A real neighborhood gem. It's my favorite place to go for a massage. Michael who usually works the front desk is super sweet, always gracious and super friendly. Since pandemic, they've taken extra steps to sanitize the rooms, take everyone's temperature as well as the massage therapists and keeps every room clean and pleasant. I usually like to stick to one good massage therapist rather than trying different therapists but i have never been disappointed with any of their massage therapists. They are all very skilled and know their craft and are willing to accommodate your requests if you prefer a soft or firmer pressure massage. They are reasonably priced and they always offer you a bottle of water and there is a platter of assorted fruits for you. It's always my highlight to start or end my week by going to Lavender. I happened to offhandedly mention that to the owner, who was up front, and midway through my massage, they played happy birthday for me and gave me balloons. Super sweet gesture. This place is no frills however for $40 they do a thorough full body message when here with a friend for a birthday message the place is clean quite and very accommodating. They do a full body front and back. The only complaint I have is that they could use more oil and ask you where the problem areas are. But besides that everyone was very friendly and quiet. The place was clean, quiet and had a nice ambience. The guy at the front desk was very polite and attentive to customers. The massage people were too, and that is beyond humbling. However, the massage quality wasn't great. The woman I had was very gentle, but I preferred her to be more rigorous, and I asked her to go harder. I've been to many massage places in my time and paid more money. I have to say this is one of the best places for massage that I've ever been to. I received a one hour deep tissue massage with hot stones and hot towels for 60 mins-$45 and paid additional money for foot massage. I've had back and shoulder problems for many years and Nancy was able to give me great relieve to my pain. They gave me a delicious hot jasmine tea after the massage. The service was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this place for family and friends. I live in the neighborhood and decided to drop by since I couldn't tolerate my pain any longer. I live within two blocks and this is my first tome going here. My experience was very good. I booked the hour massage. I was welcomed and the owner offered me bottled water and. Asked if I was allergic to hand sanitizer. Please keep in mind that there is no hand sanitizer anywhere available to buy due to the corona virus and yet they had bottles in every room. My masseuse spoke little English and that doesn't brother me at all. My mom has been in this country for over 30 years and she never took to the language. Place was very clean and they did so many temperature checks on every employee that walked up and came in the room to give us peace of mind. They know where all the pressure points are for immediate relaxation and know exactly what they are doing! If they are too hard, tell them, if they are too soft, tell them!
