Most of the vendors seem to have modern, semi-modern items, or crafts/modern collectibles. I did find some nice china pieces, but they were not antique in the least. The store obviously can't tell vendors how much they can charge for their items, but I found some things to be outrageously expensive. A couple yards of stained fabric for 25 bucks, a nearly destroyed basket for almost 40 bucks, a broken stoneware jug for 50 bucks. It made the experience a lot less enjoyable. However, I will say the staff are phenomenal, and the store is clean as a whistle. I'll be back to browse, if nothing else. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon.

However, what makes My Favorite Place different is that they are more flea market than consignment/antique store, and this is something that they fully embrace and own! We have popped into My Favorite Place a couple of times over the years in search of things we never knew we needed. MFP is a treasure trove of used items ranging from trinkets to furniture that are stacked from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, they even have pieces outside lining the sidewalk. To go back to the "flea market" comment, that is truly what the items here are. The store feels like one big yard sale with majority of the items simply being used and old, not really antiques or collectibles. Due to this and the way things are stacked and shelved, a lot of items are pretty beat up. They have a solid selection of furniture pieces, but again they are chipped and worn. If you are after furniture and plan to finish it yourself, then MFP is a solid option for you! Prices are fair and decent for everything in here, even the furniture. The pricing reflects the condition, so again if you are a DIY-er, then you can really find some great deals and good pieces here. Overall, My Favorite Place is a combination of over and underwhelming. Overwhelming in the way of volume of items, haphazard organization and stocking and underwhelming in the condition of items. I found furniture, artwork (original and prints), collectibles, jewelry, clothing, lighting, seasonal decor and so much more. I wandered through the entire store twice and saw different pieces each time. I took a number of photos to help show the variety of merchandise. In terms of service, I asked for help measuring a piece and found a friendly face right away. This store is clean and vibrant, but also unpretentious. I realize everyone's budget is different and value is quite subjective. However, I didn't have sticker shock while perusing and I looked at a good number of treasures. Happy shopping, neighbors!
