Her treatment and level of professionalism has above and beyond exceeded my expectations. Since I have ZERO skin care regimens, sadly the bar of Dove has been a shower staple over the last couple of decades. After many years of skin abuse, sun exposure, tanning beds, poor diet, alcohol use, lack of exfoliation, lack of love, lack of skin care and the list goes on and on. My skin was in dire need of some TLC. That is EXACTLY what Jacqui provided.  Let me start off by saying her response time and communication is exquisite.  She came very very highly recommended. After combing her Yelp and Google reviews, I knew she was my girl! I decided to reach out and she got back to me immediately, in just a matter of a couple hours. She was able to get me in quickly on a cancelation and then my journey with her began. The stars were aligned. I've only have has 2 facials in my entire life about 20 years ago in my Dove soap days. It's no secret that I was a hot mess. Walking in, I thought, okay, fru-fru sugar scrub, this will be great! NOPE ! I walked into the Harvard of corrective skin therapy. Corrective skin therapy? What's that? You mean, you can smooth out my fine lines? YES PLEASE !!!!! I had no idea what I was signing up for and let Jacqui take full control and be the captain driving the ship. I told her to do whatever she wanted to do based on her professional opinion and my level of skin abuse. I just sat back and enjoyed myself for 90mins and fell asleep at the end during light therapy. Her level of expertise said, a hydro facial was the best approach to start. I was so dry, so cracked, so many layers of dead skin. I can't recall the names of all the treatments and layers we did because I am still learning. She has so many fancy devices, with the most modern technology.  All I know is rejuvenation was achieved by the end of our first session. Corrective therapy has begun. She calmly talked me through the entire process. She was always checking in with me, my well being and my comfort level. Her gentle touch and soothing voice brought me to full meditative state of calm.  After treatment, she showed me the water collected from the hydro therapy. BRO......I MEAN BRO !!!!!! You guys ...... it was mind blowing! I literally showered 30 mins before I walked into her office. What she extracted from my face was unbelievable. My water was a yucky grey like something I'd dump out of my travel trailer. So many toxins were removed. So much dead skin. So much bacteria. So much abuse just extracted and washed away. It felt like a historic building was just in a demolition on my face. Knocking the old structure down to the ground, making room for new cells and growth. Completely starting over. When our session was over, I immediately whipped out my calendar and got back on the books asap! Corrective therapy doesn't happen in one session. This is a journey. Lastly, I purged any product I had at home and threw it away. I am on her skin regimen twice a day like clockwork ONLY using the Lavender Touch product line. Jacqui is a gem. She is very personable and was happy to answer all my questions as I am curious type of person and like learning about treatments, expectations, etc... I did 4 IPL treatments and she recommended I do a hydrofacial as well. I was reluctant at first because I had had one years ago and didn't feel it was worth the price. But I decided to give it another try and I did notice a real difference especially in my very dry cheek area and forehead which both are so hard to get balanced. I have noticed some improvement with her IPL and I know if I were to do a few more treatments it will get even better. It is important to know that the IPL she does is not the same as most other larger companies use. But it is still designed to effectively break down the discoloration and even skin tone. I purchased a groupon for an IPL that was suppose to last approximately 60 minutes like her website stated and in addition had gotten a $125 chemical peel that she up sold me on while I was laying on her table. The chemical peel treatment alone was suppose to be approximately 45 minutes, but no joke in total these two procedures combined took roughly 35 minutes! Leaving the place, I wondered why it was so short, so I went on her website to read the descriptions. After texting her about it, she got back to me and said most of that time that was accounted for would have been filling paperwork out. I couldn't say exactly whether the ipl worked because it was my first time, so from what I've researched, you'd need a few procedure done to see results. It's upsetting to come to a place of relaxation and feel like I was being pushed to do other products and procedures and not focus on the initial reason why I wanted to come. Countless amounts of times, I've expressed how nervous I was about having something done like this. My girlfriend warned me that it feels like rubber-bands snapped at your face. She was right about that! I appreciate that she was gentle and very sweet in person, but it all seemed to gimmicky like dealing with a car salesman. I really thought about coming back just for the ipl, but I don't want to be up-sold and told that my products at home aren't working or aren't good enough. The peel is way overpriced and it itched and burned the entire time. I don't think it was necessary for me to have the peel especially because I was already nervous about ipl. Overall it was a very uncomfortable experience after rubber-bands are snapped at your face. I had to hold my breath because it was 8/10 unbearable. After much consideration I decided that my first experience with Jacqui unfortunately was a nightmare and I will never recommend or go back to her. I am $235 dollars out of pocket for a very painful and horrific not-so pleasant spa incident that I guess in retrospect was good it only lasted 35 minutes. Update: 12/2018 My skin FINALLY recovered from the intense damage that was done on my face. I suffered a whole year and am completely sensitive to the sun. This has never happened to me until I started coming here for treatment. Anyone with melasma or hyperpigmentation, DO NOT USE IPL! It is the WRONG treatment for you. Having rosacea for years has only gotten me more interested in preventive methods to treat and prevent this lovely hereditary issue.
