Small but really nice. About 6-7 vendors selling a nice variety of veggies, fruits, flowers, meats, baked goods, and one selling cooked something-or-other for a meal to eat there. The Govanstowne Market manages to shrink that desert each Wednesday June-September with a range of fresh produce, meats, baked goods, desserts as well as craft and educational vendors. The market accepts cash or credit as well as payments such as EBT, WIC, SNAP, SFMNP, etc. In my Junior and Senior year summers at Loyola (the market is in a parking lot on Loyola's campus) I would frequent the market to get my fresh produce, try out other goodies and relax with members of the community. Even now, though it is difficult for me to get there on time as I no longer live in the city, I still try to go back a few times per year to support it. What's better than a local non-profit which helps local people support their local farms & small businesses???

They have a variety of mini markets and food vendors in the building: bbq, seafood, spices, bakery, pickles items, clothing, furniture, butcher, handmade crafts, fresh made pretzels, etc. They also had an area to sit and enjoy your food purchases. We also picked up a half of a coconut cake, a slice of strawberry cheesecake, some apple butter and blackberry jam, and as we exited we got the glazed almonds and cashews. This place seems big, but it is manageable to walk around and check out all of the vendors.
