is happy. And now everyone is happy. I would give 10 stars if I could. But based from my experience of trying to find a dentist that had staff that showed empathy and compassion was really hard, but as for this place, they were really helpful, nice, understanding of the pain my gf had and were prompt to servicing us quickly. just now I had procedure scheduled to extract a wisdom tooth. I called the morning of and asked if they could send pain meds prescription ahead of time to Walgreens so I could go home immediately after procedure. Receptionist said ok. I called fours later to follow up. SAME receptionist giggled and said she never got around to it. Then tells me standard procedure is to call in meds while I'm in surgery. I explained im by myself and didn't want to wait around forever in Walgreens. She just brushed me off. Very rude and lack of customer service. Dealing with patients might need more retraining. I asked for meds to be sent day of procedure and she acted like I asked for illegal substances. I have always been able to get meds prepped ahead of time but maybe the process was over her head. After years of avoiding the dentist due to anxiety, a bad toothache finally made me realize that it was time to get back in the dentists chair. I chose Laulani Dental Care because of all the amazing reviews here on Yelp and boy am I glad I did! I felt welcome and safe from the moment I made the appointment. COVID Guidelines are clearly communicated and followed. They even have medical grade air purifiers in the waiting room and in each exam room to ensure a safe and healthy environment. They also limit the amount of people in the waiting room at a time to allow space for social distancing. The exam itself was excellent. At the cleaning, the hygienist made sure to communicate every step of the process and always made sure to check in with me to make sure I was comfortable. I ended up needing a root canal, which Dr. Brooke took care of quickly. I was nervous about that but I knew it was necessary. Dr. Brooke did such a good job numbing me and making sure that I was comfortable that I barely thought about what was going on. It did help that I was able to watch Netflix and Disney Plus during the procedure! Overall, it was a great experience all around. I never really found it exciting to go to the dentist. I don't like the atmosphere and procedures due to horrible experiences as a kid. However, my teeth needed some TLC. With my move to 'Ewa Beach, I had to leave my 'town life' behind. That meant finding a new dentist close to home. Luckily, my roommate has been to Laulani Dental and told me how amazing her experience was. I called and I booked me for a cleaning and exam. This dentist office is located in the Laulani shopping center above Buffalo Wild Wings. Plenty of parking and their is access to an elevator or stairs to get you to the second floor. When I walked in, I was greeted but smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. They have a tv playing peaceful and relaxing music as you walk in to check in. They also offer free coffee and water as you wait. Besides the clean lobby and friendly workers, what caught my eye was a small white board on the reception desk. This white board said " Welcome" and it name on it along with all the other new clients. That small gesture of aloha really made my day. As well as the amazing service from all the staff. The cleaning went quick and it was painless. I also enjoyed the attention to detail in everything. To the tv on the ceiling for clients to watch when they are laying back in the chair to the respectful staff. I would recommend this to ALL. read more

The Laulani Dental office is very easy to find and if you book your appointments early enough then parking should never be a problem. Their office is located on the second floor in the two story building in the far corner of Laulani Shopping center. It is right above the nail shop. It is very accessible, with an elevator for wheelchairs or for the fit & fab and everyone's favorite...stairs! If you're coming from up the stairs you want to make a left, and if you're stepping out of the elevator then make a right. Go down the beautiful clean and new hall and you'll see Laulani Dental. Let me tell you, I've been for a few dentists in my life and Dr. Kim's is definitely the winner of the most beautiful. Who ever did the interior decorating or who ever he hired to dream up this lovely office, did an AMAZING job. It takes you away from the normal dentist offices and completely takes your mind off of the fact your even at a doctors office! The offer some cool perks like free WiFi (password is on the wall), water, and hot coffee or tea. Dr. Kim and his staff go above and beyond satisfying and making their patients happy and comfortable. I've gotten my teeth cleaned three times here and have had one of my fillings (that was done by another dentist) repaired. Every visit, I have not once ran into a rude or unfriendly staff member. Dr Brooke & staff are just amazing. It takes a lot of numbing meds to numb me up. Previous dentists would poke my mouth sooooo many times that after my procedure that would actually hurt for day's. Since I've found Dr Brooke she just knows her stuff and basically knows exactly where and how to inject the meds so it takes less for me to get numb. She quick efficient and she constantly asks if you're ok during the process. Her staff They are friendly & one thing I love is they are discreet. I am so happy that I found this dental office. For years and I mean years, I have had issues with a bridge that was placed by my previous dentist. I've searched around for a dentist to help me relieve the pain that the bridge was causing but they all referred me back to the dentist who placed it.
