Small, packed. It was my first time at that place and no one was there to help me, so I have to figure things out by my self.

My family is new to the long beach area and we do not have a laundry room in our apartment. i tried usuing this place for the fluff and fold and the first time everything was ok. but recently we have been using the fluff and fold service for all our clothes two kids myslef and my wife. the first time they forgot to give me my daughter and wifes dresses. the second time we found others peoples clothes mixed in with ours. the fluff and fold is not cheap by any means but a major convenience with our newborn. however we felt violated that we are paying a high price and finding other peoples clothes mixed with ours. the most recent problem we have had is that they lost my newborns cloths. he has an outfit he was only able to use once because LAUNDRY GUYS lost or probably mixed out laundry with other peoples clothes. they also lost some of his onesies. very expensive for such poor service and then they try to blame us that the clothes are missing. highly don't recommend this establishment. UPDATE: my wife's description did not change. you just don't accept responsibility, Just like the same when I brought up the issue to the manager at the time when I told them we had other peoples clothes mixed in with ours. she brushed it off as it wasn't a big deal. even told me I didn't need to bring them back. should have learned my lesson from that day. and the second incident when they forgot to give us the dresses they gave a us a free laundry bag. not really a solution. but it seems that is your type of service. we definitely wont be back and wont be recommending you to anyone. please be aware that this place does mix clothes when you pay a high price for the FLUFF AND FOLD service, and don't send anything you're not willing to lose. such a shame I thought this was one of the cleaner laundromats in the neighborhood but the service lacking . read more

I have never felt compelled to write a yelp review before, and I generally have a distaste for review culture, (this is a sponsored yelp result so the business may pay to have this review removed) but this laundromat deserves a special place in hell for laundromats. My experience from start to end was miserable and I won't be returning. Please save your money and sanity and go elsewhere. When I entered the store, I was notified at the outset that they are requesting patrons wait in their cars while clothes are washing and not use the folding tables during covid. No problem, I agreed. I soon found out that each wash is over $5! Some of the machines charge $9+ for a wash. I should have left at this point, but instead I stayed since I had schlepped my laundry to this destination. By comparison other laundromats charge $1.50-$2 per wash. Over 50 dollars spent later, I am leaving with still wet clothes, towels, and bedding. During my experience at this business I found another patron's iPhone on top of the machine. I asked a man beside me if it was his phone and he said no. I tried calling the emergency contact info stored in the found iPhone, but was unable to reach anyone. I asked another patron if it was her phone and she grabbed it from my hand and screamed at me. She continued to go off on me and when I pointed out that I had just returned her iPhone to her she said she didn't care, that she would have just bought another one. After this interaction I wanted to get my clothes and leave ASAP, I set a timer, waited In my car, and moved my clothes from the washer to the dryer immediately after they finished washing. I used multiple dryers and again waited in my car as they were running. When the first dryer finished I went back in the store and began collecting my clothes. During this time I was collecting my clothes from the dryers that had finished running and one dryer had seven minutes left. As I was waiting the final five minutes for the last dryer to finish, the attendants told me I could not fold my clothes in the dryer as I put them in the cart and waited for the other dryers to finish. They asked me to fold my clothes on the bench outside. I told the attendant that I didn't have a bag of any kind and she tried to sell me a bag they have. I told the attendants I was waiting five minutes for the last dryer to finish and would be leaving promptly after. At this point, the attendant took my purse and clothes and rolled them outside, again telling me I could fold my clothes on the bench where people were sitting. I asked them not to move my personal belongings and I was told by the attendants that if I didn't leave immediately they would call the police. All for waiting 5 minutes for the last dryer to finish..... what? I retrieved my belongings and left. As I walked out the attendant mocked me saying "good riddance" and "thank god we don't have to see you again". Wow. Not only was I verbally assaulted by another patron after finding and returning her iPhone, but I was ridiculed by the staff as I left the business. I have never had an experience like this one before. I'm sure the "owner" will reply to this review with some pretty boiler plate response that reads as pretty defensive as they seem to do for other negative reviews, but I have also reached out to them by email and hope we can have a direct conversation. My take away - All around this place is the worst. Please spend your money elsewhere. Update: I received a phone call from a manager at 7:58 pm. The manager called to tell me that I was making accusations that were false, and that "I know didn't happen". When I asked her to clarify what allegations she is disputing and whether she wished to tell me what happened or speak to me about the experience she said "it's clear we aren't the business for you". The whole call lasted 3 minutes. I have to agree, It's very clear that I will not be returning here. I imagine her written response below which again touts their strengths and commitment to covid protocols took longer to write than our phone call. Overall trash. This place can best be summed up by the "I hate it here" meme. read more

