That dentist had recommended that I have an older crown replaced and made an appointment for me to come in to do so. When I came in for that appointment, Dr. Price took a look at it and said the work was not necessary and I really appreciate that he took the time to re-evaluate the procedure even though it meant not getting that business. The office is always punctual and communicative. I even make the drive from Philly in order to keep him as my dentist. The two hygienists I have been treated by there are very gentle and quick with their work, which as someone who has anxiety about dental work/medical settings, I really appreciate!

This medical center is conveniently located off of Allendale Road in King of Prussia where I had visits to my dentist, orthodontist, and oral surgeon all in one building. My doctor is ok. The only negative story I have...and it may be a normal thing, who knows... is I had to have some dental implants put in because of a surgery I had a few years back. Last year, one of them happened to pop up during lunch with a coworker. Now they already told me they use temporary glue to keep them in there, but still... how would you feel if your teeth popped out during a date or an important meeting? Other than that, he's been just dandy. But my biggest complaint is the hygienist in the office. Ok, great that she's pretty hardcore when it comes to cleaning your teeth, but I seriously don't look forward to seeing her. I haven't been this scared about the dentist office since I was 7. It is like serious torture if your teeth are not perfectly clean everytime you go. It feels like she goes crazy with that scraper, I think I usually tear up some. But... as a necessary evil, my oral hygiene habit is 10 times better than it has been recently... but probably still not good enough for my buddy at Allendale Dental.

I am VERY suspicious of a dentist who emails me asking for a favorable review and then 'vets' my…read moreresponse, so that only favorable comments appear on their web site. A brief background to my visit: Since previous visits had been fairly good, I returned and had a cast taken of my upper set of teeth in preparation for a mouth guard. The nurse was so intent on rectifying her mistake that she attempted to wrench the cast off my teeth too early, resulting in an injury that took months (and two doctors visits, ie two co-pays) to heal. Fast forward to my latest visit (I know I could have found another dentist, but I tend to give folks the benefit of the doubt). My dental hygienist was apparently a replacement. I informed her of the problem with my mouth, but this was ignored. On multiple occasions, dental tools 'slipped' and ended up hitting my cheek, chin, etc. To cap it all off, when told by the dentist that she needed to use a particular tool to remove coffee stains, one which she had not used before, she made an audible comment to her colleague, 'it's removing SOME of it.' Some of it? So I am paying for incomplete service? How about I only pay SOME of my bill? Interestingly enough, that is another matter. When I questioning what had resulted in a $50 charge on my statement that I did not recognize, I was told that it related to a missed appointment from my wife, and that if two people were under the same plan and lived at the same address, it was policy to send out one statement. Now I don't know if that is in contravention of HIPAA rules (I believe it is), but is certainly MOST unethical. Lastly, for those of you who think that I have nothing good to say or that I am complaining too much, the receptionists were very pleasant...
