I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Season offered a cheese tasting with 2 types of aged cheddar 12 years and 9 months, a few soft cheeses including the aged cheddar cheese spread ( which we could not resist and took some home). We also tried the dill goat cheese and goat cheese with chocolate chip. The small but beautifully laid out cheese boutique has an area for tastings in the back with specialty pretzels and fudge. Would highly recommend and we will next time we visit Spring.

The Pink Vanilla grabbed my eyes immediately, as it was generously frosted and coated with bright pink sprinkles. Perfect! My cupcake held up for the entirety of the short ride home. Even though the cupcake seemed "large" (measured around 150 grams, about 480 calories) it was the perfect size for me---the cake portion was super soft, and there was plenty of frosting to balance out the cake. Now that I'm back in the States after spending a significant time abroad, I am looking forward to have cupcakes like the ones at Smallcakes on a more frequent basis!