Today was my first time coming to Laundry Guys after passing by it every single day, since I live in the neighborhood. I am very pleased with the exceptional service Norma provided us! She well exceeded her customer service skills by greeting us as we walked in and guiding us along the steps into getting started. She multi tasked by helping me and another customer that seemed to be dropping off clothes at the same time. Wow!! She guided me on how to get a new card started and which machine would suit best for my load I needed to wash(A rug!). Every time I come in the big dryers are always used by the attendants. There's always so little clothes in there too. It's really frustrating for a costumer who uses the big loads. Especially when they're constantly raising the prices. Today I got there at 9:45 and left at 12:20. The same clothes were in there the whole time. They would forget about them then remember and add more time. In almost 3 hrs the same clothes were just taking up the dryers. Same with them folding them same clothes for more then 3 hrs. The efficiency is bad. And it every time and I've been coming for a few years now. Either they need to hire more people to keep up while they're on the lunch break or they should use the smaller dryers. Same with taking the baskets. I thought once they got the yellow bins they would use those but they still take from paying costumers. The place isn't as clean as it use to be and it's turning into other places with broken machines all the time. Why are you charging so much if you're turning into everyone else. I remember when they first opened and the owner said they didn't want to be like that. And here we are 3 yrs later and it's going downhill fast. Update: owner basically told me to go else where because they won't admit that they weren't being efficient or costumer friendly to even have a sincere apology. Yes I understand they use the machines but it doesn't take 3 hrs to dry the same costumers clothes. Or even fold them same load of clothes for over 3 hrs. Also I've come here on any day of the week. I have been coming here for the past 3yrs. I love how clean, organized, and how high tech and new the machines are. The pricing has increased a little over a dollar, but it makes sense with how the economy has been in the last few years. Everyone is extremely friendly, helpful, and hard working, especially Ricardo, Olga, and Jackie. Tip: GO do your laundry first thing in the morning when they open between 7-10am. That's when the place is empty, there are more machines to use, there is also more parking, and it's clean for you to use since the staff just sanitized it ;) read more

I discovered Laundry Guys at the start of COVID times in Mid March/early April 2020 because my regular laundromat had decided to close for weeks and the machines at my apt complex keep breaking down. I'm so glad I found this place! I was in a pinch because I needed all my hospital scrubs washed for work the next day and they offered same day drop off "fluff and fold" service with medical grade laundering and sanitation. Staff members were friendly, professional and helpful and adhered to safety precautions. When I picked up my laundry, everything was perfectly folded and conveniently sealed in a plastic bag with a handwritten, personalized note which was a nice touch. Since then, I've become a regular customer. Laundry Guys has become my new go-to self-service laundromat and I visit weekly to get my work and personal clothes/linens washed and dried. My favorite things about this place are the cleanliness of their facilities, their stainless and newer machines, use of rechargeable credit style cards instead of coins, access to soap/water/sink/sanitizer, and clean bathrooms. Staff is always helpful and friendly, the place usually isn't too crowded and customers adhere to social distancing/masking when inside and by waiting in their cars. The costs are slightly higher here but you definitely get what you pay for which is worth it many times over. You can customize your wash to have an extra rinse/spin/wash, etc. Dryers come in two sizes at 0.30 or 0.45 cents per 8 minutes (24 minutes can dry pretty much anything). Im usually in and out under 1 hour. Last wash: 8:45pm Hours: 6am-10pm All of this is crucial especially in the times we're living in this year to feel safe and to be able to get our laundry done efficiently. She always takes care of my laundry making sure I get the best cleaning services possible all while having a contagious smile and treating me like I'm her family. Awesome place with beautiful machines! I went there at least 6 times and every time there were available machines so no wait! The machines are very clean! My only issue is when we are removing our clothes from the dryers into our own laundry bags, we are not allowed to "sort" it. I usually have 2 bags and would quickly put kids clothes in one and adult in another but was told I couldn't. I was the only customer there at that time; nobody around me at all! I understand covid times and no folding inside the places or tables but when I'm literally removing my clothes from the dryer and putting away I can't sort left or right on my bags? Rant over! So I have been coming here since it has open everything is good , but They don't let you fold your clothes anymore inside the facility ( which I wasn't) I was just laying my clothes flat on the cart, it's inconvenient to go outside and fold your clothes. I wonder how there going to do it when it rains??? I understand the whole covid thing but maybe you guys should let people put there cloths flat on the cart??? I pay the prices for your machines to get the full service wash ( I don't like other people washing my clothes ) maybe lower the prices for the time being well at least until the covid passes by?? This place is clean. While there employees were cleaning the equipment or sweeping the floor. Staff greeted me and inquired if I need help. The con side is you aren't allowed to remain inside while washing or drying you clothes. They have removed all seating so you aren't allowed to stand. That is overkill. I came here on a whim yesterday due to the typical laundry mat I go to was super packed. Now I hate doing laundry and I hate doing laundry where there is a lot of people. I was driving and saw this place. I decided to try this place and upon entering we were greeted by Jose. He asked if this was my first time here and he stated telling me everything that was needed to know. The machines here do not need coins but need a card. He showed me where the card machine was and showed me how the washer works. The plus side is that there was step stools in the front of every aisle for shorties for me. That was so beneficial. This place really thought of everything. Side bar you can use your prepaid card to use the restroom, buy drinks and snacks from the vending machines. That is so cool if I say so myself. Another thing that Jose was telling me that these are medical grade machines. Now it is a little bit pricier then what I usually pay but it is worth it. The wash here goes from $9.48 - $10.00 on the 8 load machines and this is an estimate since you can add extras such as extra wash or depending on the water you use. You customize it to how you want it. Now with the dryers there are two different prices where the smaller dryers are at $.30 and the bigger dryers are at $.45 for 8 minutes but Jose recommend that your clothes will be dry in 24 minutes so you need to put in and take out your card three times to get a total of 24 minutes dry time. Also you don't need to wait for the minutes to be done to add more minutes. You can just put in your card and take it out as many times as you want depending on what you like and the screen will tell you how long your time is. FYI for the time being because of what's going on they do ask you when you are done with putting your clothes in the washer and dryer to step outside to your car because there can only be 10 people in the laundry mat at a time.
