In my opinion the doctor is more important than the hospital you give birth in. The doctor is the one who is going to be making the major decisions during your birth and holding your life and your precious baby's life in their hands. Since in most practices whoever is the one on call when you go into labor is the one who will be doing that, I would say the practice is important. So I chose a place which had a strong group of doctors. In this place, I trusted and felt good about every doctor I met there. The front desk made sure to schedule me with all of them throughout the pregnancy so I could meet them. What I liked the most was their evidence-based practice that was updated on all the latest data. This was combined with a warm and attentive manner. They were very responsive through their patient portal. The front desk was wonderful too. In terms of the pandemic response, they were very safe and followed the guidelines. Temperature checks, screening questions, masks, sanitizer. During the height of the pandemic I would be the only one in the whole waiting room and would be taken to the exam room right away. In the end Dr. Elliston was the one who was there for the childbirth even though Dr. Ng was technically the assigned OBGYN in the beginning of the pregnancy, and thus I was glad I really liked them both and trusted them both. So far I have enjoyed the practice and I'm thankful for their care. read more

Dr. Elliston and the other providers at 1060 obgyn were godsends. A few months ago I gave birth to my baby boy and from the first appointment to the six week postpartum check up- they have been supportive, educational, kind and they clearly know what they're doing. I was in labor for 21 hours so I ended up having all three doctors at different parts of my labor. They also have Beth in the office who is a lactation consultant if you need it after giving birth! read more

There's always a delay in calling me back or answering my inquiries and I am pregnant so it's important I hear back asap. I cannot possibly say enough good things about Dr Elliston! I loved her from the first visit all the way up until the last. I never once felt judged or nervous with her, and she always validated my feelings and my multitude of questions. She stayed at the hospital for what seemed like an eternity when I was in labor for over 24 hours and even stayed later when we wanted a last minute procedure for our baby. I loved that I was able to be as laid back or neurotic with her as i felt at the time and she never made me feel unprepared or overly worried - hes was just 100% wonderful. I found Dr. Elliston through my insurance carrier and also check online for reviews before I made appointment with her, I find her office staff to be very patient with answering questions, and the Dr. is very compassionate and provides excellent care. She spend a good amount of time communicating with me during appt time, and recommended a procedure to be done, even though I decided not to go with the procedure, I felt comfortable with her as she does not push for the procedure. Sometimes, the wait time can be 30-40 min or up to an hour, but it is understandable as she spends a lot of time with each of her patients. Sometimes you have to track down your test results (even though they are supposed to call after received the result), but it's a minor issue to me, I understand the overwhelming administrative things a medical office has to deal with. I have been a patient for almost 2 years now, and I'm very happy I found her. read more

I cannot recommend 1060 enough. My main doctor was Dr. Digregorio, but through out my pregnancy I also saw Dr. Elliston and Dr.Ng. All of the doctors and support staff were so welcoming, reassuring and efficient. I had a bad experience with a previous OB, and the difference it makes on the quality of your pregnancy to have doctors you like and trust is huge. I highly recommend Dr. Elliston. I unfortunately had a miscarriage last year. Dr. Elliston was very empathetic about it. Even though she runs a busy practice, she took the time to answer our questions on the same day that we found out about the loss. She also squeezed me in quickly for an in-office procedure and accommodated my religious requests that involved a lot of paper work. Dr Elliston dropped me as a patient in a very dramatic and insulting way when she knew I was already in a fragile emotional state (I have a high risk pregnancy and a stressful family situation). Essentially had me come into the office in order for her to lecture and scold me until I was in tears. Perhaps she's just stressed with the pandemic - we all are! - but her behavior with me was completely lacking in normal human empathy. I'd hate to see how she behaves in a medical crisis. Office staff was also argumentative and tried to tell me my appointment was cancelled when I was a few minutes late (I travelled over an hour to get there and had called along the way to alert them) then tried to charge a copay when my policy clearly states I don't owe one. Generally unprofessional and immature behavior in this office, do not recommend. read more

I was referred to Dr. Elliston by a friend. As first time expecting parents we were excited yet nervous. We waited over an hour our first visit which is understandable, however, the office staff never communicated any delays while we sat waiting only a few feet from them the entire hour. It wasn't until I got up and asked that they confirmed she was running behind. After meeting Dr. Elliston we felt she was compassionate and knowledgeable and decided to continue care with her. Our second visit and every visit after we again waited over an hour and the office staff failed to communicate any delays with us. I am a healthcare professional that manages a busy outpatient practice and I understand there are delays but a patient's quality of care is dependent upon proper communication. First, we update our patients every 15 minutes of any delays because we understand our patients are anxious and we want them to know we respect their time. Second, I would never allow my staff to sit around chatting and eating lunch in patient care areas. It's unfortunate that a qualified physician like Dr. Elliston has such a poorly managed and unprofessional office staff. It wasn't until my third visit that I noticed she was expecting and congratulated her. She assured me that she would be back in time to deliver our baby but she would have me meet her partner just in case; I never met her partner. We received a letter today from Dr. Elliston stating "she could no longer serve as our physician due to fact that she has a small practice and there are times she has to go and do emergency deliveries which may cause a delay in her schedule- that a bigger practice may be better suited for us". I am 6.5 months along and this was the most unprofessional handling I've ever seen. After months under her care and building trust, a phone call would have been appreciated and the just the right thing to do. Pregnancy is stressful enough and then to have such a stressful experience with the person you trusted most to care for you and your baby is just horrible patient care. Im lucky I work in the healthcare industry and have the help to find a better physician but I sympathize with anyone else this has happened to that isn't so fortunate. Anyways, this is a blessing in disguise and will feel better under the care of a practice that is more professional. read more

I have so much respect for doctors, and I had an initial great experience with Dr. Elliston. Over the past year, I've had an extremely tough schedule with work and travel and have not been back for my "annual appointment" (honestly, it's difficult to block out a 2-hour open window in my work day). I recently ran out of birth control renewals and was in dire need of birth control for a long work trip ahead! This office refused to give me a simple renewal of my prescription because I had not been in for my annual appointment. I find this "withholding of my prescription" to be extremely frustrating and inflexible. Luckily, I found another doctor on ZocDoc that offered to fill this simple birth control prescription ASAP (and did not require me to take time out of my work day). Of all things, I appreciate when doctor's office are respectful and adaptable to their patient's schedules (especially when it comes at zero inconvenience to them and ALL the convenience to the patient). I had no trouble scheduling my appointment as a new patient and got a slot about 3 weeks away. When I went in for my appointment, I found the office to be very welcoming, no wait time (I went in early to fill out the paperwork), and Dr. Elliston was warm and very friendly. She answered all my questions, didn't rush me at all and made me feel very relaxed. I like that practices is both OB & GYN. Dr. Elliston is wonderful. Very kind, compassionate, and thorough doctor. I had a terrible experience with my first OB/GYN when I miscarried this past summer. I had a consultation with Dr. Elliston before getting pregnant again, and so far (10 weeks along) she has been wonderful. The first trimester is the toughest, and she has been so patient and is always able to fit me in if I freak out about something and need reassurance. She does this even if she has a packed schedule.
